I'm very grateful for your kind words and generous compliment. It's really rewarding to know that these videos can inspire people to overcome certain doubts and take on some of these jobs, which hopefully leads to a better overall experience. Thank you very much for the comment as well as for your support. More videos to come 👍
You and me both! 😁 if all goes well it'll be posted real soon. I wanted to post it last month, but so many delays with all the issues we've been going through these past two months
Great channel. Really like your style of giving extra parcels of information beyond the main purpose of the video i.e. when to repair vs change out fork stanchions that are damaged.
Thank you very much for such a gracious comment and I'm glad to hear that you found the video helpful. If you have any questions on servicing the fork let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.
Thanks for the comment. swapping to a c1 spring is an easy swap. I know there's lots of mixed feelings about the c1 but I personally like it. The extra bit of stiffness on the low end make the turns feel more predictable.
@@zoubtube Good to hear. Since writing this comment I've read lots of things and was doubting if I should go C1 or keep the current one. So good to hear descriptive comparisons. :)
Glad to hear you found the video helpful. if it's one fork that loves a regular service, this is it. night and day imo. keep on top of it and she will treat you just fine! 😉
When reassembling the lowers, you mentioned checking for negative pressure. If you did have negative pressure, what would’ve caused it, and what would you do to fix it? Glad to see a new video, although I did say no pressure 😊
Installing the air spring into the upper tube without making sure all the parts are pushed to the top of the piston prior to installing it will typically allows air into the negative chamber. The quickest and easiest way to solve it at that point is to reinstall the air spring. 👍
Glad you liked the video and thanks for watching it. The soft jaw is a rockshox reverb vise block, but it is STUPID expensive now. I bought it a few years ago for about 1/3 the price than it sells for now. what I did find is the following which might actually work out better. I'm contemplating getting it. www.ebay.com/itm/276210036547?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1xvcnbCPHT46OAi8p7tqRPA44&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=276210036547&targetid=1583904486362&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9016979&poi=&campaignid=19894961968&mkgroupid=148855406073&rlsatarget=pla-1583904486362&abcId=9307911&merchantid=6296724&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwkuqvBhAQEiwA65XxQGV5EayDiALzUfc_aR3PNoQ4G5_Q7BXZQ5asyZqX_DHnwn6uf1VVKhoCcvsQAvD_BwE

Excellent video. Same fork as mine and I'm thinking of upgrading to the C1 spring myself. :)

Hi. Thank you very much for the quality of your videos. Good video. High quality image and explication. Do you think to do SUNTOUR SR service ?
Thanks for the comment. Sure. I'll make a video on the suntour the next time I come across one

Great video! What soft jaws are you using?
