    Color of Night is one of my greatest, or worst, guilty pleasures 😏

    'Color of Night' isn't a good film, but it's good trashy fun if you're in the mood. Big cast off recognizable faces too.
    I need to watch 'I Love A Man in Uniform' again. I liked it a lot.

    4:30 a bunch of actors getting their first break??? Yeah because Lance Henriksen, Brad Dourif and Lesley Ann Warren, all familiar faces with acting careers dating WAY back, were just such unknowns in 1994 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

    Bruce Willis was also in Pulp Fiction. The same year he did Color of Night.

      Pulp Fiction came out later in the year which redeemed Willis’s career

      I went to see Color of Night just to see the trailer to Pulp Fiction

      Probably the only good movie that he did that year, as that year he also did North in addition to Color of Night. (Note: He also did Nobody’s Fool with Paul Newman that year, but I haven't seen it yet.)

      @@thekingofmovies193 - That one was pretty good. A pretty sweet movie .

    Eat Drink Man Woman is the one and only movie that was given two big thumbs way way up.

    I watched "Color of Night" on cable. Frontal nudity intact. Even if you're gay, DO NOT sit through this campy mess!

    A Man In Uniform seems to be kinda like The Stanford Prison Experiment.

      It’s a solid indie worth seeking out. Tom Mcamus and Brigitte Bako have a tense chemistry and it plays like a lighter Abel Ferrara movie(so it’s still pretty dark!)

    Brigitte Bakker was HOOOOOT in this! The movie was familiar, but decent. I really dug the ending .

    I think they fail to see the point in ANDRE: this young girl comes across a seal that could do cool pet tricks and is mesmerized by this. She never saw this on The Ed Sullivan Show or anyplace else.

    Never seen the review for Andre before, but knowing Siskel’s pet peeve of the family adventure movie where it’s always the father who plays the role of party pooper…and having been caught off guard by this being another such film, I literally laughed out loud, even after I thought the review for Color Of Night already fully emptied my laughter tank. That one really should be a mainstay on best reviews lists.

    I like Eat Drink Man Woman. It's a good movie, as well as the Latino adaptation, Tortilla Soup.

    Are they sure that Color of Night wasn't meant to be satire? I mean, this is Richard Rush we're talking about here.

    Am I crazy or is Gene Siskel of the Chicago Tribune saying that "since the scenes of Willis' willy were cut off, there's no reason to see this movie"? 👀

    • @reneedennis2011
      @reneedennis2011 2 роки тому +2

      Yup. He said that!

    • @sha11235

      He said that was another reason not to, because they were cut out of the picture.

      It's like they always say: Male nudity: never given a fair shake.

    This one’s awesome. I was born in 1973 and don’t remember any of these movies. I mean, I saw movies then, but I don’t remember any of these existing. Seems like made up ai 90s movies.

    Besides Brad Dourif's performance, Color of Night isn't very good

      He’s of the few actors like John Tuturro or Harry Dean Stanton that the only reason to watch the movie is for him. I’ve also heard it said about Tim Curry that Tim Curry has been in a lot of one star movies, but the only reason for that one star was him.

    Tarantino didn't have anything to do with Killing Zoe. Not sure where Siskel got that.

    • @Smeatbass
      @Smeatbass Рік тому +2

      Tarantino was a producer of "Killing Zoe". Avery wrote the film while they were scouting locations for "Reservoir Dogs", and discovered the safe section for "Killing Zoe". Obviously during this time, they finished co-writing "Pulp Fiction", with Avery writing most of the 'The Gold Watch', and the beginning of the epilogue (The miracle shoot-out, and Marvin in the car).
      They had their hands all over each others works during that time because they were both breaking in, so that's why Siskel said that. His statement isn't entirely factual, but it has some semblance of reality probably from something he heard from journalistic reporting.
