With due respect to both Siskel and Ebert, I disagree with their condemnations of The Saint. I thought it was great fun when I first saw it, and I still enjoy it today. Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Shue had very good chemistry, and I'm glad the film had a happy ending.
Ebert is correct. Chasing Amy is the only good movie on the show. That being said, That Old Feeling should have been a great comedy, but the script is awful. However, Dennis Farina and Bette Midler are good together and Carl Riener is a capable director. Now why they all agreed to do this terrible, laughless comedy is beyond me. **FYI - Paula Marshall & Danny Nucci play would be lovers in this film. A few years later, the two divorced their spouses and got married to one another in real life. They have been together for 20 years and have two or three kids.
As ridiculous as Double Team is there’s also a lot that makes it a really amazing film
I ❤ it. Came out in the UK in March 1998 a full year after its US release
the saint is amazing. so under rated
Can't believe Ebert could ever liked Chasing Amy😆
Is the second best movie of Kevin Smith, by the way
Chasing Amy 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
Joey lauren adams is hot
The saint is one of my fav movies, Very underrated. That should've become a franchiese
It did, it's now called Jason Bourne
It was a franchise well before 1997.

...I like The Saint. It's a guilty pleasure. Kilmer rules in it.
I love Inventing the Abbotts. And yes the cast is very beautiful but it's a great love story.
R.I.P Siskel, Ebert and Dennis Farina.
Your comments are the official comment section obituaries 😂
And that Chinese dude who has been in every possible movie. Can't remember his name.
Also, R.I.P. to Kevin Smith's career.
I would rather watch a 24-hour documentary on hippo diarrhea than five minutes of Chasing Amy
Narrated by Werner Herzog !
Is it that bad?
I haven't seen it (tbh I haven't even heard about it before this video)
@@Hellraiser0601it’s not bad at all
So cringe!
I took a date to this, she picked. During the whole movie all I was thinking was, who talks and acts like this? I'm the opposite Gene Siskel.
17:10 I wonder what they'd say now about the Hollywood of today. It's been almost 30 years and things have only gotten worse.
He really APOLOGIZED for Chasing Amy?
For MallRats
The Saint is boring, but I like Chasing Amy and Inventing the Abbotts. I read the story that it's based on.
The Saint is awful. One of the worst movies ever made.
I love it

Even former sun sentinel critic roger hurlburt hated this film as much as we do.
