  • This is a filmstrip that Ford provided to the Ford dealers in the fall of 1968 so the floor sales people would have all the knowledge they needed to "move the metal" in 1969!

Yes most definitely my GrandMa had a new 69 LTD 4 door pillard deluxe baby blue white vinyl roof black pin stripe and all black vinyl & smooth silk like nylon seat fabric material The 69 & 70 full size Fords were Fords very best & finest works of art ever they should have been produced threw the 71 & 72 model years and maybe the 73& 74 model years they were some of Fords finest work ever for the LTD car line ever if anyone from Ford motor company is reading this please bring back the LTD line of full size car line up why they went a separate way for 71 & 72 now I will say the 71s & 72s are unique they don’t elevate my mood the way the 69 & 70s do thank you Ladies & Gentlemen for your time reading my opinions

Thanks for uploading this groovy film strip! It makes me want to rush out to my Ford dealer and order a new 1969 Ford! I like how the strip ends with the 1969 "Going Thing" theme music.

Ford seemed to change the sedans every year back then. We had a 70 custom cop car. Only option was power steering.

I never understood why the radio was placed to the left if the steering column instead of to the right!

Yes indeed the driver was truly treated well & respected For 69 & 70 the radio in his / her reach only was excellent and 71 / 72 the HVAC controls in grasp of the driver only I don’t understand why anyone but the driver should be able to put their Paws on any controls

@@georgewilson1184 My first car was a 1970 Galaxie 500 and I loved having the radio on the left. Nobody else could jack with the radio!!

Gee.. Measures in '69 for side impact protection and impact crumple zones! And here Mercedes bragged about that in the late 70s as if they invented it.
