That is so weird, I started scrolling through comments, and right as I started reading this, it came up in the video. In an almost hour long video, that is some crazy odds.
L1ttleT3d a little bit more. Odds that someone will start scrolling through comments around 1st second is higher than around 350th second, etc etc. So "at most one in 3,600, to be precise" to be precise.
+Awenky look into roll20.com or roll20.net not sure which one but its an online service that links players and dms the entire thing is free and it allows players to make characters chat via text or voice and allows the dm to create maps and tell his story.
+Josh Harness ive looked into that but being in australia the timezones are a killer as most useres are american and canadian. im not functional at 3am lol
These are literally the peak pf Acq Inc. for me - the whole story is cool, but none of it is as hilarious, awkward, downright painful, real and fucking raw as the first three podcasts.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some actions like Cure Light Wounds say "the target regains HP as if they spent a healing surge", but does not require the actual expending of a surge. Lay on Hands actually uses the Paladin's healing surge instead of the target's, which is very helpful if you have, say, a Beastmaster Ranger in the party who has to juggle their surge pool between both themselves and their companion. I do prefer surges over hit dice, because since they're a set amount, you can budget more easily for how many you think you're going to use in a given day. Plus you never have the issue of rolling a 1 on your hit dice and being like "well, guess I have to use another one".
Wil Wheaton's, "Does '19' work for ya?" at least pre-dates this... So obviously, it has nothing to do with 'acid pits.' Besides, he never actually rolls a '19' to get out of the acid pit... He said he did, but not really...
“Wheatoning” should be slang for a 30 second explanation of your grand design for your turn complete with a thorough reading of the exciting spell you plan to cast and all the other awesome bonuses and actions it will grant you right before you roll a 1. People who shake a twenty in their palm for ten seconds while they examine their record sheet prior to rolling drive me nuts. Call your action and roll the damn dice. Maybe try and roll a 1 first before you tell all of us what is not about to happen?
Can’t get over the fact that the player who drove the USS Enterprise seems have a bit of contempt over the new-fangled 21st century role playing technology the other players are utilizing.
4e battles are real snorefests. Rules, rules, rules. And so long. I'm still listening, bc season 1 was fun, and I expect the fun to return at some point, first PAX episode at the latest.
When I'm introducing people I generally recommend starting with Darkmagic Mansion. It has a Straub intro with all the previous adventures, some musical accompaniment, and Jim is on fire for every second.
@@kieran10202It’s so strange - I feel like the first three podcasts are my favorite Acq Inc. episodes in the entire series. They’re so hilarious, and at the same time so git wrenching when you can hear real frustration and anger in the players.
@@Idziemel1 as time went on i think they got more self conscious. Personally I like the 4th arc where they do tomb of annihilation. I like Strix becoming Jim's arch rival.
I love the doubt in their voices as they question the existence of Rudy the undead hound, priceless.
"You don't get better at throwing polyhedrons!" That cracks me up every time I hear it (this is about my 4th listen to Acq. Inc.)
Rudy The Undead Hound? Was that on after Candle Cove?
5:08 “And that one...” “Spits poison darts!”
Chris: “Huh, I’ll have to remember that one for any future puppet-esque characters.”

"...I just want you to know one thing before I die..."
"What?"
"I'm awesome!"

Wil did a genius level job with Rudy.
How is this not an Acq Inc product?
My favorite dnd players . Sad that binwin left the group . But glad he does his own thing
I wish I knew people that played dnd, seems like so much fun
+Awenky look into roll20.com or roll20.net not sure which one but its an online service that links players and dms the entire thing is free and it allows players to make characters chat via text or voice and allows the dm to create maps and tell his story.
+Awenky roll20.net is a great way to find online campaigns, I have played DnD for a year now and never in person, though I'd like to lol
+Josh Harness ive looked into that but being in australia the timezones are a killer as most useres are american and canadian. im not functional at 3am lol
You probably do and they're just rolling dice in the closet.
holy shit Wil with the Rudy bit hahahaha
"It was on between Snorks and MASK." Fantastic stuff.
I watched both of those in the UK, but me and Wheaton are around the same age.
24:12 Rudy, the undead hound
Ru-ru-ru-rudy the undead hound
These vids have such abrupt endings, its almost as if-
Is it just me, or does it sound like Wil is saying Aelofel?
I would love to join this group at least once.
RO RO RO RUDY! THE UNDEAD HOUND!
I can't believe you don't remember Rudy...
Rudy the undead dog and Will Wheaton selling the $hit out of it is the greatest thing I have heard in months.
the dead know of Jim Darkmagic.
Only reason I'm watching these is to get to the episode where al dies in acid
These are literally the peak pf Acq Inc. for me - the whole story is cool, but none of it is as hilarious, awkward, downright painful, real and fucking raw as the first three podcasts.
i really want that picture for a wallpaper
oh Rurururu-Rudy!
Jim use your shield
Only.now do I recognize that Roody the Undead Hound sounds suspiciously like Rubi the Rubix Cube which was a cartoon who's theme sounded like that lol
Did 4e really require the person being healed by a spell to use up resources? That's wild

What is PvP? I mean I know it is player vs player in the gamming world, what is PvP that the dwarf guy hosts or whatever?
www.pvponline.com - it's basically a webcomic, similar to Penny Arcade funnily enough.
u fell like there is a hidden innuendo

Rudy the Undead Hound is the best example of "Yes, And" in practice

Wil Wheaton is one of those insufferable theater kids that thinks being loud and persistent is the same thing as being funny.
Will Wheaton is not funny and tries to hard
Too*
Seriously. That Rudy bit... wtf
fuckin cringefest
I came here to say this. Don't care if comment is years old. Still upvote.
Man, Mike is so unpleasant. Commanding Jerry to hurt himself to heal him.
MaulMachine Mike commanded nothing, Jim commands all!
Theyre all a bit insufferable, except maybe Scott.
I can't take Wil Wheaton. He's so annoying, constantly.
I used to laugh at their PAX antics...
But now, I see how insufferable they all were in the beginning, and it kinda ruins the experience for me.
Yes, how dare they enjoy themselves.
