This is my most anticipated movie so far this year. Austin Butler is a good guy with boat loads of respect. He has a humble quality about him. He truly appreciates where he is in life.
I indeed Austin Butler.... Has talent as an actor...... He appears very humble in this short documentary... I hope that Hollywood does not hurt or endanger his life and personality.
I had the pleasure of seeing this beautiful film today. Tom Hardy and Austin Butler gave steller performance s. I was not disappointed with this engaging tale of bikers in the 1960s and early 70s.
I agree.... A surprising film. Engaging tale of bikers in the 1960s and early seventies. Stellar performances by Tom Hardy and Austin Butler a newcomer Comer.
I just saw movie today. I think it was great. Having 1st exposure to bikers in 1964 at age 12. I was attracted to the wild side the roaring sounds of engines in my ears. The fun lifestyle I loved. I think he followed the book so closely that I was able to know who the characters were before their names. Some of the looks of the actors looked similar to those in the book. I was taken back to my childhood immediately as was my friend who went with me. He captured the times as the way it was. From the way Kathy’s house looked TV ( Bewitched) the clock, clock, sitting on the front porch all bullshitting etc. I felt like I was there again. My friend felt the same. My ft was rocking in to the music. I was that girl on the back with my arms around my bf & the bikes surrounding me as we road. I was proud to be on the bike. I felt I had found “it”. I was that girl. I loved the senecio at the picnics & I had always enjoyed getting the food together with my “sisters” Us women new our bf’s & bro’s would look out for us just like Danny did for Kathy. I loved being on the bike when we rode the whole town I grew up in did. I was at home ❤lol. I have been on the outside & inside of 1 % bike for yrs. In Alaska, TX, WA &!AZ since moving here in 1984! I loved doing all the tattooed contests (as I’m heavily tattooed in old school tatts & met a lot of bikers here in AZ. I loved my experience but that has also changed but then everything has changed. I will never forget that when takin’ care of my bf and/ or bf was wiping off mud, blood & grit to gun wounds. And when getting high went from getting high on booze & pot to shooting’ dope. Everything changed & continuals to today. I feel sad & envy at the sounds of motorcycles roaring down my street of days gone by. Now that I’m also 72 & alone I often wish I had continued to ride but it just wasn’t that way back then or I’d be out there now lol 😂. I’ll say it again for me & my friend who I saw the movie with it was super great & the great making of a movie of days gone by & history of the early riding experience all riding together fast & hard he captured it all very outstanding way‼️❤️❤️🎶Thank you so much. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🌹
I really enjoyed your message I’m in Alaska, from Wisconsin never grew up or around bikes but what a life it would of been!! Hey you did it. I’m 55 alone as well. Something’s changing in this world for the GOOD you can feel it. It’s going to be BIBLICAL! Much love Brent.
I had the honor of meeting Jeff Nichols at the SCAD film festival this past fall where I had an in depth conversation about filmmaking and he was by far one of the most down to earth and one of the most normal guys I've ever had the pleasure of talking to.
I have loved Norman Reedus since I first saw him on one of the Blade movies.i have loved Tom Hardy since I first saw him on Rock and Rolla.they are my 2 very favorite actors and have been for years.i absolutely am going to be the first person in line to see this movie!!!! I will be the first person to own this movie.if I don't die from anticipation first!!!!
I went to the premier last night on the MA/NH Line. I mean what a great way to start the first day of summer by going to a potential classic movie about motorcycles. I enjoyed it very much. I didn't think it was totally Hollywoodized. I found it to be pretty straight forward about how biker clubs started out being a bunch of outsiders sticking together but as time wore on how they turned to much darker elements that is shown today.
Hi from ‘Down Under’…..I’m 64 and a biker. I took my wife to see “The Bikeriders” and we thoroughly enjoyed it ! As a kid I saw “The Wild One” staring Marlon Brando, clearly this new film has a lot in common with that early film…….even has the same characters name “Johnny”…….however, The Wild One seems very ‘Cheesy’ as it was almost a ‘Musical’. The ‘Bikeriders’ is highly believable and set to become a classic of the Genre…….so many ‘layers’ of real life in this film.
I've taken the day off work to go see this. The last time i went to the cinema was to see 127 hours, so I dont know how long that was, but let's just say years. Gonna get on my bike, go get some food and go and watch this, looking forward to it.
I loved the movie. As a child of the 70s, we had a few biker gangs in our small town that we knew. The actors did a great job on this film. That feeling of "the ride" resonating in your bones was really cool.
Saw this last night, Thought the storytelling was A1. The pace was slow but only to provoke the story beats. It's cool to see they shot on Panavision . That sort of plays into the timeline of this true story. Love the line about Tom "vibrating" under his skin, best way to describe Hardy. All in all great BTS video and wonderful film!
One of Jeff's Nichols best films, my absolute favorite. Director of Photography Adam Stone absolutely crushed the look and lighting of this film. Bike Riders by Lucero at the end blew my mind considering I've been listening to the track for 20 years and how much it directly correlates with the film. 10/10 Truly an Americana Classic.
I went to see it with my wife, who is not really a movie person. I love movies, especially the golden age of Hollywood, the 30’s to the 50’s. She fell in love with Benny about the same time Kathy did. After the movie she said “He’s ADORABLE!!!”
Just watch the movie here in Alberta, Canada. I enjoyed it; captured the spirit of the fledgling start of riding motorcycles and MC's. Great acting by everyone involved, beautiful classic bikes and I would see it again.
I haven't ridden a motorcycle in years now. The film made me want to buy one. I came out the cinema and right outside a guy had been knocked off one - he was by the side of the road waiting for an ambulance, his bike underneath a car. I took it as a sign from the universe not to get one. But an absolutely superb film.
as a biker myself can't wait to watch this :D one of my most anticipated films of the year ...had a crash yesterday morning tho...van decided to turn right I'm good, jacket did it's job, wear your gear folks Bike needs new handle bars and brake lever, got busted, hope to get it fixed by the time this comes out to ride to see it
I finally watched it, i'd give it a 6.5-7/10 I think the trailers bigged it up a little bit more than the actual movie delivered but at the same time it was good, Tom Hardy is excellent as always, I saw Austin recently in a WW2 show and I like his work.
Loved this movie. I saw it last night for my friend's birthday. He and I have been riding our whole lives. Walking out of the theater my only disappointment was not having my bike with me to ride!
Most vintage wine goes bad turns to vinegar That's why good vintage is expensive That's one saying that someone who doesn't understand wine says As a chef drives me batty
I thought I was totally in love with Elvis...Then a long comes Austin Butler🫶💓❣️🙏😍😁💕♥️❤️😘😸😄.....Now The King has competition??? I am constantly looking for any thing AUSTIN....and, my heart can't be still😅❤💕🙏🫶👑👑‼️
As I watched the movie for the third time it became a real story about the midwest and how restless people can be living there. Searching for a better life...
I wanted to ride one when I was a kid but my cousin got killed what was crazy he did two tours in Afghanistan was hit on the free way died instantly, I’m always showing them respect when ever I’m driving
As far as I'm aware, Johnny left the MC long time ago. He passed away several years ago. I've seen a picture of his "colors". Benny is still alive, but I don't know if he's active. By the way, it's not Benny at original photo next to pool table.
I got a laugh out of the last statement in this clip. As a guy who has been an "extra" in a pilot film for a TV series, and hired for the use of a couple of my vintage bikes, I saw firsthand the struggle between antique bikes and directors. Vintage bikes have always needed owners that knew all the the machines "quirks", or "personality", which, in the early days of motorcycles made a real bond between bike, and rider...part of the love affair that riders had with the machine ,that I'll be interested to see if it is indicated in the movie, but I doubt it from the director's statement....a detail which he completely missed, that could have been capitalized on. So, It wasn't so much the bikes....as it was the crazy things the director required of these machines. There's a saying that some "vintage bike" guys have..."you gotta have on your ruby slippers" sometimes to get these machines to co-operate. First, they put actors on antique bikes, who are only used to newer bikes....when its cold you MUST use the choke to start them, if you don't...they wont start, and everybody is ready to go but 3 guys, who don't know where the choke is. When it's hot...do NOT use the choke...or the same problem as above happens...... Then, the director makes every rider wait in a group sitting there idling in 90 degree weather for 10 minutes...then bikes overheat, cuz they're air cooled. It's funny how directors want actors, and extras to "get into the period of the scene" .....but they expect 70 yr old inanimate props to behave on command. Still can't wait to see it......
The tough part is. You don't know until you start kicking it over. No starters, no push button. Morning you choke it all the way. After sitting you may choke it 1/2 way, or 1/4 way, or 3/4 depending on how long you've been sitting. But yes, you learn what it will take to start it. And it is satisfying when you learn how to start it anytime, with just a few kicks.
This is Milwaukee-Chicago in mid-60's. I list Milwaukee first, because the Brew City dominated at that time. Hells Angels were wannabes from the Chicago burbs. Check out Danny Lyon's "The Bikeriders" on which the movie is based. There's a reason most of the bikes shown have Wisconsin plates.

This looks like a REAL film. A potential classic! I shall be arriving to the theatre on my obnoxiously loud motorcycle to you know… create atmosphere.
best way to do it
Go for a ride instead. 😊
This is my most anticipated movie so far this year. Austin Butler is a good guy with boat loads of respect. He has a humble quality about him. He truly appreciates where he is in life.
Great way to describe him. ❤
I indeed Austin Butler.... Has talent as an actor...... He appears very humble in this short documentary... I hope that Hollywood does not hurt or endanger his life and personality.
The Michael Shannon scene when he spoke about wanting to go to Vietnam and join the military is a great scene.
I had the pleasure of seeing this beautiful film today. Tom Hardy and Austin Butler gave steller performance s. I was not disappointed with this engaging tale of bikers in the 1960s and early 70s.
The cast is amazing ! Jodie Comer ,Tom Hardy and Austin Butler !!!! That's something i wanna watch !!!!
Bikers changed my life. I am Mesmerized by Austin Butler and Jody and Tom. Such talent and being authentic ❤️
I agree.... A surprising film. Engaging tale of bikers in the 1960s and early seventies. Stellar performances by Tom Hardy and Austin Butler a newcomer Comer.
Anyone who has Jodie comer in their film is very lucky to have her! She is supremely talented, and a lovely human being.
Tom Hardy! ❤. Best British film actor of this era 😎 🎥
Agreed 👍
Everything I've seen him in, I thought he did a good job. Including Taboo and Peaky Blinders.
Saying that Tom Hardy "vibrates a millimeter below his skin" is actually a great way to describe his talent.
Agreed❤
Tom is a mens Man
Oh please his American accent is shocking
@daisychain9713, but he is still a phenomenal actor.
The American accent is terrible
Just got out of seeing the movie. Awesome movie and getting to meet Benny before the movie started was a memory I'll never forget. Very cool
I saw Bikeriders yesterday. I miss the characters. They're all great.
I’m so ready for this movie to come out, looks like a possible classic
It wont be
@@willbaker8505It is trying so hard to be and isn’t.
Austin Butler has a great voice, perfect for background narration 😎
Saw it saturday. Fantastic movie. One of hardys best performances and jody comer stole the show. Whole cast was incredible.
Incredibly hyped for this movie!!!
Thanks, Danny Lyon and Bill Ray for great b/w photos of bike riders from the 60s. Thanks, director, cast and crew of "The Bikeriders."
stand out movie. the actors the directing, the music. I loved it.
I CHECKED THIS BOOK OUT FROM THE LIBRARY BACK IN THE EARLY 90 s!!!!

I'm 52 and have hated going to the theatre since 2015. in the past 9 years I have only gone to the movies maybe 4 times...but I will go see this one.
