I love how Becky said "if they say it's tilted we will gaslight them"
She took the girl boss, gaslight, gate keep to heart
At the end it was quickly identified that the chair is not centered 😅😅 try wives are probably funnier than the guys. Love em ❣❣
I legit was scrolling through comments section to find anyone with this comment 😂
Do not try this at home 😅😅
and that’s why we love becky
@@lanichristie835 yeah
"This was definitely eyeballed into existence," is one of the best tactful insults I've ever heard.
i was eyeballed into existence
I was specifically looking through the comments before posting my own, that that comment / outro was perfect. Both as an insult, and as a closing to the clip.
Me everytime I was assigned to make any piece of art in my Art class
Yes. I was literally fucking dying.
Cool...
lol
The energy of the carpenter guy was super nice, like a cool shop teacher that secretly smokes weed on campus
He thinks it’s a secret but everyone knows
I totally related to the line he said about knowing a design so well you can basically dream it. I like to plan out imaginary DIY projects and I think about them so often at night that I sometimes fall asleep still dreaming about them lol.
I always love the expert in this No instruction videos, they give you the instructions of how to do it right
My dad and his 4 borthers are all carpenters and they share the same energy.
very film industry!!
I love that they are working together, like it being a competition wasn’t even a thought for them
they are the friggin best
WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! Let me get this perfectly straight: You comment something that is completely unrelated to the fact that I have two HAZARDOUSLY HANDSOME girlfriends? Considering that I am the unprettiest UA-camr worldwide, it is really incredible. Yet you did not mention it at all. I am VERY disappointed, dear lily
it's bc if it were a competition ariel would've swept the floor with them😂😂😂
Literally had the exact opposite reaction, I wanna see these gals COMPETE
The difference between men and women honestly 😂
That fact that Emiliano made chairs sound like god handcrafted it himself is pure talent
Honestly.
I could hear him talk about chairs for hours
@@deaddumplings5565 wzSill
Honestly I love how he compared a chair to 1) bed and 2) shoes, the two things I absolutely love about life
It made me feel like he was the Bob Ross of Chairs. :)
Now, because of this, we all need a Try Guys vs. Try Wives vs. Try Staff competition 😂
Omg the Try Olympics!!
try human vs try desk
Omg yes!!
Oh my god YES!
Yes please
“We don’t make fugly things”
*reveals chairs”
LaurDIY - “wtf is that”
😂 I love the Try Wives
It's like a fancy toilet 😂😂😂
"your body is the softest thing in the shop" is a terrifying sentence
Definitely something said based on experience
Can we also take a moment to appreciate Emiliano, the carpenter. He was really nice enough to see how the try wives made art... XD
His, “this was definitely eyeballed into existence” comment SENT me 🤣
He is amazing. Woah 😨.
@@laurabee9788 I laughed so hard when he said that! 🤣
I want to see him again!! The try guys doing a chair without instructions!!!
I love that production team was like ok, it’s the wives so we can allow Powertools
It's bc Ariel is probably very used to using them
@@fourtwenty1813 Also, letting Zach near any powertools would be too risky for the company, lmao
We need a try guys vs try wives without instructions video 🤣 the ladies totally dominate this and I haven’t even watched it yet
YESSS WE NEED THIS!!!
they will have to find something that they do equally well... or poor... cooking sewing sports are all out of the questions...
@@jeremysun7365 this is easily one of the dumbest comments I've ever read
Ooohhh plsss.... YEEZZZZ
I WANT WITHOUT RECIPE ALSO. (TRY GUYS VS TRY WIVES) 😂
I cannot stress this enough... We NEED Ariel v Eugene.
Seconded oml 🤌
Yes! I think sometimes her Full Throttle Fulmer is more intense than Ned's and I love it!
I stand by this comment
Zack vs Becky
There technically was one in the soap making vid! It was so fun to watch
this made me realize how much I miss ariel :( I hope she's doing okay, sending good vibes to all of these girlies ❤
Becky is so funny, "let's just gaslight them if they think its tilted" lollll
😂
Love that Becky pulls Keith's "fancy explanation to justify mistakes" move from without a recipe 🤣🤣
I LOVE IT
Ariel’s “I’m the muscle. Obviously.” speaks to my soul.
Someone who knows she'll be doing all the work in a group project.
@@kimp.dr.n2652 And is happy about it too lmao
I’m loving our chair experts vibes. He’s so genuinely enthusiastic about making furniture and chill
Yes!
He should have been a judge as well!
I didn't expect this, but Becks is giving me mad Zach vibes here. They are both there kinda trying, supporting the others, making up excuses to the judges...
Zack vs Becky, who will win?
Yes I was gonna say … Becky and Zach are equally useless
Becky is the Zach.
@@kimp.dr.n2652 zach wasn't the jimin, he was the becky all along
@@eliesundesastre9473 either way the most useless
Becky's energy at judging is very reminiscent of Keith during any without a recipe judging. (Not the aggressive part though)
So was Maggie lol. She jokingly argued with them and made excuses the same way Zach does 😂
And Ariel was also similar to Ned haha she was clearly disappointed but said she appreciated the honesty
honestly, becky reminded me a little of zach "tell us what you love most" lol
@@wooblywanderlust4333 well becky and zach are clearly keith's husband and wife, so it makes sense that they're similar LOL
Leave it to Maggie to bring Zach's "more isn't chaos, it's better!" mentality with the pom poms. I love her.
As someone who stans Maggie for the sheer fact that she is Peruvian, I want to think she was channeling her ancestors when making that decision lol Atahualpa is smiling upon this chair
@@carolacarassa3095 yeah and the judges were so rude about it, there's nothing wrong about standing with your culture
@@cassidythecat or sitting on it i suppose
I loved how the guys made dress, stuffed toys and pants while the wives straight up made a freaking furniture 😂😂😂😂
I wouldn't trust any of the guys with power tools...
the do have a without instructions putting together an ikea something or other whilst getting drunk :P that was a fun ride!
@@gabiluch87 SAME
true feminism
Becky went full "Gaslight gatekeep girlboss" when she said "if they say it's tilted, let's just gaslight them" lmfaooooo
oh damn u beat me to it by half an hour hahaha
White women and the word "gaslighting" need some time off. So overused
@@whowastheoneguy4719 please take yourself less seriously...
Ariel has got this Becky is definitely bringing wine and Maggie's here for the ride
So, apt.😂
Everyone has a vital and perfect role!!
I think one hour for two chairs when you don't know how to make chairs and have no instructions definitely sounds impossible, so they did great for that.
THANK YOU
I wish they had been given two hours to be honest, would have been safer not to rush with power tool tbh.
Omg how did maggie come up with the pompoms in the same way Zach always throws something in that the judges are like “it would’ve been fine without this” at the end for without a recipe? They’re literally made for each other
Try Guys Ikea video: Screaming and chaotic
Try Wives Chairs: Calm, supportive and educational
"this was definitely eyeballed into existence" what a fabulous sentence
“It’s very important to not only draw your plans, but internalize them to the point that you can dream of them.”
THAT WAS SO MF PHILOSOPHICAL WTF
I'm in art school, and knowing the AMOUNT of unconfortable/ugly or even unusable chairs out there (that are *very* expensive), this isn't half bad!
The reason they're uncomfortable is because you're supposed to look not touch
*IT'S ART.*
12:00-12:27 Maggie must really trust Ariel because there is no one in my life I trust enough to operate a power tool that close to my knee... or any other part of me for that matter.
Okay, but Ariel saying "we agreed on it" about the pom-poms so Maggie wouldn't take the blame and Becky giving high Zach vibes gives me life. Also, the pom-poms actually give me "Peruvian andean aesthetic" inspired so if you come for my girl Maggie you're coming from me and I'll take this offense personally.
Yesss, Peruvian inspired is right! I would prefer less neon colours, but otherwise I dig the pompoms!
Yea same! I liked the aesthetic a lot actually. Maybe if the chairs were painted white it would have also been nicer too!
i love them so much T___T
It's because Maggie is Peruvian!!! Lol the judges just don't understand lmao
@@spideronawhiteflag HAHAHDBEGSGN, not "offended" fr, but I am quite an...afraid of confrontation person, so, yeah, they can catch these hands, but also Merry Christmas.
Let’s appreciate the expert asking Rachael if she was a beginner before answering
Did not assume that since she was a female she wouldn’t know
Yessss 🙌🏻
i knwo right ? he so sweet
This should have been called "Ariel builds chairs without instructions while Becky and Maggie give comedic relief"
Emiliano is the Carpenter version of Bob Ross. The calm vibes. The soothing voice. A vibe.
the cut from becky's "i cried for like 3 hours and keith had to take it down and we had to buy all new wallpaper and then do it again" to maggie's "i'm pretty crafty" is killing me
Say it with me, folks: bring back Emiliano at every single opportunity.
My man Emilio bringing the wood glue hack!
"this was definitely eye-balled into existence" welcome to every try guys without instructions, my friend.
alternative title: Ariel makes a chair with incredible moral support
This was super great, but in the future can you make sure everyone wears proper safety glasses? It's not for sawdust. It's for broken blades that go flying.
And safety boots incase they step on a nail. Not sandles
That carpenter knew all about chairs. Never heard chairs explained in such a way. I like the passion of the user of chairs. It's not just a chair, it serves an important purpose.
Now that we are in November, let's hope it's time for Without a Recipe: Thanksgiving edition where the Try Guys vs Try Partners to cook up a Thanksgiving dinner for the Try Crew
Total Chaos on one side against calm and serenity on the other, only for the Guys to realise way too late that there is not enough time to roast the turkey. Keith would suggest to deep fry that turkey only to have a fire ball when the bird is dumped in
Love this idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fingers crossed we'll get something like this 🤞
I NEED THIS
I love how Maggie has adopted Zach's skill of bad decisions/taste (the tiny pompoms) and excuses "regular chairs can do that too, see"
Right? They're such a match 😂
I love how these girls are a millions time more competent than their partners. 🤣 Ariel’s competence around power tools is terrifying as someone who is afraid of heavy spinning blades.
I love Ariel! When judges were criticising pompons, her little "no" without any hesitation, even before she saw Meggie's reaction - what a team player!!! Amazing person :)
Becky the supportive wife: not crafty **only experience is placing a wallpaper**
Maggie the DIY wife: pretty crafty **only experience is making DIY products**
Ariel the technical wife: **MUHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH** (literally a god)
Literally an interior designer!!
This is definitely “Ariel builds chair w.o instructions.” 😂
Love how they’re all exactly like their partner, great video!
Okay, to be fair, it did not occur to me that ALL chairs have a slight recline until the carpenter pointed it out so I would have totally screwed that up too. Props ladies.
I loveeee the carpenter’s super chill and helpful vibe - more of him please!
He was super cool haha I loved his intensity!
Emiliano is very entertaining to watch even if he's just teaching us how to build a chair. 💖
No wonder Ariel was doing so great - after all, she was used to dealing with a tool...!
Keith’s lap is *shook*
Ariel is everything I want to be in life. She is beautiful, kind, smart, talented, and a total babe.
Me too!
So the thing is…backs of chairs used to not be for comfort at all. They were for servants to hold onto. The person sitting wouldn’t have used them because it would have been bad posture. So technically they made modern but also antique style chair 🤷♀️
🤔interesting! thanks for sharing
Made for servants to hold onto?
@@user-jb7tq7ko7e servants used to stand behind the Lord's chair. Sometimes holding on the back of said chair to let know he/she was there ready for any order.
Mayline Rosario that's so creepy. I wouldn't want someone hovering over me like that 😖
@@user-jb7tq7ko7e right? And imagine having to be the one “hovering.” It just screams know your place :/
Ariel the builder, Maggie as the designer, Becky the salesperson
Ariel deserves better. She's such a boss.
This shows they actually read the comments and care about what the audience wants
my carpenter brain every time they put on gloves and then use a saw: AAHHHHHH
(my shops all have pretty strict no-gloves-with-saws rules because you run the risk of getting your glove snagged on the blade and having your hand sucked inescapably into the saw- now instead of losing a bit of a finger if you’re careless with your hand placement, you’ve lost your whole hand)
“Spinning chisels and your body is the softest thing in the shop” is excellent beginner advice.
“It has an outdoor, natury vibe - it doesn’t fit to me.” This editing is Chef’s 😘 - it showcases The Try Wives powerhouse of comedy, education and teamplay so that I am giggling and bursting out laughing while learning how to build a chair!
Did production just forget to provide safety glasses? Using power tools in sun glasses doesn't feel very safe to me.
Someone should have gone to a local hardware store to get some safety glasses.
Also they forced them to rush... while using saws.
Maggie sitting on the back of the chair as it was being cut was insane to me. Idk if it was just the angle but what if the saw didn’t come off that clean. Other than the safety issues, I liked this video
I agree, but sun glasses are better then no glasses I guess. Not that I condone the practice.
I really think the timer is fake. They probably don’t dont get all day to complete the task so there is some sort of time limit but its not “down to the second” that all their challenges seem to be. Don’t get me wrong its good content, but give us some credit.
No cuz Maggie putting pompoms on the chair has the same energy as Zach putting random sweets that arent meant to be in the food in the without a recipe series ToT
They're meant to be i swear
It's the tiniest detail but the fact that only Ariel had her hair pulled back was giving me MAD anxiety 😰 Just like in the cooking analogy, long hair should always be secured!!!
Thank you! Tie your hair back!
So glad the without instructions series is back!
I think their pets should have a series too. And they'll be called the try pets.
the try cars do a race without instruction
Kim might be too chaotic for that lol
they're running out of ideas 🤦♂️
@@payableondeath9091 ummm they are literally trying new things , that's the whole point of their channel
Think it's kinda done in that pet sitting vid
becky should have said “do you want to sit with us?”
the part that scared me the most about this video is maggie and becky having their HAIR DOWN the whole time. that was the firs t thing they taught us in middle school qhop, horror stories
Thats the difference between a woman who shows up to work vs. A woman who shows up to look cute. 🙂 Idolize the working women 👍
i think its just the difference between women who have experience with power tools versus women who have less experience with power tools.
@@kimp.dr.n2652 I work with a high school robotics team and the boys with long hair are just as bad at first. People just don't think. They should have had a safety person on set checking for these things.
I'm so happy this series is back!! Love the positivity all around, and those chairs are actually kind of beautiful??
As a side note, I noticed the yarn they used is from Hobby Lobby and I would urge the team to not support that store in the future. In 2014 their case that companies should be able to deny female employees contraceptives on grounds of religion went to the Supreme Court, passed, and has set a horrible precedent since then. I was in DC as an intern at the foot of the court building when the decision passed, it was really devastating. Also they've been smuggling artifacts from the Middle East using their company as a front which is very weird and suspicious.
TLDR: Hobby Lobby is very sus, try JoAnn's or Michael's :)
Emiliano is precious.
Loved the “Hallelujah” music upon the reveal 😂 absolutely looks like chairs from the altar of a church
I think i enjoyed watching this a bit more than the try guys without instructions - the construction process is so productive but the end-product comes out to be so funky and entertaining the same way the guys’ do… you have ariel holding down the fort with her mega skills and maggie with her soothing presence and creative diy ideas and becky who’s there to help out and provide steady support and make the mood!
We NEED more of the Try Wives doing without instructions.
This made my whole day and that’s saying a lot because it’s daylight savings time, and I got to sleep in for an extra hour. 😂😂
I was white knuckling the entire time Maggie was sitting on the chair, as Ariel was cutting. I get that they posted “Don’t Try This At Home”. But I would have thought that someone in the room, during shooting, would have told them that it’s a terrible idea and to use clamps instead. The jigsaw could have easily slipped and knicked Maggie’s femoral artery. Ladies, that was a really really bad idea!
I did that shit too when I was younger... with my mom! We built a wall to separate a large room and I didn't know what clamps were and my mom doesn't know shit so as a teenager I remember sitting on wood panels while my mom used the blade. Never thought it was dangerous until I grew up lol. You can call that bad parenting but when you DIY in the 90s with no experience, you just wing it. It's not like there was internet to tell my mom what she was doing was dangerous.
EDIT: not saying it's not a bad idea, IT IS. It's just that in the moment, without any formal training, it seems totally fine.
@@OrangeGraffiti I completely agree with you. The big difference in this situation was it was just you and your mother DIY’ing. This was a professional shoot, with not only the three ladies, but also camera and sound people, producers and production assistants, among others. Someone (anyone) in that room should have stopped it, as it could have ended really badly!
@@prosenfi2 very true!
The only thing about this for me that’s comforting is knowing Ariel does interior design for a living, so at least she knows how to use the power tools somewhat safely
Dear Try Guys, I would like to sincerely place my order for Try Guys v/s Try Wives episodes. WE WANT IT, WE NEED IT!
As a music major, hearing all of the classical music in the background makes me so happy 😂 and the best part about this video in particular is that I have already performed or will perform all of these pieces before the end of the semester 💀😂
TryGuys, y'all should bring some awareness to service dogs and the laws around them on your platform! It would be a really fun video too 😊 Maybe even a series on the different types of service dogs! 🐕🦺
Dude you literally copied the comment right above you
They can collab with Molly Burke.
Yes they could make a video with Molly Burke
I'd totally watch that. I did a term paper on the law and guide dogs my last quarter of paralegal school. More dogs, please.
such a good idea!
The fact that they did this in an hour gives me so much anxiety. I can’t even do all of that in 3 hours. Haha
Becky: I'm gonna be more of the moral support.
Also Becky watching the other 2 the whole time: 😬😟
Becky saying they don’t make ugly stuff like the guys while presenting these ugly chairs is a vibe🤣
I called it. I commented in a previous video that it would be interesting to see the Try Wives/Try Partners attempt a without a recipe or without instructions video, and now their starting it off with building a chair without instructions. I’m happy.
Okay, I have always loved Becky but now she's officially my favorite by saying she hates ASMR because it makes her upset 😂😂😂 FINALLY! Someone who agrees lmfao!!!
Why did they only give them an hour? I feel like they could've made something really nice with more time! They had to make two whole chairs in one hour? I think they did the best they could given the time limit and Im proud of them.
It’s almost like a chapel pew but the social distancing/individual version but they also made it gay with those pom-poms and colors!
Good job, Try Wives!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
i know this is kinda like her job, but ariel has the eyes, instinct, and craftmanship than the four try guys combined 😂😭 ily all
“A tic tack back” 😂😂😂 love Maggie’s creative use of language. Great team work gals!
I don't even know how to use power tools, but the way they used that saw was TERRIFYING
I'm here for the classy energy the try wives give as opposed to the usual more chaotic vibe of the the guys!!!!
"I'm thinking of a tri pod"
I see what you did there, Maggie 👍
I love how the try wives are literally there husbands. They are the lady versions on the try guys.
Ariel saying "we appreciate all the positive energy in this room" after the judgment 😂😂
the panic I felt when they started using the jigsaw while the wood was still upright
The return of Without Instructions is the best thing to happen this week outside the ACNH update
When Maggie sits on the back of the chair for Ariel to jigsaw and Becky is the only one wearing her sunglasses 😂
"Let's just gaslight them" BECKKKKYYY STOP 🤣😭 I am DYIIING!
Ariel : work passionately
Maggie and Beckie : -watch and chat-
I was so nervous when Ariel was holding that tool and Maggie sat on the wood. It feels like a scene on Final Destination. Lol
Ok so....some shop safety all in one place since there were places in the video where this was nodded at but it might be helpful to anyone using power tools in the future to just....have it all at once. Also the reasons why, because I know it sounds like The Fun Police but I promise it's not.* (Love these ladies, definitely have been guilty of a few of these violations myself, absolutely NOT trying to drag anyone involved.)
*This is from the perspective of someone who worked in a University scene shop for four years, not a professional, but this is BASIC shop safety so please do listen.
Clothing - Always, always wear clothing that covers as much of you as possible; it is a protective layer over your skin. Long pants, closed toed shoes *that are secure to your foot* (so it doesn't come off accidentally), and at least a t-shirt.
Dangles - Don't have anything on your body that hangs significantly off of it that could catch in machinery. Take off any necklaces, bracelets, straps/clothing that is loose, scarves, ties, long hair should be pulled back at least to a pony tail, etc.
Safety equipment - There is equipment that is specifically designed to *protect you* while you are having fun with DIY, and it helps KEEP IT fun instead of ending in a trip to the hospital.
Safety glasses/goggles is one of these. Sunglasses work in a pinch as they are technically a protective layer between your eyes and whatever you are working with. BUT they are not designed to be shatter resistant, so if a big chunk of something hits you in the face you will absolutely be injured. If you have the option, please do not choose sunglasses over designed safety glasses or goggles. (No matter how cool they look lol.)
Hearing protection is another, ESPECIALLY if you are using power tools. Either a big, chunky, padded headset that goes over your whole head or little squishy ear plugs, it's good to have SOMETHING to dampen the noise. Your hearing *can and will* be damaged by repeated exposure to loud noise at close volume and it is *irreparable*. You WILL end up with permanent hearing loss and/or tinnitus if you do not protect your ears.
Gloves are good, especially when you are moving big pieces of wood that can give you splinters. They are a protective layer and also can give you grip. You may *not* want to use them when using actual power tools however (especially if it's an unfamiliar tool), because it can block sensation for you and lessen your control over the machine. This will vary from person to person and depend entirely on what tool you are using.
A dust mask might also be necessary/a good idea depending on what you are doing. If you are already sensitive to dust, it might be a good idea to wear one anyway for obvious reasons. But also if you are doing anything with aerosols (like spray paint) or cutting something with a high amount of dust created and/or potentially toxic material that you should not be inhaling (like homasote for the dust and PVC pipe for the toxic material) then you should be wearing a dust mask.
Buddy system - If you do not have a person directly *with* you in your workspace (as the Try Wives demonstrated admirably here), at least let someone know where you are and what you are doing. In the event of an accident (something falling on you, a machine acting up, etc), it is a *very good idea* to have someone else know that you are in a potentially dangerous situation so that if Danger does occur, they can help. Buddies in the workspace is also a good idea in general because they can help hold and support large pieces of material you may be cutting, rather than them falling to the floor uncontrolled.
At the end of the day, DIY and power tools ARE fun and you should have the opportunity to enjoy it safely!
THANK YOU, there has been a surprisingly little amount of comments on how unsafe so many things in this video are. I feel like it would have been easy and very helpful for the audience to understand that this isn't a fun little thing that at most might get a bruise from (still heaps of fun but always be safe) but could really badly injure you if it is not done properly.
ariel wanted to make it more difficult but they juuuust made it with these chairs
This was chaotic and hilarious. I loved the set designer, Emiliano!! "This was definitely eyeballed into existence... Cool!" The ladies were fantastic as always. And this episode makes me really appreciate all the thought, design, and know-how that goes into chairs!
I always love watching the Try Wives to see how little Becky actually contributes to the project, besides her wit.
