With how they spoke here they clearly are more annoyed with fans, which is silly, while downplaying everything genuinely wrong with the show, from the writing, characters. acting, etc. They are incredibly dismissive of fan criticism, which seems hypocritical considering the nature of their "Honest" series. They chose to side with Hollywood this time.
The fun part was recognising the background footage. They were filming on my island last year for landscape, so every time something familiar showed up, I felt like that one meme of Leonardo Dicaprio point and whistling at the TV.

It spent a few seconds of the first minute criticizing the haters for hating the show for the wrong reasons, and then spends most of the other 8 minutes criticizing how bad to mediocre the show is. The show sucks because the writing, plot, and dialogue ranges from bad to medicore (which is most of Star Wars media these days)....but a lot of the haters are focusing on the fact that it has a black female lead.

With how they spoke here they clearly are more annoyed with fans, which is silly, while downplaying everything genuinely wrong with the show, from the writing, characters. acting, etc. They are incredibly dismissive of fan criticism, which seems hypocritical considering the nature of their "Honest" series. Sam Jackson has been arguing that for years. I agree with him, and it would have been awesome if they did it 7 to 10 years ago.
If they did it today, they would just ruin and emasculate the character. Look what they did to Nick fury in the secret invasion series. Mace windu will not fare any better.

Yes, because what would REALLY make Star Wars better is to scour the whole franchise for any supposedly dead characters they haven't brought back yet, and then cross them off the list. I mean, do we really know that those skeletons were Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen? How do we know they haven't been held in an Imperial prison for years and now have been turned into Sith to seek their revenge on Skywalker descendants? Ooh, edgy! Watch how I subverted expectations!
