I'm a black gun owner and if Mr Arbery was legally carrying a firearm and extra ammo like I do a 100% of time, we would not be discussing this incident. This is not a black or white issue, this is a self defense issue first and what ever you want it to be after that. If he had a firearm he could have easily got out off that situation. He might have gone to jail but he would be alive. I would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six. A life in jail is better than no life in the grave. He had just as much right to defend him self as they did. If he had a firearm he could have left the road and took up a defensive position behind a barrier, like a tree and or something solid. Force them to come to him and in his line of firearm and go to work. I believe if he had a firearm and became some what proficient with that firearm he could have easily survived that incident.

In the state of Georgia, it is legal to conduct a citizens arrest, to open carry, and use force in defense of a violent attack. There's no evidence of racism in this matter. These men were simply trying to assist the apprehension of a burglary suspect. Ahmaud shouldn't have grabbed for the man's gun. Facts, and the application of law, doesn't care about your feelings and personal bias. And hopefully neither will the grand jury.

According to GA law the requirements for citizens arrest you are 1) see 👀 the crime in progress (not something from a prior video or something a neighbor witnessed) they didn't.

I'm a black gun owner and if Mr Arbery was legally carrying a firearm and extra ammo like I do a 100% of time, we would not be discussing this incident. This is not a black or white issue, this is a self defense issue first and what ever you want it to be after that. If he had a firearm he could have easily got out off that situation. He might have gone to jail but he would be alive. I would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six. A life in jail is better than no life in the grave. He had just as much right to defend him self as they did. If he had a firearm he could have left the road and took up a defensive position behind a barrier, like a tree and or something solid. Force them to come to him and in his line of firearm and go to work. I believe if he had a firearm and became some what proficient with that firearm he could have easily survived that incident.

In the state of Georgia, it is legal to conduct a citizens arrest, to open carry, and use force in defense of a violent attack. There's no evidence of racism in this matter. These men were simply trying to assist the apprehension of a burglary suspect. Ahmaud shouldn't have grabbed for the man's gun. Facts, and the application of law, doesn't care about your feelings and personal bias. And hopefully neither will the grand jury.

That's the thing, there is no justification for the actions taken by the McMichaels. Take the McMichales actions out of the equation, keep in them calling and following Ahmaud and we have someone alive and not shot by mistake because he rightfully took people who harassed him up a down the road as a potential threat and chose to defend himself.
