Os Guinness, "The Reformation at 500: The Forgotten Secret of American Freedom"

Christian Union New York was delighted to host Os Guinness for a powerful Forum on the Reformation and the remarkable gifts it generated on Monday, February 5.
Dr. Guinness made a compelling case for the importance of covenant, freedom, and the impact of the Reformers on culture. We had a strong turn-out to the beautiful Union League Club and were blessed with a stimulating time of community through fellowship and Q&A as well.

“Faithfulness” as a part of the Spiritual fruit given to the Christian, (born-again), is meant to produce “trust” and “loyalty” among believers, and then a consistent integrity in the culture, as well. “Faithfulness” seems to be an ignored Christian quality and responsibility, now, but it is so needed….so important. 1 Corinthians 10…..the History that affects the understanding of present ideas (presented by the Apostle Paul, who was BTW a student of the Old Covenant) in the Christian Protestant Church, was very important, and still is.

Question: Difference between Covenant vs Contract
A: (20:26) _The second feature of Exodus is a morally binding pledge. The other covenants are almost totally contracts. With a contract you want it to be as narrow as you can so you're bound only on these points, not everywhere. But a covenant is all embracing. Take the covenant of marriage-till death do us part, sickness health-and you can see covenants had that moral dimension that goes way beyond any legal contract_

The Bible 'book' is a compendium of fire side tales and fables,
recounted orally for generations by goat herders and primitive tribes from the stone age, until writing was invented,
and then again, many different sources, transliterations, and versions were copied and written down.

The �new� Testes is also hearsay since these letters, �gospels� and stories were written by the loyal faithful, the camp followers,
not by objective historians at that particular time,
or by any contemporary writers,
and these tales were written many years after the supposed events of this mythical Jesus.
Thus, there is no verifiable evidence of a Jesus in real documented history.
Then, many of these stories, but not all, as many were not chosen,
[ There are more than just four Gospels but only these four were agreed on ],
were compiled for one self-absorbed converted Roman Emperor in his Nicean Council,
for his expressed purpose of conquest and
control of the people of Europe for his Holy Roman Empire.
He recognised that this was the perfect religion/mythology for the future domination of the populaces.
Half of the stories were ignored by the Nicean Bishops and none have been proven to be based on fact.
This �Bable� book is backed up by absolutely no facts and no evidence.
It is not proof for any god(s) ....(or of any jesus as a god...)
It is a historical novel......
