I do think it's incredibly hard to pinpoint when someone has "copied" another person, there's a ton of content that some people don't see for ages or it becomes popular much later on. Especially with minecraft, an idea like an extended piston has existed for Years, and there's probably at *least* 20 mods out there with some form of it out of the tens of thousands of mods. Originality is difficult these days, I only wouldn't say this is plagiarism because, everyone has their own scripts and video styles, and some probably jump on a band wagon if an idea is popular at the time, y'know?
Ironically we just went over basic copyright law in class today. So basically if there is an idea that is public knowledge, you do not *have to* site any sources although it is encouraged if you got it from one particular source. If there is an idea or in this case elements of a specific video (i.e. the shortening or paraphrasing of elements of a video) you must cite the source in order to not plagiarize. If steveee does make a short form of a video as stated at 1:08 he does in fact have to site the video because he is summarizing parts directly from that video. Therefore steveee is in fact plagiarizing other creators.

"These are some serious allegations" had me dying on the floor
"it is often impossible to find the original video" then proceeds to show a flow chart all the way back to the original video, well done steveee, you played yourself
Therefore steveee is in fact plagiarizing other creators.
nice
I feel like everyone who played minecraft and first saw a piston thought "what if they can go further?"
Gotta love how steevee, the UA-camr regularly accused of stealing content, is accusing phoenixsc for stealing content as well despite phoenix simply taking inspiration
