That's a monster of a kit Jim, my head was hurting just looking at the amount of parts involved. Looks good to date, can't wait to see the next video & even more so the finished project in situ on the layout. Keep up the good work & videos. Chhers. Ian.
Thanks for this. I was looking at the furnace and the steel mill from Walthers, they are very big indeed. I'm HO (Marklin) also, nice to see my 216/8 for scale. Since I am going to build a multitier layout, I don't think the furnace will fit if is that tall. Success with your build.
Thanks ian ..not sure what is next its mind boggleing to follow the instructions parts a listed all over the kit , a lot of reading is required before parts are fixed....jim
You are a gluten for punishment Jim , hope the Becks was just for height comparison , job well done sir , better you than me , look forward to seeing it completed
@@UriNierer its about £200 ish the kit...its a very large kit...I would not buy it unless you have the space for it...it is a challange to build as my kit had faults on the instructions and castings...
I know dave, i drank that becks after i finished the furnace tower, its such a big project, i am also extending by big yard crane & connecting it to the main system at a cost of the hoe -009 inner system another complex project...
Thanks a lot for sharing these videos. This kit is really difficult to built because the instructions are rather scarce.
No problem...it was a real challenge building this kit as the instructions are very poor..

Thanks, its such a big kit , i like it as its not an every day model building you see very often..
Looking great so far. Loads of parts as you say. Shame about the instructions and as you said it's huge.
I am building the new Walthers version (2020 ) model, it is a challenge instructions poor
This is the Walthers kit rebadged under Marklin Trix
Beware double check every casting mine had casting errors..
I've got the same version of the kit and yes, instructions are poor for a kit like that.
