until the veterinarian tells when I can remove the cone

Abdominal surgery so my tortie is wearing the cone for 14 days. I hate it but she seems to be resigned to it.
my cat have to use one of those because he cant lick his belly because for no apparent reason there is a hole there

My cat had surgery and is wearing one. They said I could remove it for eating. I was like:
“How would we get it back on?”
He is used to it by now, he just hates not being able to groom himself with it.

I don't understand why putting a cone on a cat ,I hate seeing it man
I'm not sure but as far as I know it serves for medical purposes - to prevent them from scratching their head if something in that area needs to heal.

Actully it’s done after surgery, order to avoid them from removing the sutures off.
I saw a stray cat staying infront of our apartment and it keeps scratching his big wound on his cheeks, i think thats why head cones are good for cats.
And so they stop running around the house at 3am
