As a Boston native, I loved seeing my city and the recognizable landmarks in this vid!
Its a beautiful city, I love to spend more time riding there!
I've been riding a OneWheel for over a year and can't wait to try an EUC because of your videos. Thank you for all the work you put in in producing these. Glad you enjoyed my hometown!
Thank you! Oh you’ll love it, its very nice to not having to worry (as much) about the constrain of range, and the S18 have the smallest battery so other wheel will have even better range!
This real world review was absolutely phenomenal! Great job man!
I really enjoyed watching that. It shows the real freedom of EUC's. Thanks for making it.
Thank you!
This was a really really good range test! Thank you!
Another classic from Hsiang
Thank you!
New feeling fresh and tension . Thank you very much !
Enjoy!
Food and euc’s...two my favorite things! Great that you cover the food adventures as well as the great rides! Awesome vid! 😎
Thank you!!
Love these euc adventure vlogs, keep up the good work bro 💪
Always great content! Keep doing your thing man.

Thanks Hsiang, very entertaining and well made video. Good point about travelling with EUC, you get to see a lot more. I enjoyed the nice views also.
Thank you!!
Always a great video thanks Chooch 👍🤣 ROLL INTRO
Thanks Hysiang
Kick ass video!
Enjoyed this
Thank you for another welcomed option for the enthusiasts to explore.
Thank you!
What a great video and form of transportation. I'm in NYC too and mainly an escooter/ebike rider. But your videos will help bring me to my first euc purchase soon I'm sure. What an awesome form of transportation.
thank you! riding an EUC is like nothing else! just takes a bit of patience to get through the initial learning curve..
fantastic little adventure to the Cape!! the Hsiang EUC travel blog format is great fun! Loved your trip to southeast asia a little while back, and loved this one too!!
Thank you!!
wow! awesome images man, cool video, very entertaining 😄
Thank you!!
Great video. Fantastic long range trip. 👌
Thank you!
Thumbs up for the destination ❤️
Great video, dude! 😃
Thank you!!
So fun. You look like you had a blast.
It was! Thank you!
So cool great ride thanks.
Thank you!
Cool video! Please make more! I like your videos!!
Thank you!
Great video! felt like I had a day out myself just watching it. That food made my mouth water and the scenery was breathtaking. Great job! Keep it up and a may even send you a few bucks ;-)
Thank you!! It was a fun trip glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. I brought a S18, looking forward to all the epic adventure....in the neighborhood 😂
Finally he’s back
=D
This trip seems to have been a perfect fit for the S18! I really like this time of year for weather, too
I rarely had as much fun getting to a destination as actually being there! this makes me want to do these kind of trip more often!
Hey love your videos! I saw this video this morning and then I saw you riding in person today in Brooklyn. We waved at each other because I was on the V10f. Anyway, feels good to see other riders. Stay safe.
Oh Hi!! Thank you! The euc community here is really growing and I am always happy to see another rider, stay safe!
Hi Sean, that was an amazing trip you went on. Kind of sucks having to constantly worry about the battery, but you knew how to handle it, just like you knew how to handle that big donut, LOL. Some of the best 20 minutes I've ever wasted!
Thank you! It was so much fun now I wish I can do another one like it! =D
I love food so much, your food stop made me want to grab my EUC and just travel to a bunch of cities.
oh this was the best part, having a EUC makes it soo much easier to explore and find good places for food! I didn't have to limit myself to a small area in Boston and was able to just find a good recommendation and go there even though it was a good bit of distance away!
Funny seeing the cape on your channel. Cheers!
Omg you stopped at pj's?!
Great video, make it a series
LOL need to get approval from the wife for more euc trips first!
Love when you go to the bakery.... haha... those buns look sweet!!
Oh they are sooo good, just thinking about them make my mouth water. =D
Damn bro in here to look at EUCs and you're here looking at this guy's buns 😁
@@unbr8kbl haha... Brazilian buns are 👍👌🙌👏🙏
I'm a Brazilian living in Portugal and I couldn't move back because of their bakery skills hahahaha
unbr8kbl 😂 😂 😂
That was some Travel Channel-worthy content right there. That was amazing. You took us on a journey. My favorite part was the crunchy donut. Maybe this is how EUC's should be marketed as. Go on a trip, eat some donuts, and ride into the sunset like a boss.
Thank you! LOL that donut was dangerously delicious! definitely worth a trip just to get it!!
I agree ☝️ came here to learn about the wheel and finished wanting to explore places and travel by boat and train and do food exploration 😆
Oh man props on finding Mike and Patty's in less than a day, that place is a real gem
Oh it was such a good place! Will def go back!
This is a really nice way to travel, without a car.
Nice video bro! I’m happy with my preorder of v11 though. Ks s18 seems nice too.
V11 is more of a general purpose wheel I think, and that extra 400wh of battery would probably had made it so I didn’t have to charge at all during my travel for this trip.
Cool trip! I miss Cape Cod. Acceptable range given your 20lb backpack. Surprised to hear about the possible rusting bearings though. Thank you Hsiang!
It only happens when the bearing is wet, its fine once it completely drys out so it doesn’t bother me too much.
Coooool!!! Do this again with the veteran Sherman
LOL I love to but I don’t have a sherman!
Awesome share bro. Now S18 just needs a little more battery.
That would be nice!
Come back on Sep. 19. There's a meet up in south Boston, on Dry Dock St. near the Reebok store. Noonish I think. I would love to try the S18.
LOL I love to but soo much to do!
I really like these roadtrip videos of yours. I know in Taiwan there's a bit of a "tradition" of young people riding scooters/motorcycles around the island, I wonder if anyone's done it on an EUC!
They have!! The local guy I rode with told me they did the “around the island ride” before, sounds like fun!
@@OWGAC epic! Maybe a future video?
U need a higher amp charger for sure! I have a 5A but also a converter to use those car ChargePoints, which run at 240V. Annoying to spend a buck on power, but good when you're in the pinch. Great looking ride! Love the part where google put you on a very sandy road.
That was the first thing I bought when I came back from the trip!!
Would you mind detailing that a little more? With names of brands and models? Please?
I was actually just thinking about taking a trip to P-town with my V 11 and now I’m going to have to. Great video thanks for sharing
You definitely should, it was a very nice ride!
Sweet video, I’d like to go to CapeCod next time I’m in USA
It is a beautiful area!
You were in Boston? Nice hope you enjoyed yourself over here
It was a quick fun trip, I enjoyed it!! The train was so easy I think I need to do this more often!
@@OWGAC haha nice. And more chill than NYC
Great video! I would do a driving road trip & bring an EUC along.
That would work well also! I haven’t had a car for some time but do miss it occasionally.
Be safe!!
Thank you!
REALLY nice vid Hsiang(informative , adventurous, cute butts😉 and wheel details)!
LOL thank you!
I never roll without wrist protection
Paul Greenlee Wonderful
Agreed, a very good idea!!
Dreaming of traveling with my EUC! I think Next year I'll be able to do a nice trip integrating trains and EUC rides :)
It was perfect! Amtrak has a plug at the seat and by the time I got back to NYC (4.5 hrs ride) the s18 was at 95%! Perfect!
@@OWGAC Did you look for a place to charge on the ferry? That would have been a good time to charge, even though you weren't very low.
dan cobar I didn’t see any plugs in the seating area but I didn’t look very hard either! I bet you can probably find one since there’s a bar so there must be plugs.
I would love to start a travel EU vlog with your help!!!
You should! not sure why you would need my help!
@@OWGAC I have never done a vlog before and you are very professional! 😄
Nice travelogue! Hope to hear more analysis of the V-11 incident. Whether some aspect of the wheel may have contributed. While V-11 and S18 are very different, which would you have preferred to take for this exact trip in the end? (Some day, one or the other of these two wheels will likely be my step up/ 2nd one.) This trip is a good test, including urban, suburban roads and off road, last mile transport, to pick one for all around use. Almost gave up on V-11 after the accident - but others seem to love it. So interested in more feedback about that. Great stuff, helpful, thanks!
I still personally leans towards a freak tire defect causing the accident as that was the most unusual thing about the crash. I had originally planned on making this trip with the V11 since the larger battery and better head light would both had been good for the trip. I wouldn’t think of my own crash as a deterrent to getting the v11 since I don’t think any part of the wheel design cause it.
you only waisted about 1 minute of my life because luckily we can fast forward these videos lol i hope it still counts as a view from youtube! thanks for the video.
And miss me chowing down on all the food? LOL
🤔 i am waiting to have this s18 hit that same truck bumper and desintegrate itself worse than the v11 so KS can upgrade the glue to keep the plastic from falling and stop people saying the v11 can't handle a crash😂 nice video Hsiang one again👌🏻
I rolled it down hills and ran it into trees a few times and some bits and pieces fell off but so far the s18 kept on trucking!
Hsiang i was wishing people were not blinded by the style who imo look like a nake unfinished with a small battery but a too much to pay for still KS manage to sell many euc i theyre is not so many sheeps😔
All the orange and teal LUT am I right?
Yes!
What a nice summer excursion on the euc!👍 Just wondering, whenever you stop for a break, will there be a bunch of curious people asking a lot of questions? And how and where do you park your wheel on the boat or in a town or elsewhere? Do you have some kind of stand with you in your backpack? Happy New Year to you!
No I think everyone was pretty focused on enjoying their holidays so I didn't really get that much questions; also there's a sizeable EUC group in Boston so I think people are use to seeing them.
As to the stops, nope, since this was the demo wheel I wasn't particularly gentle with it, just toss it in the corner and let it lay on its side. and to KS' credit its been working trouble free so far!
I can tell that you are from New England by the fact that you have a detailed knowledge of various fried doughs.
LOL I can't imagine there're anyone who wouldn't like fried dough!!
On the very sandy path, what happened? Was there a cut out?
Great vid, really enjoyed watching it.
The very short range of the S18 is a big disappointment though.
Comments from Future Mobile Rides and Duf noticing that the shock doesn't seem to be moving when the wheel is travelling over bumps, footage around the 10.00 mark.
And the observations of the S18 in Mister Elwood's video is a bit worrying.
Look forward to the next vid, thanks.
Thank you! Thinking back it’s likely because that I had not adjusted the shock to accomodate the additional 30lbs of gears I was carrying and so the shock was not dampening the ride properly. Yes the battery capacity on this wheel is the major bummer but I did buy a 5 amp charger after the trip so hopefully that’ll help make the wait less annoying.
As I can see your suspension is locked. But why? Great trip anyway, CG!
Nice vlog @Hsiang!
The suspension seem to be disabled during the whole trip as the footage seem to be showing no travel at all, on either bumps or vibrations.
Did you ride it locked intentionally, was the pressure so high it's not visible at all or are some parts seized as on some other wheels?
Or maybe I'm missing something.
I forgot to tune it to accomodate the additional weight of my gears and the backpack.. thankfully it wasn’t too rough of a ride so it still provided enough cushioning.
Have you ever considered taking the Seastreak ferry from NYC to Capecod?
I didn’t know there’s one that goes all the way out to cape cod! Must be a very long ride! I’ll have to look it up next time as I really enjoy riding the ferry!
@@OWGAC I know it goes to Martha's Vineyard. Also, you've inspired me to visit Cape Cod.
New EUC rider. I'm getting massive foot pump - any advice!?
What wheel did you get ? :D the tyre usually tells you what pressure is max, just drop it a bit til it feels comfortable / grippy
oh and literally any pump with a guage will be fine for the tyres. unless massive foot pump is autocorrect for foot cramp, in which case just ride more and stop being a pussy til' your body gets used to it :)
With more practice it’ll get better. Riding an euc uses a lot of little muscles that you don’t use walking and running, once you build those up your movement will become more efficient and the cramps would go away. But try shifting your weight and alternate between your foot, and lifting your heels.
@@OWGAC cheers mate, yeah that's good it's already way better than it was.
@@OWGAC yes..I second that! as you built up your core muscle wherever that is..you will ride as Hsiang and never look back.
Mmmmmmmmm cheesey!!
And oniony too! So good!
Was there issues rolling the EUC on the bus and train? Did they give you crap for it?
Nope, I was a bit nervous but nobody said anything, train was the easiest since you can walk right on and leave it right next to you. for the bus ride the driver ask me to keep it underneath with the other luggages
The s18 is so beat up😭
Good thing about it tho, is this is the first euc that looks cool with damage like a cyberpunk vehicle.
LOL yeah the beat up looks is growing on me, plus I don’t have to worry about dropping this wheel!
Reviving ! as long as i have time charging does not bother me either. can admire the view^^ the trip looked nice. what would you add to the s18?
I love to figure out how to make a more comfortable seat, as I find my self sitting on it pretty frequently, also if I were to make this kind of trip more often I’d def buy a 5amp charger.
@@OWGAC fast charger sound really the best choice. As for the seat hmm... GOOD LUCK 🤣🤣 I don't see how a seat of any kind could fit on this, the person that will design it is gonna be rich 👌😅
@@OWGAC having tried the S18 and the Sherman what is your preference? Would you sacrifice the speed, power, and range for the suspension and smaller battery?
@@DIVA-MC-7 you can make your own seats and add military Velcro tape so you can take it on and off when you need.
Has your helmet been properly tested for EUC crashes? Will it protect an EUC rider when face planting? Sure, it looks cool and leaves your face open for the video but I think that it's best suited for glancing slalom poles off one's face while downhill skiing. Do you think that it's a good helmet for EUCing?
No it wont protect as well as a full face, and I choose it mostly out of it allowing better traffic awareness than a full face, its less restrictive so I can easily turn my head to look behind me, which i do constantly. Ride safety needs to be a cohesive strategy based on your environment and your own ride style and experience.
Please help, I can't make a decision on my first EUC. I'm torn between the S18, V11, and the ks16x. I don't care too much about speed, as long as it can go 25-30mph. I'm leaning more towards the V11 but I'm worried about the durability of it. I really like the idea of suspension, but I'm thinking that I may want to wait until they make more improvements. What do you think?
Like all tech newer and better things are always on the horizon, if your starting out the best thing is actually getting a used last gen wheel so you can figure out what your riding style is. So maybe a 16x or even a mcm?
8:10 Being portuguese I didn't really understood what you just said? lol, there is a pastel de nata missing there though
You mean the Malasada? Its what they call it at the bakery and I don’t really know if its actually authentic?
@@OWGAC Honestly I don't know what's Malasada maybe it's from other region where I live, they look like "sonhos de natal". There were some typical general bakery and cakes there, but I don't think they are really portuguese? You will find them always in any pastry shop though. But they all of what I've seen looks good there, just found it strange that there wasn't a "pastel de nata" there. That's really portuguese
Ip55, all ip’s should if not waterproof at least should be rustproof
Hi Hsiang, how's the comfortability of s18 for a long ride?
Oh its awesome! I wish there was a seat but I was able to still sit on the case. but having a suspension made a huge difference for ride comfort on long distance trip!
Hi man, I've seen a bunch of your videos and have found them very helpful. This may be a completely silly question but, I've never rode one of these, but I'm considering ordering a V11 or this one, KS 18. My concern is I'm on the short side, 5'4. Is this a consideration when ordering one of these? I'm wondering where my knee will end up?
Wait a minutes; I am 5'6, who you calling short!!!??
@@OWGAC taller than me, but close enough. Going to order ks-s18 as my first. Thanks for the reply!
Sand, trail rails, it's important to explain to users that even a suspension can't cope with those classic problems of an EUC rider. You're still on a single wheel.
Very much so! Tell that to the guys trying to push for 55mph!! =D
Damn 20 min is a long time...
LOL I had to cut the second part down a bit since it was getting sooo long!
Megutaria comprar una
you should, I love the s18!
About to pull the trigger on my first EUC. Torn between the S18 and Sherman. Only thing I’m worried about with the S18 is I hear bearings being an issue and maybe the Sherman might be too heavy/powerful for my first ones. Any recommendations?
Unlike most other modes of transport riding an euc at speed requires a lot more skill, since you need to be absolutely solid on your control of the wheel and be able to deal with things like wheel wobbles since speed magnify any issues. Speed above 30mph, which is where sherman has the advantage over the s18 is INSANELY FAST and dangerous, not knowing your background I would think that the s18 is a better choice especially for someone new.
@@OWGAC thanks so much for the reply good Sir, I appreciate your perspective and all your content you’ve put out for us!
I ended up deciding to put a deposit on a Sherman and practice on a used Gotway ACM until then. I figured for me, having a background in motorcycles, dirt bikes, and OneWheels over the years I’d be quick to pick up on it. I know it’s a beast so I plan on taking it super slow starting out. I’d rather grow into something over time that I will love for years to come rather than outgrow something smaller/less powerful and want an upgrade from in just a couple of months. I was also worried about the build quality with the S18 after watching a number of reviews on it and other hollow wheels. It seems like the Sherman will be a better investment in the long run.
My onewheel is crying
LOL OW is great fun around the neighborhood but for longer distance ride like this, its hard to beat the EUC!
Very good and informative.Greetings from the #Glazun channel.
Thank you!
Nice. Where can I buy your helmet?
The link is up in his description. Just hit "show more" and his helmets are listed.
What is your helmet model?
Check out my video description for a link!
Could you charge on the ferry?
I didn’t see lots of outlets so I didn’t ask, plus I wasn’t sure if its actually okay for me to bring my EUC on the boat so I didn’t want to raise a fuss either.
Interesting how you'd think the V11 would be better suited for this trip but then your phone would be resting in peace
You mean my phone would run out of juice first? I brought a big charger for all my camera gears just to keep them running!
A 5 amp is max i think. But that will charge the battery in 3 hours from zero.
According to KS 6amp is max but I have heard ppl said that the wheel beep if you charge it at 6amp, so you’re prob right.
@@OWGAC Thats still nice but imo 5amp is really fast for such a small battery.
You can definitely go far. Just have to ride at 12mph
LOL that’s impossible for me to do now...
Good Air shocks but the range is short.
Yup, I did buy a 5 amp charger after the trip and it made recharging the wheel a lot less painful.
Did You changed v11->s18?
I crashed my V11! Still waiting for it to get fixed!
Mmmm buns
LOL
Dime como aserlo
I'm kind of worried about my S18 purchase now after watching your video. Your shock seem to have the same problem as one of the new youtuber's S18. It seems to be stuck or very hard and not moving very much. Did you remove all the blocks? Is there something wrong w/ your shock? What are your thoughts on this suspension after traveling almost 80 miles in one round trip?
I just noticed same thing, he was riding on flat road and shock was jutting out full time like it does when it is absorbing bumps. When the shock is not working it and the suspension would normally be tucked inside the shell much more. The only explanation I would have is the shock had either no or very little air pressure in it.
@@Duf I'm wondering if he took out those blocks that were supposed to be on both sides? I have no F'n idea why KS didn't take them out themselves from the factory and are asking customers to take those out. I guess if the air goes out of one chamber it would do that also. I'm very concerned after watching the latest 'wrong way' review of the S18.
@@1floatwheel Those blocks were only in production wheels, Hsiang still has the pre-production wheel that doesn't have those blocks as far as I know. Something is definitely up there. I saw Wrong Ways review, it was a bit stiff I think. I am still very excited to be getting my production S18 within the next couple weeks, but I will be checking a number of things once I get it, for sure.
@@Duf out of all the S18 videos I watched, Chooch seemed to have dialed it right. When he jumps or goes over bumps, you can see the shock traveling nicely, almost bouncy too. So is Kuji's S18 video. But lately, all the production S18 videos I see shows these shocks not traveling much at all. Maybe because they are newbies and didn't quite know how to set up the shock...idk. It can't be that difficult. They are looking at the chart and putting in the recommended air pressure. The last thing I expected was Hsiang's S18 doing the same thing. I'm starting to worry now that there might be a legitimate problem w/ the shock or something. I won't know until I get it I guess. I'm glad you're getting yours faster though, so you can actually take a good look at this.
@@1floatwheel Did you see Mister Elwood's video? There are a few things you need to check/change for sure when you get your wheel.
Epic video! Loved it.. thinking about travel, if you’re ever in the UK, HMU you can borrow my z10
Thank you!! I’d love to visit UK again! =D
You can charge your phone from your EUC, remember 🤦🏼♂️😋
Somehow I never remember to bring the cable for it =D
@@OWGAC smh LOL
The real problem with the S18 is quality control. See this:
forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/20746-s18-full-strip-down-suspension-overhaul-tire-upgrade-mods-and-rebuild-my-personal-comprehensive-account/
unfortunately there's not one company or wheel that did not suffer from QC issues.
@@OWGAC Yes, I'm learning that. I bought an InMotion V8 when it was a mature product, and it was rock solid. Still, the nature of the manufacturing problems with the S18 indicate it may have been hurried, or QC was sorely lacking. Hard on customers, hard on dealers. I've read it's getting better - though some important improvements remain, at least through the first week of January. Thank you for responding.
no way I could ride that..no idea how to balance that thing..I never even got up on the hoover board and that is 2 weeks,I didnt even almost get up on the hoover board...not a chance I could ride this thing....
All the reason why if you do take the time to learn how to ride an euc, it would be even sweeter for you.
@@OWGAC I dont have that much balance.....the hoover board almost killed me,I never even almost got up on that that and that is 2 wheels
if you fall, are you likely to fall on the jaw? (need a full face?)
It depends on how you fall. Keep in mind that your riding condition dictate how you should protect yourself. For me in an urban environment sharing the road with lots of other cars, awareness are more important for me.
@@OWGAC May I also ask pls if you get a monster- bigger wheel easier to learn and more stable?
igor goga I knew a few people that learned on the monster so it is possible, but usually lighter and more maneuverable wheel is easier since you can make adjustment more easily.
I think the pay you took was for google navigating with a car. Next time tell it you're riding a bike.
Using a bicycle would not have been a problem....
Certainly! And I tried something similar with a folding bicycle before so yes it does work, however euc is a bit faster and I like riding them more!
