Got my S18 three days ago. WOW!!! I love this wheel it’s beautiful! What an incredible ride. The King Song S-18 is a well thought out kit! The suspension design is a take-off of the mono shock seen on all modern high performance sport bikes. I love the trolly handle. Once you get used to the way it works it checks all the boxes for me. When in the lifting position the wheel is activated with just enough power to keep the wheel upright but doesn't spin when lifted. In my never to be humble opinion, you can choose a sport bike like ride good for the street and trails or if you prefer the V11 a ride much like the heavier Harley hands down a comfortable street ride with longer legs. Another reason I decided to purchase the S18 over the V11 is that the S18 wheel isolates the rider and hardware, (Batteries, Logic Board) the V11 only isolates the rider against the constant shock of the road. I love the way In-Motion and King Song have taken the time to develop such incredible machines. Can’t wait to see what the future holds…
Thanks for the very helpful comment. My inexperienced intuition wonders if there is a distinct difference in stability between the S18 and the V11. These two suspension designs have largely different unsprung weights, in an attempt to isolate/integrate the rider and the machine. I’d imagine that the “float” sensation on the V11 might be disconcerting while riding off-road because of delayed control responsiveness. I’d be interested to know what the experience differences are between riding the S18 and the V11, with regards to how it feels being isolated the mass of the EUC in being “sprung from the pedals”, or being integrated with the mass of the EUC when being “sprung from the wheel”? I’d be interested to see if they’re developing gyroscopically stabilization to dampen shock loads and make bumps less tiring on the feet/legs. Enjoy your S18. It sounds like a nimble ride.
To me the v11 looks a bit sketchy on hard bumps. The s18 seems a lot more refined overall. Our streets here are absolute garbage and rapid acceleration will never be a factor for on a uni. I just know inmotion makes extremely durable units. There's just something about the s18 that draws me to it..
I really wanted to like the S18. Pre-ordered it, waited months, finally received it. Less than half an hour later the controller board blows out and the wheel is completely dead. Luckily I wasn't going fast when it happened. I could tolerate cheap build quality, but critical components breaking on a brand new expensive wheel, that's unacceptable and dangerous. Always had InMotion wheels, put many miles on them, crashed a few times, never a single issue. This was my first and probably last KingSong. Trading it in for a V11 now.
It all comes down to what you value. To me, looks are important because I'm shallow. Speed not so much. Ability to take on all manner of trails, from more extreme offroading to concrete cruising, very important. Bells and whistles like a better light, not so important cos I won't be riding trails in the dark. I also want to be able to upgrade to a coil shock and really pimp this thing out. So even though I love the look and reviews of the V11 and currently ride a V10, I'm heavily leaning towards the S18. The quality control issues have me worried, but I'd get a 2nd or 3rd batch and ensure at least the suspension issue is resolved.
@@PaulRayProductions Depends on how you intend to use it. S18 is better off road and more curb-shots and pot holes. And range on S18 is good enough for all the riding I do... like I would have to ride 20-30mph for 2 hours to drain it.
@12:37 the S18 has adjustable pedal height and it comes with them low and when you put them on the highest setting its very high, not sure if as high as V11, but I will have a V11 and S18 in a week or so and I will be interested to see which is higher when the S18 is at the highest setting.

@@YourAubsome indeed, I'm strongly inclined towards the V11, they came out with a Molicell version of the S18 which solves the power issues, but I don't expect the build quality to have changed. Can you please specify a few drawbacks of the V11, since for me it is starting to become too rosy of a picture, thanks a ton for your response!!
@@qqnqqpart The V11 overheats much easier than the S18 and lacks overheat protection (you can fry the controller if you don't setup a custom alarm). Changing the air pressure in the V11 shocks is annoying. The rubber grip on the V11 trolley handle comes loose and is hard to secure if you also use the seat (its a constant issues). The V11 requires special pads due to the way the suspension system works (but the special pads available for it are better than those available for the S18). Voltage alone only helps for max speed, not for torque! I would also advise to look Adams 18s video, where he actually showed the NEAR cutout on wheelLog....he accelerates in 2 seconds from zero to 40kmh...someone who is doing such things and THEN complaining about pedal dips or voltage sag cant be taken serious anyway!

I have a couple of questions though... 1) this is not the first video where i see the V11's charge port hanging down. Is that a common issue? 2) for the suspension maintenance in winter, will that include both positive and negative chambers? On the v11 that'll be a drain to dismantle the saddle every 100 kms...
280 PSI in the top chamber seems insane for someone your weight on the S18. I'm about 95kg and I'm using 220 PSI (top) and 100 PSI (Bottom), but i guess it is up to personal preference. Nice video, can't wait to try the V11. I'm interested in it for a commuter wheel, but the S18 was to replace the Onewheel XR that was just a bit under powered for me. It has been exceeding my expectations, so it's fun to see a lot of people bashing it. I'm a novice though so my input is crap :)
@@Papalou1234 oh I've ridden an MSP, 18XL and 16X. All good fun wheels. I just want suspension for my crappy knee. I got esk8s if I want to go 40 mph :)
Both trolley handles are a two step process; you can also turn off the kill switch on the KS S18. Whilst the S18 pads aren't the best, the V11 has none.
InMotion “let” you keep the V11. Every criticism of the S18, or praise for the V11 is suspect right after that graphic flashed. I continue my search for what I believe to be an unbiased comparison between these wheels.

Iam just not getting it, i have a v8 wich has a 20s 2p battery setup and this wheel is not facing any scary voltage drop during acceleration. Why would s18 drop so low? maybe KingSong messed something with battery wires crossesection or what? Whats the design fault? , i cant beleive its because of 3p battery.
Love that you can customise the boot up and shut down sounds! Will definitely be doing that on my V11. Thanks for the comparison mate. Knew I made the right decision going for the V11 but you've just confirmed it tenfold. BTW can I ask, what pressure have you got in your tyres???
Hello I wanted to ask you I installed the trolley handle on my Inmotion V5 and I also have the pedals from v10 / v8 and the tire pressure at 3 bar and my Inmotion V5 no longer drives as it was I no longer have as much controversial about that Cycle as before, how does it go where it wants and I feel every pebble since the pedals are big and pleasant but I lose control when driving and who I try to drive, then it wobbles extremely back and forth you know a lot about what that I suspect that it is because of the v10 pedals and that is why I lose control and the pedals are much too large, the magnet cannot hold them who they are trapped and I believe that the tire pressure is too high even at 3 bar
Just a few corrections: 1. You can charge S18 for up to 6amp safely. You can get an 5amp charger and you charge it faster then dualchargint the V11. 2. Both lights on the Sherman have adjustable angle. Use it. Noone else has to suffer. :D 3. If youre learning you can just step on it ride slowly and take it out. Unless you move it it wont go into carry mode and viola you have a newbie friendly handle on S18. 4. The S18s suspension was assembled wrongly so sadly we dont really know how S18s suspension feels. Definetly not a first batch wheel for someone who doesnt want to tinker day one. Btw Adam how are the pedals on V11. The seem a bit short i have 45EU shoe size. Youre 44 right?
If someone asks Adam, “hey, where’s the S18?”, he could say that “the open concept of the S18 allows for better integration of my new plant’s root system.”

I'm a novice though so my input is crap :)
go ride an msp friend you can also see what is a good non suspension euc👌🏻
@@Papalou1234 oh I've ridden an MSP, 18XL and 16X. All good fun wheels. I just want suspension for my crappy knee. I got esk8s if I want to go 40 mph :)
Both trolley handles are a two step process; you can also turn off the kill switch on the KS S18. Whilst the S18 pads aren't the best, the V11 has none.
Did they fix the issues of both?
I am glad their peddles are flat, my feet hurt from strongly angled peddles. IMO the highly angled peddles are more suited for faster EUCs.
can you do a review on the new s18 with molicel? or did you already?
I didn’t do one yet. Maybe if I get my hands on one.
Is the V11 the 2020 wheel of the year?
For me it is beo
Thanks for the awesome review :)
Great comparison 👍👍
Thank you for this indepth comparison, Adam! Very informative 👍 lol, the end tho... 😹
You stay til the end :D props and thank you!
Thanks for the review Master Adams. If you was to choose one EUC out of all you have reviewed/owned, which would it be?
Still a good value vid👍
Very thank you Bro!! Я сам из России. Город Чита. I know english) Its great comparison. My choice is V11)
InMotion “let” you keep the V11. Every criticism of the S18, or praise for the V11 is suspect right after that graphic flashed. I continue my search for what I believe to be an unbiased comparison between these wheels.
Finally someone sees through the curtain lmao, giant advertisement.
Brilliant... 👍
there was a video about range between these. i need ma range no anxiety
Ok I was gonna buy s18, but I'm buying v11 now. I guess my first KS euc will be s20, maybe in 2023
Why are you still watching you ask...because your content is freaking fire
🙏🙏🙏
Reminded me of the last scene of Ferris Bueller
Alright, let's do this! 🔥🔥
Because it has a 2200W motor that pulls more power.
Love that you can customise the boot up and shut down sounds! Will definitely be doing that on my V11. Thanks for the comparison mate. Knew I made the right decision going for the V11 but you've just confirmed it tenfold. BTW can I ask, what pressure have you got in your tyres???
Thanks for the comment! In 18" i ride 28 psi :) except for when i do stunts etc then 35-40
Wrong Way! Cool! Was thinking around that amount as well. 28-30psi.
Great sneakers, man, how does they called?
What happend to your hand mate?
What kind of shoes are you wearing? Those looks like they have great ankle protection
Vans :)
Is this s18 batch 1? If so, is King Song addressing any issues in batch 2?
event they adress flaw if you tell peoplethey will block you KS like to eared only when it is all good
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARM?
@21:13 Is there a body under that blanket?
This makes me want both. I'd replace my V10 with the S18.
S18 I have the ability to adjust the height of the pedals
sounds like its time to wait for the next edition when some one gets it right
awesome review.. 🔥🔥😍😍
Livehack stojak z doniczki? ;-D
Haha, well, V11 it is (and always has been)!
What's wrong with the hand?

@@Papalou1234 Which one is 'previous'?
@@Papalou1234 I'm wondering if he was wearing protection and if it helped
do you think the S18 will replace your MSP?
No :)
Thats not a comparison bro. The s18 is a toy to go offroad.. ;)
Just a few corrections:
1. You can charge S18 for up to 6amp safely. You can get an 5amp charger and you charge it faster then dualchargint the V11.
2. Both lights on the Sherman have adjustable angle. Use it. Noone else has to suffer. :D
Lol I have size 48, currently riding the tiny V8 pedals. I'm curious how much bigger they are when I buy my new V11
I know what wheel I am getting next year! Thank you for your honest reviews.
Which one?!
@@krikri3387 King Song. Roll.NZ is working over the suspension and they have knocked all the kinks out of it.
You know you can raise the S18 pedal height. Its not fixed height like the V11. I guess you dont know about that.
King(LOCK)Song will ban you in 3, 2, 1 .... : D You won't see any wheels from them in the future :D
We can.. Our wheels are delivered by distributors ;)
Witam! Kiedy będziesz jeszcze nagrywał materiały po polsku? Pozdrawiam serdecznie!
always watch to the end lol
Inmotion pay you for this? Or give you something?
v11 70Kilometers? how do You do it I never passed 60Km untill it throws me off
Are you talking about speed or range?
Talking about range speed would be km/h
@@lpauwels8706 thanks!
Great and honest review. Everytime you say "face plant", I cringe. Oh the things you do for your craft. 😃
Gotway 👆
Wrong Way needs a second flower pot...🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷
V11 does not like flowerpots :D
If someone asks Adam, “hey, where’s the S18?”, he could say that “the open concept of the S18 allows for better integration of my new plant’s root system.”
@@mr_wrongway do you have a link to where to get those flower pots? Around here for some reason all the deck railing flower pots are now like thin at the bottom and wont support a wheel
Shoelace!
I have watched many reviews on both of these wheels and the more I see the less I feel inclined to buy one. They are early iterations, over complicated and primitive. It will be better to wait until the manufacturers come up with a better design and a better build quality.
Uhm... You think the Inmotion is primitive and over complicated?
@@lefotografion this the type of guy to old off on buying a smartphone because a better one will be out next year.
Always chasing the moving goal post.
@Pster Cochrane Enjoy the wait...
@@lefotografion Yes, a clumsy design, watch the strip down and Hsiang's crash, both on UA-cam. One crash and the V11 was scrap.
Peter Cochrane you really have to understand how strong this truck bumper is🤣😂 no euc will survive this face crash! Look like at least one youtuber tryto make this s18 better 🤣😂😂🤣 good luck and dont forget the glue and youre charger😛
@@Papalou1234 slight BURN
please do a V11 vs veteran comparison
Uhm... What should he compare? The one is double the battery size, way heavyer and I think an completely different costumer base
All EUC have a person standing on two pedals attached to one wheel. It is comparable to all other EUCs. If your statement were true then there is no point comparing V11 to S18. Different customer base
@@Kay0Bot yeah, well... No. Same price point, same idea, somewhat same usage area. A person with an v11 could also live with an s18, but I think not with an Sherman. For example a city commuter who uses the underground railroad too, just won't be happy about it. So wouldn't i
@@lefotografion yea I have limited perspective. I don't ride my EUC on the road with cars or to work, just on trails.
@@Kay0Bot Well I'm still riding my totally underpowered V8, but I'm riding it everywhere... Like, everywhere you can go with 30kmh. And I've ridden the gotway monster and the ninebot one e. So I have some comparison
Nah, half a year later. V11: motor changes, bearing problems, motherboard dead. All in all, i nice wheel ... it could be.
I’m so disappointed in the S18, I’ve been lusting after this since I first saw it but as a 96kg (plus clothes) guy I’ll have to hope version 2 addresses it’s shortcomings. I know the V11 is a good wheel but it leaves me cold.
I'm 91kg and it moves me around with no issues. 250psi on the top, 100psi on the bottom....never bottoms out
100 kg, more than 2500 km, no issues.
This the v11 is a beast, I actually love it and btw way you is so handsome I just had to say it lol (a girl)
You forgot to say it’s a nightmare to change the tyre on the V11.
Is not also on the s18? :)
@@MADpack It's less complicated
I just ordered ks-18 and now I feel sad. 😂🤦♂️
It’s a good wheel! I sold my v11 and bought s18 later :) just don’t overpower it!
@@mr_wrongway roger. Thanks for your response. I get my ride in 2 weeks.
I own an S18 ( just turned 200 miles ) and I don't agree with you at all. You where given a pre-production unit to test and you trashed it. As the term PRE-PRODUCTION IMPLLIES , the unit was not fit for sales. Your reviews are biased my S18 has been nothing but fun. It does have a smaller batterie but it is safe ( with the new software) that slows it down and keeps it from stalling.
Io anyone reading this post. The S18 is the most fun wheel i have ever own. Understand it's limitations and enjoy. For a better review comparison between these two units go to choock. That kid really knows it's stuff.
Check out my later review :) I changed my mind a bit :)
How funny I thought the same thing. The s18 looks better in pics but not as cool irl. And the v11 didn’t look as cool in pics but looks awesome irl.
I’ve been leaning more towards the v11 when it comes to suspension wheels but for my riding style I think I’m gonna need the Sherman.
Thx for the video man nice job
how do you brake on those things? I mean, they have no real brake like a bicycle, right?
Lean back :) regen ;)
Good review!
Thanks/Dzięki Adamie!
I ride this wheel from some time...on last ride I've done 28km in heavy off-road. On the way back had alarm with 40km/h 57% battery left on asfalt flat road :/
V11 is climbing well but gives alarms, many alarms... on heavy fast climbs alarms with speeds 35km/h+, when crossing 40km/h on heavy bumpy flat terrain with a lot suspension work also alarms... :/
This baby needs more power!!
We ride hard but wasn't expecting these sounds so early... Actually when the FUN and adrenaline starts...this baby cry! :)
Hope I won't break it too fast! :)
