I am amazed every time I watch you paint. In the beginning it just looks messy! Then by the time you are finished the mess is gone and pure colourful beauty is stating back at me. You are an inspiration!!!
Having watched many of your videos I really loved this one. A great piece of advice to just stop when not feeling the creative juices rather than perhaps push on and make a mess or poor decision. Thank you for that advice and this video. Dan K.
Amazing work of Art ......!! I have found it very different and interesting the way you paint especially using so many beautiful vibrant colours Loved it ! Watching your way to paint is a great learning process Thanks a lot
I love the thick paint too but I have to get over the cost and putting it out and using it like it was free. This is one of your best ones IMHO. Interesting contrast in using the mop then the rigger. That works well.
I love to paint trees our irish trees are so much like these your concept of greenery is amazing congrats from the land of 40 shades (think you might have a couple more)😂☘
Nicely done, sir. I’d enjoy an exhibit featuring you and George Rowlett. Not as to compete, but to complement one another. You are a talented chap. (Again ... a bit late on viewing this video but still catching up).
I like seeing all of the greens you are using on this one but I like when you tell us why you are using a warm vs. cool green, etc. Thanks for sharing your technique.
I understand, Linda. I like making these videos each week, but it's nice for me to have the flexibility of not having to do a "demo" every week and talk my way through it. Some sessions I just really need to focus on the painting. Hope those videos are still helpful though!
Interesting to see you bring the whole canvas along at once (Could partly be the way it seems because of editing I understand). Would love a look when you consider it finished.
Super Turner ! Ce que tu fais est très vivant, puissant, et moi qui n'aime pas trop le vert , là je trouve ça vachement beau. Très beau tableau. Vrai travail de vrai peintre
I’m surprised at how much you like your Yarka easel. I found me problematic, bad screws, too low... I ended up getting a Mabef, but it is heavy. Trying a Soho pochade now. I’m thinking about getting a Take-it easel copy. I love paint huge, even outdoors. Wind is a challenge. Often I anchor with bungees and tent stakes. Weight doesn’t always work. Sigh.
I have just started painting outside and this might be a stupid question but how do I transport a wet canvas? I have to walk 3 miles and then 3 miles back through woodland ect to get to the good spots
Not a dumb question at all. A six mile round trip is quite a haul with painting gear! You might want to look at the company RayMar. They make some great and very light weight panel carriers. I've made my own out of wood, but the RayMar boxes are much lighter. Good luck!
Turner Vinson thank you! I will check them out...yeah it's quite hard sometimes because there is a lot of hills but just makes setting up and painting that much more rewarding! I have subscribed, new to your videos and I'm learning a lot! Great stuff
If I'm traveling, I'm typically painting smaller and have several wet panel carriers to hold my paintings. But when painting my home area, I just lay the wet painting in the very back of my car. It certainly helps to have a car you don't mind getting paint on, haha! But you can easily buy a cardboard box to set your painting in if needed. Certainly don't let it stop you from trying it out!
Too much green on your paintings. There is no dept and you loose composition. It would be better if you would play between light and shadows.Preppare diferent tons of green on your palet, and use other colours.Just friendly advise.God luck!!

With all the very thick paint I wondered where you were going at first but I liked the end result. Good job!
haha, I know what you mean. I feel that way sometimes too!
WOW!! fantastic painting, Turner. Your greens are sooo varied...aspen look strong..and a great composition!
You really use a lot of PAINT!!
thank you!
Love how the greens harmonize together and dont over power the painting 🎨
thank you, Tez. that was the hope!

Great job Turner. I'm amazed at how you can get a tree painted in over all thick paint.
thank you, Mike.
Good job looking good
What a beautiful capture of the place and day!
thank you, Sharron!
Watching you squeeze the living daylight out of those tubes is so satisfying...lol

Like your paintings. The green and this kind normal bush are the hardest things for me. Learned from your video.
Thank you so much! Glad you found something helpful!
Absolutely fantastic.
Many thanks!
Grün ist immer schwierig, kann schnell zu Petersilienfeld werden, der graue Himmel rettet die Malerei..... sehr schön gelöst. Danke.

Who is filming you? It seems like there is another person as you approach your scene for instance. If you do it by yourself, how do you manage that?
Just me, using a tripod
Fantastic work ! Well done, mate !
🙏🏻
I really love your videos
Thank you

thank you! I do pretty much bring the whole thing together at once, skipping around the canvas the whole time

Just stunning. Love the way you paint. Do you use a medium w your oil paint ?
Thank you! I use some odorless mineral spirits but thats it.
No worries. It looks good from here!

O som dos pássaros ao fundo...muito lindo.Amei a paisagem.

How do you keep that thick paint from getting all over everything?!! How long do they take to dry to the touch?
Well executed.
thank you, Thomas

Thank you
Maravilhoso parabéns
I've been wanting to try plain air with my oils for years but havent because Im concerned about transporting a wet oil paining. How do you do it?
