The sun breathing forms were almost written into the kamado DNA because of how long it was passed down and taught
Kinda not related to what you said but... I feel like DS creator should've made Tanjiro related to Yoriichi in some way.. I mean damn they look like they'd be related. I thought Yoriichi was Tanjiros dad or, ancestor when I 1st got into DS 😂
I think you’re right but like Yk how the hashira that uses mist breathing is a descendant from upper moon 1 and how that family lineage is very talented and powerful naturally that he become a hashira in 2 months, if tanjiro was a relative to yorichi he would’ve just been a hashira probably like in a week and easily kill muzan so I think they made it this way just to see the main characters journey in some way idk i hope it makes sense what I’m trying to say here

I've noticed something about the breathing techniques...
If breathing techniques don't depend it's nature but more on it's fighting styles (cuz they imagine themselves making elements in their mind)... doesn't that mean that
1. Sound breathing should be derived from stone breathing cause it's more like stone breathing use of a chain than the iaijutsu of thunder breathing.
2. Flower breathing should be derived from wind breathing more than water breathing.
3. And finally I think mist breathing should be from water breathing...
And I'm pretty sure water is quite better than fire breathing (although my only proof is it's adaptability 😅😅)...
But I'm only pointing out my personal opinions
You're actually correct. There's a graph showing which breathing styles are derived from others.. Sun is at the very top then stone, water, fire, lightning & couple others are directly deprived from sun but some such as beast, flower, insect, sound are actually one of the forms directly under sun that have been bent & twisted into the hashiras we know own type of breathing! Water is stronger than fire I'm pretty sure but sun is the big kahuna 😂

I mean sound breathing doesn’t necessarily have to be used with the chain,it just needs explosions and disorienting speed so more thunder breathing like ig.
Idk about Flower breathing
Mist breathing is more based off of speed and being nimble like you’re cutting through or becoming the surrounding air,and Water breathing is about adaptability.
You forgot the Properties of a Serpent Breath User is that. There Blade can be bended and strike into difficult and small openings kinda like how a serpent slithers.

I would love to see a crossover where Hisoka becomes a demon and his Blood Demon Art is just more Bungee Gum-esque insanity... I also just realized that it may very well be Impossible for any Demon Slayer to kill Hisoka without the sun itself getting involved...
I'd say moon breathing for humans has just 6 forms (1-6) and you just have to imagine not having crescent moons spinning around.
Forms 7-16 are just pure blood demon art

I agree but his blood demon art is just the crescent moon blades not the slashes . He uses the 7-16 forms bcoz he can increase the size of the sword bcoz he is a demon
I think even if not enhanced with demon blood art moon breathing would be #2. While human he was pretty powerful, just not quite as powerful as his brother, but he would have been a pretty formidable enemy.

to be Honest I kinda Agree to you Breath of Stone is powerful no doubt how ever it has mastery on chained weapons or short to say not a Sword. Like stone breathing can be used with weapons such as a 2 handed Axe, a Polearm, A Mace, A Shield, any weapon that deals destructive damage, I mean in the Flask back of Kokushibo it was shown that the first stone breath user is not using a sword but rather a Polearm with chains.
It depends on the situation BUT if we don’t include Sun Breathing
Moon Breathing is by far the most well rounded as it is essentially a mix between the other forms.
Also flower breathing gives you half of STW

I wouldn't say that all of kokushibo moves are reliant on his blood demon art I would say only the second half are truly reliant on his blood demon art
All of his techniques produce the moon blades so yeah all of his moves are using his demon art

It’s a little weird that you don’t allow the average person to use forms 2-6 in thunder breathing even though both Kaigaku as a human and the old thunder hashira can use it, but do allow the average person to use all forms of beast breathing that seem to be specific to inosuke such as spatial awareness and bendy arms. That doesn’t seem consistent
That's because if someone can do beast breathing (They're sword turns grey like Inosukue's) then they can perform all the forms since they're body matches Inosuke. And he doesn't take into account forms 2-6 for thunder breathing because we have absolutely no idea what they actually are

The love hashira has always been super strong she should be the third strongest in comparison to the wind and Stone hashira because she was just born with
extra muscle mass she picked up a big ass Rock when she was younger pretty much bigger than her body like it was nothing he just never uses that strength
to really fight other than to swing her weapon since the characters aren't really no kicking and punching things a lot her
strength doesn't really come in handy other than how long she can hold out in a fight

Love Breathing turns a Ballet and Ribbon Dancers into a Flexible Fighters
it's no suprise that besides Sun and Moon, the 2 strongest commonly used breathing styles are Water and Fire. Rengoku said that in every generation of Hashira, there is always a Flame and Water Hashira, so makes sense that they're the strongest and most versatile if you don't count the special Sun and Moon ones made by the OG slayer and his brother.
Mitsuri's sword is based of the urmi and ancient sword that originates from India I know Nick said that but I just wanted to clear it up a bit

19:51 Tengen's blades actually explode on impact(hence his first form, roar) but its stated that no one knows why(but its most likely cuz he deals with bombs which have explosive materials ofc which may have rubbed onto his blades)
Because of Tengen’s strength when he swings it creates such an impact that it explodes

In reality, there is no real power list between all the breath styles. The strength of a breath style is determined by the user themselves
also, its important to note that the orignal sword forms of water wind thunder stone and flame existed long before sun breathing so no, the only thing sun breathing has in relation to other styles is simply in the breathing aspects
All current breathing styles derived from Sun Breathing. Yoriichi creating breathing techniques and therefore there would be no existing progenitor to his style.

I Feel like you can give a more accurate representation of Thunder breathing than what you're saying because if you discount the long range moves that require you to be able to conjure literal lightning and take the lightning out of the other moves you can get an idea of what the sword movements are for example Thunder breathing second form rice spirit is too attacks forming a plus shape or Rumble and Flash is a form very similar to Thunderclap and Flash but with more cuts and less speed
Rice spirit is defensive
You can’t do that as a normal slayer, you need a demonic demon art to do that. It’s only shown in games just to make pvp more fun
@@trulypurified9183 have you not heard tanjiro say was that Thunder when zenitsu uses Thunderclap and Flash if wind breathers can make wind then Thunder breathers can make thunder and lightning it is basically the same process which you wouldn't understand if you don't understand how thunder and heat lightning are made

kendo isn't an old martial art, it's a sport version of kenjutsu which is much older (and less safe to train). Kendo is bonking an opponent's head with a wooden sword in a cool ass looking armor.
Kenjutsu has a bunch of different stances, although most kobudo martial arts depend on dealing one fatal blow so fire breathing's focus on single strikes is expected.

You didnt mention the importance of speed, speed is the number 1 stat in the DS verse and without it Yoriichi would have lost easily. This puts Thunder breathing much higher, cause if you master it's speed to a higher level you could 1 shot upper moons before they even react

yup breath of wind is my 2nd favorite breath style I am sad that it's low on the list.
The thunder breathing argument doesn't make sense to me because Zenitsu's teacher was the former Thunder Hashira and if he taught Kaigaku he must have been a master of all six forms. That means they should have been included in your consideration. I don't know if the other five forms would change anything but I just don't agree with your reasoning.

A good video would be to quickly go over every known form of every breathing technique. That seems like it would benefit from an in depth explanation.

I would put moon, wind, flame, mist, water, thunder as rip breathing styles and I also agree with stone being low and love would be low all the things you stated is bcoz mitsuri has a whip sword and she only uses it bcoz of her muscle composition it's a technique that would be powerful only if mitsuri uses it
Byakuyagan would be more akin to the see through world. Slowing down the world would be more akin to sharingan. But I'm pretty sure the see through world does both.

imagine a demon slayer with both the 'transparent world' ability along with using the flower breathing technique's 7th form. That's basically Hyuga with a sword but with the physical drawbacks of an Uchiha's MS since using it too much would damage/destroy ur eyes

Im pretty sure inosuke can only use his extreme sensory ability on an actual mountain... its like while in the mountains he gets a natural buff with his beast breathing...

Personally, outside of Sun and Moon I think Water breathing is the strongest form. There is a reason by the end of the manga we have multiple, alive water breathing users (Tanjiro, Giyu, Urokodaki, Murata and Aoi). There is very obviously something about that form that has led to practitioners surviving the Final Selection and then later against Upper Moons. My guess is because of its adaptability.

I know a lot of ppl like to argue that Akaza wasn't trying against Rengoku but man I swear if he had unlocked his demon slayer mark fighting akaza he would've either barely won or, at the absolute least he wouldn't have died.. 🥺 it would've been so badass if they kept Rengoku alive but on verge of death & the 2nd fight against akaza had actually been Tanjiro & Rengoku 🥺 the fight we didn't get but it's the fight we needed 😭
Obanai giyuu sanemi gyomei has shown reacting to demons who is above douma and while holding back douma blitzed shinobu and gyomei reacted to angered kokushibou and he only got a little cut so gyomei is faster and muichiro also has shown reaction feats against kokushibou Obanai reacted and was able to tag muzan giyuu reacted to dkt while off guard and he just fought muzan and akaza in the span of like 5 hours can’t tell me Obanai is stronger than giyuu bcs he isn’t fatigued massively and sanemi is reacting to muzan so practically he’s stronger Obanai in my opinion mitsuri is stronger than rengoku easily debate me if you disagree when was there any statements about kanae doing good against douma it just simply makes no sense she could easily just be stronger than rengoku and no one else and probably equal to marked mitsuri and being stronger than rengoku is a pretty small feat if we’re looking at the other hashira’s

We don't even know if Kokushibo had more than 16/17 forms since he got smoked 💀 but ya I personally feel like moon should be #2 even if it was a demon that used it.
