The Fit of our AskOkey Bespoke Trouser
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 чер 2022
- Finally, trousers with proportion, balance, silhouette and fit: not easy to achieve - so difficult, in fact, that the Proff had to design his own because they simply are not available elsewhere, bespoke or ready made. For something to appeal to the eye, it has to follow the golden rule of thirds (proportion): the top of the AskOkey trousers, at your natural waist, sits two-thirds of your height above your feet (the golden rule). For balance, the trouser waistline is where your jacket buttons up. The silhouette is the line from your jacket, down the outside of the trousers, all the way to the ground, possible only with AskOkey's fuller cut in the thighs and knees. Fit is ensured by the waist, slightly loose,, and the way that the trousers drape from your shoulders, via the braces, moving with you. Available in pleated and flat front versions, in a variety of colors and fabrics, AskOkey's classic trousers make you look better than any other trousers can.

That’s right Alvaro. I found my own voice 😁 Thank you 🙏🏾 PROFF
That shirt is so dope. Strength, Beauty, Wisdom.
Thank you Jay 🔥
Welcome aboard sir 😁
Prof. I religiously watch your videos, and what attracts me to your videos is your attention to detail, your wordsmith about the subject, and above all your dedication to excellence. Please, keep it up.
Prof. I would like you to address the issue of age or generational gap with regard to elegant dressing. What was elegant in the 50s is archaic today. And if you became of age in the 50s, today you look at what is called elegant as something weird. Please, teach us or throw some light on how one can bridge the gap of generations, and still look or dress elegant.
Thanks
For my perspective, as a 27 year old who also religiously watches Okey's videos (the discord is alright too-lots of edgy "stoic" teenager types tho), it's about appropriate formality for the occasion. Don't wear a suit to see a basketball game at a friends house. However, you can keep the principles of elegance in mind, and wear some well-fitting trousers, perhaps something with an interesting pattern or material. This is a step above jeans, which is what everyone else will be wearing, and a great starting spot. Now for shoes, we can put some chukkas on, and add your favorite basketball team's shirt on top, you're ready!
Change the shirt for a button-down, throw a sports coat on, and you've got an outfit that's a step above.
It's just about finding your personal style, and finding the best way to express it for each occasion, it's not about wearing a suit all the time or trying to cosplay as Cary Grant. You will not look like Cary Grant, you'll look ridiculous.
Archaic to who?
Pleated pants are my next must have. You look good brother. Thanks for your videos.
Thank you Aziz. We would be more than delighted to make you a pair. Or more 😁 PROFF!

Thanks for the lessons, Prof. I see no-one utilizing this age only even Ancient knowledge of balance applied to clothing. I have purchased a wonderful pair of suspenders in anticipation of stepping up to the Ask Okey Trousers. I can hardly wait to rock this style in Atlanta, Ga.

May I ask do you ship to Germany these fancy trousers
Just recently that question was asked, and I can remember in the 70's, my grandfather was told me, " one of the most expensive cloths a man purchased is " surge 900, or 700." Is my grandfather correct?
You too sabi! Jah Bless!!
Hahahah 🤣 Thank you Shehu. And welcome to AskOkey. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @askokeyig PROFF
Thank you for this useful illustration Mr. Okey.
I have been experimenting with the hem opening circumference since the last 2 years.
Initially, like every young guy, I started with a rather slim 14 inch leg opening, and then I gradually increased it with time, and today I wear a 17 inch leg opening.
I still think that I can perhaps go a bit fuller.
For reference, I am 5'9" and I wear a size 7.5 UK shoe.
Is my leg opening proportional, or should I go fuller?
Hi Aziz, I am 6’ 1” and I wear about 20”. All Depending on your shoe size. Regardless of that, I recommend at least 18” to 19” at your height being 5’ 9”. That should give you a nice line. PROFF
Hi I love your content. Where can I find the shirt that you're wearing in the start of the video? The 4 button with the collar.
Hey Prof! Love the content! I’m a short guy, 5’7 and wear a 7.5UK shoe. What circumference width do you recommend? Also, would you recommend opting for full lining for the pants?
Hi Rohan, I believe we sorted this out on Instagram yesterday?? 😁 Welcome to our UA-cam channel. PROFF
@@AskOkeyInc yes sir! Thanks Proff
buttons or zip to have a more classic trousers?
Unfortunately, I think you confuse rule of thirds with the golden ratio. They are close, but not the same.
The golden ratio is 0.618, while thirds are 0.666.
I think in most cases it would be better to use the golden ratio, because it looks more natural. And it looks like that is what you are using.
But as always, great video and fantastic advice
What are your back and front raise measurements?
ive been wearing suits wrong my whole life, this looks just right. how much space should there be in the crotch area for room to breath, 1 inch 2 inch?
Could you please inform me, what is the most expensive clothe a man can purchase?
Is it advisable to wear high waisted trousers compared to mid waist? I'm 5'9 by the way.
ALWAYS more flattering
We don't all have a physique that looks like it was sculpted by Michelangelo like Okey has.
Good evening Honorable Vet. PROFF (Okey) wasn’t born like this you know 😅. You’ve been Military your whole life, so have I. I attended Military School as a teenager and those habits never left me.
It’s never too late to become a Michelangelo Sculpture my guy. Let’s GET IT! 💪🏾

@@AskOkeyInc Thanks for the inspiration. We are very similar indeed. I am 6'2" but have not been keeping up with my fitness regimen so I need to shed a few lbs.
