The cloak looks so great! Thank you for sharing your experience. Starting a new skill is always hard, but good on you for sticking with it! Looking forward to the next challenge!
Hi! I cannot sew for the life of me and this gave me so much hope for my future costume for a roman larp im playing in. Im also making a larp channel on a different account and you have been giving me so much motivation to do so! Love you and your channel
Jess your content and your manner of presenting it are always so engaging. This was super cool. I've made clothing and etc from an early age, and I really appreciated hearing from some who has had a very different experience. Yeah, sometimes you just decide to stop working on something--good enough IS good enough. Sometimes continuing to refine is fun. Clearly you have a good eye for what you are making. The colors and proportions were lovely! Having the tie come back around to the front was kinda brilliant. In my opinion is the most important element of what we make for ourselves is this--the swagger you have when you wear something of your own. How perfect or imperfect it is doesn't matter. You have swagger. The simplest T tunic we make ourselves for ourselves will always be worn with a bit of attitiude the snazziest purchased off the rack item can never inspire.
Well that's perfectly fine. That's how we learn, and usually SOMETHING is salvageable from what we think of as a "mess" or "disaster." Truth to tell, 99 percent of us never ever have a single one of our projects come out exactly as we originally imagined. The "happy accidents" can be the best part.
The cloak looks amazing! Be proud that you made such an amazing piece of kit and that you've learnt so much from making it. Also all the hiccups and trouble you came across is 100% true. Tbh none of my projects come out exactly as I planned, it's a part of the process I guess😅 Keep up the great work!

Thank you! I really appreciate you saying that as my general crafting attempts are often disasters. :D
