    It says "pocket pharmacy" and "indespensable" on the cover. The sticker says "bandaging material factory Chemnitz".
    The red package was indeed antihaemorrhagic cotton.
    The buttons said "unsurpassed durability".
    the unreadable bottle was ammonia solution.

    Seems more like a commercially bought kit that a soldier might carry, the issue ones should contain both pervitin which is methamphetamine and either morphine, or adolfine which is the original name for methadone. Very cool kit none the less, the medications seem to be herbal.

      There are a group of russians who hunt out WWII battle areeas and they even found german field hospital graveyards where wounded geran dead were buried and these guys find out the names and have the bodies returned to their families for proper burial. Many a bunker was found to be in great shape and would have weapons, ammo, radios, food bins and personal effects.

  • @txgunguy2766
    @txgunguy2766 2 роки тому +2

    As a matter of clarification, the NAZI party was simply the political party that was ruled Germany in the 30s and early 40s and not all germans at that time were members. The Wehrmacht was the German national army and NAZI party membership was not required. On the other hand, the Waffen SS did require membership as it was essentially the military arm of the NAZI party. To illustrate the difference I suggest looking up the battle for Castle Itter in which Wehrmacht soldiers actually fought alongside US army soldiers AGAINST Waffen SS troops.

    It's a first aid kit. The buttons are used to anchor stitches in very torn tissue. 'Warmacht' means "War Maker' or Soldier/Army/Military. It's not Nazi, Warmacht sometimes referred to the regular Army command like our DoD or the UK's MoD. If it were Nazi, it would have a schwaztika, dual lightening bolts or a deaths head, but it doesn't.

    • @bikesnblades6737
      @bikesnblades6737 2 роки тому +2

      I would not translate Wehrmacht as "war maker". It is much more akin to "armed forces", or as a word by word translation, "weapon force" where "Wehr" is an old word for "Waffe" (arms/weapon) and "Macht" means "force" and not "to do something". It was used to refer to the overall armed forces. Part of this can still be found in todays overall name for germany´s armed forces, which are called "Bundeswehr", which basically translates to arms/forces of the republic.
      I agree though, that´s probably just a soldier´s or officer´s medical kit. Not everyone in that army was a dedicated Nazi. The real assholes sure did like their symbols and i´d bet my ass most were never seen on any frontline.

    I'm on the fence about this one. If it was buried that long or even a short time it would show it. The contents look old but the hinge not giving way causes some doubt. The kit was packed right, not as tight as I pack a PSK but tight with no room for drugs like pain meds and antibiotics. And the bandaging was to minimal for a wound that requires a blood stopper. That said it was very interesting and a great review. Thanks

    Gotta say this channel is really upping its game. And I wish people would quit mentioning “Steve” in the comments. Dude barely uploads, so forget him already….

      Im English and the Nazi's bombed our area back into the stone age and I really don't understand your comment. The Nazi's did awful things to everyone and we all stood shoulder to shoulder. I think your comment is a bit naive though ✌️

    i like to find the old morphine capsules!! YUMMY!!

  • @jpmtlhead39
    @jpmtlhead39 2 роки тому

    Its missing the morphine. It was a must, in any countries medical kit during WW2, Less the Japonese and Russian kits.
    Ps :the Japonese even didint used any medical kit, because their Job, was to fight and die for the Emperor.
    If you were wounded, or you kept fighting with what was available, or in the case you were badly injured,just pick up a grenade and expect for an enemie soldier to come close enough, for you take him with you.
    The Russians, well they were Expendables, why waste medical supplies on a wounded Men, Who by the way probably would be considered a coward, and shot on the spot.

    Why do you think this is for "Officers" and why Wehrmacht ????
    I can´t belive !!!!
    At that time you can buy this in a pharmacy, for traveling and so on.
    This is a nice thing but not Wehrmacht issued !!!

    The wehrmacht was the regular army. Air forces were the luftwaffe. The navy would be the kriegs marine. The buttons are for the underwear flap. The valerian root tincture is used for sleep. Very nasty tasting stuff for sure. But it worked then and works to this day. The anti depressant valium originally came from valerian root. The clay will help form a plug for a bullet wound. And the salve will help stop the bleeding. This kit would not have been military issue but could be bought and carried by any soldier of the reich. There were also medical kits made by civilian volunteers and those were given to teh soldiers by the german red cross. They would not have had morphine but would have the concentrated asperin powder. NOT for use to numb a bleeding wound though.

      Wehrmacht was a general term for all branches. The Army was the Heer. Don't chime in like you know shit if you dont.
