My daughter was part of this series, and it was a wonderful experience. The end product is an amazing documentary, and feel blessed to have been part of this.
I think its very interesting that at two weeks old a baby can only see light and shadows to help with the stimuli. I never knew that babies couldn't see that well when they were born. It now explains why when i see newborns their eyes are always wondering. They are trying to make sense of where they are. I also thought it was interesting how the baby looked at the picture that had the features of the human face from contrasts of the light and dark parts of the face. I liked this video.
When my daughter was born she only wanted to be held from daddy he held her first he has a very deep voice and I do believe she recognized his voice when she was born she stopped crying rate when she came out
Where does creativity come from for people? Where does the ability to make movies about studying people and the animal kingdom come from? That would be a very interesting study to conduct.
I wonder what would happen if you wear a featureless mask every time you interact with the baby for their first year of life... Essentially what would happen if the baby never sees a face for their first year.
Idk much about any of this so take this with a grain of salt, but I feel like they would probably develop face blindness? I say this because I know the first few months/year of life are VITAL to human development and I feel like I’ve heard some stuff about this before? Idk lol like I said, I’m in no way an expert on any of this This isn’t quite the same thing, but I was born with moderate-severe hearing loss and despite getting hearing aids at 3 months old and wearing them as much as possible, as well as having a big family that was always talking to and around me, I still had to take speech therapy until I was in kindergarten. That’s like 5 years of speech therapy lol.
and he/she looked straitght into the space of the room, and he/she look straight into his/her bottle while eating. Babies are in a whole new world and everything around them is as fascinating because they've never got the chance to see before. All that light is awesome and interesting for their little brains trying to understand. Your eyes were simply the shadowy spot of your face to the baby (that probably isn't a baby anymore...) you're talking about's perspective. He/she was trying to figure out what those weirdly shaped holes of light were on the top of that beige/brown thing holding him/her.

It was cool of these parents to let them put cameras in their kids eyes so we can see what they're seeing.

I'm sorry _baby human,_ that you can't see properly yet
so this was posted 12 years ago.. that means those babies are almost teenagers already
Some of these studies, such as testing toddlers/preschoolers ability to reason, are much older than they were posted, so the kids could be adults now.
14yr olds now
Background music in the beginning sounds like something from 90s. They are probably 30 or more years old now.

She also knew his smell she would love when I had dads sweat shirt on around while he was at work it was the way I could get her to calm down

All these babies are able to drive now.
Who would let a 13 yr old drive a car?
So a few of us got this recommended randomly?

Faces are important as predators may eat their faces.
This makes me happy... for some reason.
