We went through the same life apart of becoming super star , exactly the same year the same war but different continent than survived and move to england as a refugee than settle in sheffeild city i start finding a club to play for than sheffeild boys gave me the chance and i impressed them with my gifted talent skills so they used to call me the whizzard kid than the unexpected happen to me which was my family decided to move to liverpool which ended my bright future and shuttered my dream the rest is memory in me , so sad life is full of pain and difficulties , modric what a journey man 🙏🙏
As someone who is interested in the Balkans and also likes watching football, I never new that the war had effected Modric like this. Anyways he really is a great player.
He's the hardest worker in the field for me. He was everywhere in the Russia world cup. The defense the mid the forward. Like Roberto Carlos he was all-rounder. And definitely deserved to win the cup that year but fell short because France was way powerful. I just hope people don't forget his contribution in the football world. You don't need to compare. They play at different positions. Both are best in their respective position. Messi is best forward and modrić is best midfielder. Scoring is not his job.
His grandfather was killed by serbs during the serbian agression on Croatia , and he still don't hate anybody. But he is fully aware of his Croatian pride and dignity. And he absolutely deserve everything that he gets. Luka is one great guy.
My dad actually served in one of the Yugoslav wars in 1998 he was a part of the UCk a.k.a. the Kosovo liberation army Before that he was like Modrić he was a professional footballer playing in the first Kosovo league but he was forced in early retirement when he joined the war when the war had an attached fled the country and traveled along the world and told him I ended up in America met my mother
