Do you think the iPhone camera is as close peak as it'll ever be? Seems like we might have maxed out - or getting close to!
There doesn't seem to be much more the software can improve default modes with the current lens setup.
In most scenarios, they look pretty close to a real camera (especially one that isnt a DSLR over 1000) but smartphone images still fall apart when viewed at 100% resolution.
I don’t think so. I have a DSLR and the quality is still better. It’s hard to say why but it just is. The photos just look more “real,” for a lack of a better term.
@Allbr3x it's probably because real lenses are still better than automated software that touches up an image to emulate a real camera.
Still it's crazy that it has gotten this close.

Hugely informative. Confirming what many thought. Year to year upgrades are minimal especially in good lighting. It’s when you compare 2-3 years and more you see the difference and most hold into £1000 phones for a few years anyway. Keep up the great work!

This year's "upgrade" is even more minimal because maybe for the first time, all three cameras' hardware remain exactly the same for the Pros. They only replace the 3x with 5x on 15 Pro Max.
Pity that much of the camera improvements of the 15 over the 14 are simply software related. The hardware is identical sans for the 5X over the 3X Telephoto lens on the Max. There is no reason for Apple to hold-back these 'enhancements' from 14 users. I bought the 15 Max and miss the 3X lens, but prefer the 5X. It would be great for apple to go for a four lens module moving forward (ultra-wide, wide, 3X and 5X). Looks like incremental updates are in order with Apple borrowing from Canon's cripple hammer playbook. I fully expect Thunderbolt on the 16 or 17 etc. etc.
I definitely wish they’d had a 4-module system too
They are saying s24 ultra is moving from ultra wide-wide-3×-10× to ultra wide-wide- 3×-5×

14 pro photos looks too sharp but i like gold one.
13 pro photos i like blue veey much and photos seems good too, but isnt it too old qt this point?

hi this is important i consister of buying 15 pro and my question is about battery. How long it can shoot with apple prores FHD 60fps before it die ?

Also try and exporting your video in the more modern aspect ratio cas when you pinch in to fill yo screen you just lose so much
can you please do these vs regular 15? or at least 14 pro vs regular 15. im mostly interested in how they differ with video, if you can pleaaase do portrait video comparisons so it's easier to see side by side
also how are you switching lenses on the 14 pro while you're filming? other reviews said only the 15 allows it

Thank you for the feedback about the iPhone 15 and comparisons about portrait. The reason I don’t always do portrait comparisons is the resolution in a landscape video gets really tiny and it’s even harder to see any differences. I will try and work it out though :)

15 is a tad softer which I prefer I have 14 tho. I do see the 15 leaning toward green like you pointed out

Nice video, mate. I hardly see any difference. The problem is, the 14 Pro is actually more expensive here in Hungary. I'd get it, especially that there are no 15 pros available but for more money, no way.

@AurimasPl Well money is subjective to each person haha. But overall I’d say it’s worth it for the newer version- but not just for the camera. I’d say buying a used 14 pro could also be a good option

@@ItsTomRich I've seen a lot comparisons, and this softness on iPhone15 plays a bad role when it comes to selfies/videos from the front camera or to photos/videos from the main in low light, and the picture has way less details then from 14pro. Do you think the apple can improve this with an update?

@@ItsTomRich - Indeed we are, happened to Digital Cameras, TVs, PCs etc. We can hang-on to this tech longer before upgrading as consumers.

Not true, some of the hardware is the same but Apple are stating better camera statistics on almost every lens, such as better OIS resulting in sharper more accurate photos/videos. Therefore comparisons like this are useful because people can see that there aren't that many differences and it might save people money
@@ItsTomRich Difference they make is almost non existent, it is too small to be called new generation phone, it is software update-like upgrade. They rly needed to add fast charging, and at least to improve either senzor size or mp count on ultra wide and zoom lens

In my opinion the iPhone every single year becomes more and more like th Nokia phone nothing so special, and nothing encouraging to get it every year the battery not impressive the screen isn't the perfect one compared to other phones and many more, for example, I'm an iPhone user 14 pro Max but I'm testing a lot of others mobile phone brands , and they are just perfect even in the camera that always people say that the iPhone is the best I'm not seeing this to much , s23 ultra very capable camera system, Huawei technologies are becoming more and more impressive, Google pixel, oppo , and many more , so for me I'm thinking about purchasing the new Google pixel 8 Pro

All phones are poor quality when zooming with your finger after taking a photo. Can't read the font etc. When you zoom in with your finger after taking a photo, the photos are blurry!!!! Bye bye iphones
