man, the one at 5:00 feels like a credits scene from an emotional game where they're terminally ill, they've done all the things they wanted to do before passing away, and sounds like they achieved freedom after they passed away.
How very beautiful!.... I want to "see" this music in a deep dream, wake, and feel I've been on a celestial adventure where hearts spoke inducing that "conscientious feeling of being in love".....
Never would I have thought that I'd see a man play a sick solo on an Octopus xD He did a fantastic job playing that lil guy Very entertaining video, great job as always :3

Wow, that last bit was beautiful. The different textures and layers…it sounded like floating in ocean of light with little creatures swimming happily by.
My grandma played harp (and organ) for her small rural Wisconsin church for 40+ years. My grandpa was the minister. He is no longer with us, but she is. I need to get some recordings of her playing her favorite songs and hymns and run them through my modular synth. Thank you so much for sharing and demonstrating. Even just through clouds (which I have) would make something I think she would really like.
Jeez, Emily. You can play my emotions the same as you play the harp with the sounds you create on that thing. Music in general hits me right in the feels quite frequently, but that harp really goes straight to my SOUL!!! Thank you guys for being so awesome, always brighten up my day
I think half the ambient modular synth players get into modular for clouds alone. ♥️ Lovely patches, and great use of your harp as a CV controller! It makes me want to plug my electric cello directly into VCV Rack again! Some day I'll be able to afford taking the dive into physical modular, but for now I'll live vicariously through your exploration!
100%. Started with clouds and came full circle back to just have the Grone module which has clouds. Running my upright bass through my modular system was fun.
@@patrickbrogan8770 yea! I don't remember exactly the process, but the standard "Audio" module has inputs as well as outputs, so you can choose your audio interface input as an input into the VCV system on a different Audio module than you're using to get sound out of VCV Rack (hope that explanation makes sense!). Then your instrument is able to be used as a sound source, CV source (likely playing with some amplification, depending on voltages - I haven't done that much with it), and a great source for gate triggers and envelope followers. Also, getting to use VCV as a massive FX rack is handy too. Depending on your setup, you'll encounter lag, which can be problematic, but I am pretty sure there are ways within VCV Rack to address that as well, just haven't messed with it too much.
Emily, once again some very inspiring sounds from your harp! Thanks for incorporating our modules, and we're stoked you are enjoying Injectr so much. :) Cheers!
The octupus thinks it needs our help, but does it realize how much it's helping us? Hi, I'm Noyd, and today we these are seriously some of my favorite sounds you've ever gotten, especially that Mimeophon patch with the forward/reverse; I think modular's really great for people who are maybe burnt out on even thinking about pedals because you can choose just small functions of a few modules and get something new and exciting out of it that's not just "turn knob on the scronkblonkaskonk and it shmoooooves". I really like your setup, and I like Mod-Master Frederick; he really goes with the room. (Thank you Frederick, you're a G) am I going to be on VCVrack the rest of the day? maybe
Never in my life did I think I would see an octopus solo The modular world is crazy and you can combine it with regular pedals too 🤯🤯 can’t wait to see what you do with modular next!
This was seriously one of your coolest videos, which is saying a lot! Also, I'm glad you had the Boredbrain input device on there! I've been looking for an input module for my guitar that tracks well!!
*Sick Octopus Solo* @2:00 🤘🐙💖✨This video was awesome! When Fredericks around you know its gonna be Epic! And thanks for explaining things in a way that someone like me (who knows diddly squat about synths) can understand 🫡 Russ & Em FTW❤️
Hey Emily Hopkins and Russ and Fredrick! Your vids are a great way to focus on something beautiful until my medication kicks in! Peaceful and productive day to all! Ride ride ride!
This is exactly what I asked for that one live stream where you took suggestions. It would have happened anyway but it makes me happy. You are electro acoustic harp Santa Claus 😊
That triggering effect in combination with the effects from the other layer, sounds really cool in both a futuristic and relaxing way. Really cool stuff.
🐙 I am losing my mind over the Octopus!!!! 🤯 This video has ALL the sauuuuuuce Emily!!! 😁 Loved seeing the process of putting your harp through a modular set up and WOW what an outcome, sounds absolutely friggin EPIC!! 🙌🐀
Omg ,if I was making an album I would have you produce it and play on it like I have been saying you are making colorful notes on a colorful soundscape ,even grouchy uncle would approve 🤣🤣🤣❤️love ya
The patch sounds great! And by using the bass strings to affect how the mod synth modifies the sound is very clever. Nice job, Frederick! And as always, Emily plays delightful music no matter how you choose to mod it!
Great sounds and music, nice to see modular explored from different input sources. Nice to see that journey unravel, looking forward to seeing where you take things.
💙 Lovely that you are having FUN creating new magical sounds! There ARE musical therapist (all kinds) who DO go round providing "sound healings" for folk who just lay back & relax. 😁
The "help me" sample immediately made me think of NIN's "Closer" - an association supported by the synth noodling - so, hereby requesting a NIN cover the next time you cross paths with a modular setup.
This whole video was such a vibe! Every single video amazes me still at what you can do with your harp and effects! And you're always entertaining with balancing comedy and more serious/informative stuff. Just excited for all that's yet to come as your already broad talent just grows! Now you've inspired me to look into modular synth for sax... :D
A collaboration with you and Tycho or Washed out would be heaven. Hell you can play with Sepultura and it would sound good. Keep the good vibes coming.
Omg about the minute 5:00 sound so post rocky, like tortoise, sigur ros or something, so dreamy too, i want that sound in a song so bad. Thnks 4 this video
This is delightful and the harp sounds awesome working with modular. I already have a few synths and I love the idea of having modular gear but I'm scared to start collecting it because I'd probably end up bankrupt. I have a Behringer Neutron and a Moog Mavis, and I've stopped there for the time being - no Eurorack! But I consider myself a modular nut by association. I absolutely love the modular synth community, it's so friendly and welcoming... and a little bonkers, in a good way. Love the octopus controller :)
You cannot buy the Clouds module anymore (only used!!!), because Mutable Instruments STOPPED THEIR PRODUCTION.
