I fell in love with Wicked AFTER seeing the film, and I can’t believe I was sleeping on a masterpiece all these years. The original broadway soundtrack is fantastic, as is the new spin they’ve done for the movie. You OG fans are strong for waiting as long as you did for a film. I’m so glad they did you proud!
The fact that John Powell has done the score for this movie...I've said it before and I'll say it again: we are in for an auditory treat!!! Also, the fact that all of these sets (plus the train and the 9 MILLION TULIPS) were NOT CGI?? It's so clear that the whole of the Wicked movie cast and crew cares about this movie and us (the Wicked fans)!!!
The movie score gonna be Great then, since he also did How To Train Your Dragon. I really love that the sets were real and not cgi. Mad Respect to them!!
It’s touching to see how emotional everyone in this was about this movie. I saw the movie last week and I was blown away. I hope everyone in this loved it as much as I did.
I love videos like these!! The way people react is just enjoyable. "Glinda Rejected" "Mean Girl" I love those reactions. And even the cast of wicked is crying. I sure hope this movie is going to be so so good. please PLEASE don't let us down and be one hell of a movie. Make everyone proud with this gem of a story!!
I fell in love with Wicked AFTER seeing the films and just can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on a masterpiece for so long. I’ve been geeking out over this film since I saw it, and I just can’t imagine the excitement Broadway fans must feel. The “theater kids” everyone makes fun of are actually the people keeping the performing arts alive on stage and on screen. Y’all deserve more films like this!
This movie will be the highlight of my next two years. This story is just so intertwined with my life for as long as I could remember and I just can’t believe it’s here 🥰🥰🥰
Yes! I love knowing that other people like you have such a close relationship with this story. Every time I watch the trailer I can’t believe what we are about to get to finally witness this and be apart of.
I just watched the wicked movie and it is phenomenal and I love it so much, I will always cherish the wonderful memories forever, people please watch this movie thank you
From the amount of times Ive reacted to this Trailer and seen everyone! That's amazing everyone got included in this! I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT IM CRYING 😭 😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤ I should've personally reacted 😂 I've waited my whole life for this ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Everyone was so excited and happy and it’s clear this means so much to everyone!! I don’t think I’m gonna be ready for the energy when people go to the theatres to see this! I’m ready for a tangible feeling of hope and excitement even though I literally live in a small town with only one movie cinema, haha
I cry every time I see the trailers because it is such an unfair story. Elphaba should have been celebrated as a hero but was made into a villain to distract people from the real monster who used her to justify all sorts of bad things being done in the name of protecting people.
If anything, I would say make sure to see the 1939 MGM movie and/or the original L. Frank Baum book. You might be able to get both through Your Local Library for free.
@@nolhan133 it was not about her reaction to the teaser. I couldn't watch it because I can't bare to see her face, it triggers me, viscerally. She denied massive slaughter, torture, r@pe (that was filmed and broadcast by its perpetrators, and some of my friends' families and friends were victims of), and then mocked people calling her out and trying to tell her about it (not privately, in a story showcasing their pleads!). I still remember the shock and terrible visceral feeling seeing that. I checked for days later, there was never an apology. And she never responded to my message about it (even though she clearly did see messages). When one demonizes a group of people so much, sees them as a Wicked Power, they can get to a point where treating them with such cruely can be seen as virtuous. That is exactly what Wicked shows. That is being a witch hunter. I'm sure there'd be whataboutism comments here, they'd just be making my point.
Well I didn't know, I'll have to look for it. I'm sorry for your friends and their families and you. I actually did feel through her videos that she was kind of... "unbearable"
@@nolhan133 thank you. What I saw was in Instagram stories, I stopped following her so I don't know what's on her posts and what she keeps posting in stories these days. I used to follow her closely and watch all her videos, so it was really tough seeing the way she acted and I just couldn't bring myself to watch her ever again... So it was hard seeing her in this. I know it's not to support what she did, I doubt they know of it, but it's just personally triggering.
@@if3359 Your feelings are natural. I won’t follow her anymore too. I already hate her new content: whatching musical movies and being bitchy about every single detail, ruining the magic.
First, highly recommended viewing is the '70s version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers featuring a delightful Mr. Goldblum, Veronica Cartwright being the smartest person in the room, again, as well as Leonard Nimoy as an absolute douchebag begging to be hit in the face with a pie. It's available for free on Amazon freevee. Second, the Broadway musical is so superior to the book it's breathtaking. Do not let any bad taste in your mouth from reading the book interfere with your seeing this movie or the show if somebody ever takes pity on us and releases a pro shot to those of us out here in the cheap seats of America. Yes, I watched a bootleg of the Broadway show, but only because there was nothing else available. Take my money, people.
A lot of you are claiming you've been waiting 20 years for this, but you aren't old enough. Some of you are barely in your 20's. Might need to rephrase that.
This may be too late since they may have already completed all the editing, but I do hope they flesh out more fully the interactions, allusions, shout outs between the 1939 MGM wizard of Oz film and the Broadway show. In the Broadway show, they're coming from a position that everyone in the audience has seen the MGM version multiple times and is very familiar with it. There are a lot of in jokes, the whole thing is very meta and postmodern. That's fun, but for the Wicked film a fair chunk of the audience may well have never seen the MGM film and even fewer will have read the Oz books. In fact, that would make a great double feature, to start with the 1939 version (which is fairly short,) and then go right into Wicked.
Seeing as this is just the first act and there's a whole second movie next year for Act II, there is plenty of room for all of that. The show can take its proper pace rather than rush, the CGI can be shown off to its greatest effect, and things can be expanded on - there are even going to be new songs in there!
100 years from now, our descendants will be watching this just like we watch Judy Garland in her red slippers. THEY MADE HISTORY!!!!!!
Holy socks. I just realized that last shot is Mary Kate Morrissey, aka. Also Elphaba. AWESOME!!!!!
One of them is also Ryan McCartan, AKA Also Fiyero
