yes he made it! i think there won't be no one like him in the future, but "i have a dream" to play on gigs like him one day ^^! but there are so less possibilities were you can play such music...
Replying a year later, nevertheless... Not certain but think it's sampled from Arvo Part's ''Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten''. If not it sounds very similar. I want that track though, is it really still an unreleased Squarepusher track?
The beginning of this Set is one his own creations...unsure,maybe unreleased? At 3:40 he mixes in a tune by 'Enforcer' called 'Dam tuff' :) though highly modified version...!
hi, i cut this part of his dj set, from the live performance. I can send it to you. This song has never been released on ANY aphex cd. Its a mix of some sort, from somebody else....
...I for one had to think about this. Personally I couldn't pull of just going to a gig an stare at my laptop. It just wouldn't work. it would just look stupid... but of course I think it is as stupid to have to do a make-believe show.
It's interesting how phlegmatic his performance is. Richard D James probably does it because he sees no point in tryin to make-believe a lively performance. He can pull it off easily because he's so popular. Lesser known musicians can't really pull it off with as much dignity. Although they kinda should have the equivalent chance of doing it like this since performing computer music often is nothing much else than staring at your laptop unless you deliberately try to make it something different.
I love this music
My gooood! he is breaking the place apart and owning up the place so hard, man Aphex is a living legend thats for sure...
This is sweetnessssss
Richard truly is the best!! :D
Second track is "Here come the drums" by Doc Scott to anyone who's interested. Insert bone of contention here>>>>>(He kicks Mozarts Arse!!!!).
Thanks for posting this....
He could bring this out 10 years late and it still wouldn't sound dated.

I would do /anything/ to see him live.

sounds like a bunch of random space ships taking off as they are fleeing from destruction of a city in the clouds
His AFX remix of "Run the Place Red" uses the amen all the way through. Quite fast, too.

He kills you if you call him a DJ.

mmm i don't think so. it's not really his style of making music. could be an older acid techno track or something like that. i like the melody!
