I think I am starting to come to terms with the fact that this is the best quality version of this song I will ever here, after two and a half years of hoping. What I would give to hear a studio version of this song, seriously.
@@Andrew-lq9ri it really did. I went to the album preview party in London when Syro was about to drop and I was genuinely quite emotional when this came on lol
This is honestly amazing. I think Richard really doesn't care what he makes sometimes. This is really some of his best. I wonder how much music he has created (and forgotten about) that is truly amazing that no one will ever hear.
yeah, surely it will be!!!! Damn, this is going to be the best Aphex album ever!, because I absolutely love the most recent stuff he has been doing i.e. all the unreleased tracks plus the stuff he did as the Tuss!!! :-) (The lead synth at the 4:15min mark of this song reminds me of the lead synth at the end (4:10ish min mark) of The tuss' song Alspacka btw hehe, sounds like the same instrument (thinking synton fenix?))
ONLY Aphex can give me goosebumps when he does that beautiful stuff with keys @ 4:08 - 4:13, 4:23 - 4:29, 4:39 - and so on and so forth, you get the idea. Legend.
It still baffles me think he somehow has only played this track live once. Like any of the post-Syro track lists I don't think I ever saw him play this again and yet to AFX fans we regard this as one of - if not - THE best piece of music he ever produced.
Aphex Twin is our modern day Mozart. I really don't care how long he takes between releases, he crafts gold from the sinewaves, an achemist as it were.
I love this man so much.... for all of his creations and the pathways he's opened for so many artistic minds. He's been creating music the way he wants to for years. Whenever all other musical genres becomes boring, I can easliy pop in "I Care Because You Do", or "Selected Ambient Works 1 or 2", or anything he's done, and it's brand new to the ears and mind! Long Live Richard!
I'm so very happy to hear this side of him again - this atmosphere, and the progression here harkens back to the richard d. james album in all the right ways to my ears, albeit with a really beautiful sort of mid-note bend that is right out of windowlicker. i would be so happy to hear 10 albums full of this sound. It really is a rare thing to bring this kind of feeling through electronic music and not seem 'quaint' or outright boring.
Woah last comment was 5 years ago. Still like this version even tho the album version is out. The verb gives it a different quality. Also i think it's a different version of the track to begin with.
I totally can't wait for a new release from him. i've been listening to The Tuss tracks non stop and everytime I go looking for any possible "news" it brings me back to this track.
The Tuss counts and is insanely good. But still I know what you mean, a new album will be truly amazing, especially if it's in the same vain as this track!!!!!! That'll be the best album ever. It's like the Tuss mixed with selected ambient works mixed with pop & modern day classical. I love it how everyone in the crowd is just standing there in awe lol :-)
Do want. This is such a lush, lovely, complex, relaxing, thought provoking track. If there is such a thing as "IDM", this is it. Fusing the best elements of ambient techno, breakbeat and acid, this is truely the kinda track that only the best could make. It may not be RDJ, but it probably is. Whoever's it is, it's lush and I want the full original recording so I can listen to it all day long.
Wow. To be honest, this didnt impress me on first listen, but after a while it really sunk in. I cant stop listening to it, its just...amazing. The wait for a new Rich album will be worth it.
@inkblotisaband precisely right about the key change. i can explain what is happening, but not really why it sounds good. The string sample, what sounds like a psaltery, has an off note. the second note you hear should be a half step higher to stay within the rest of the notes diatonically. in this case, lydian should be the mode we hear, but the second note of the sequence makes it ionian, the normal major scale, which previously sat a fourth below the tonic of the string sample. i'm not a nerd
@kneecapped10 its great to listen to, that's why. Plus if i could i'd bet you a million dollars that nobody was moving to mozart's performances in 1700s. Yet billions still love mozart's music.
4 years before Syro was released. That's a lucky crowd.
I think I am starting to come to terms with the fact that this is the best quality version of this song I will ever here, after two and a half years of hoping. What I would give to hear a studio version of this song, seriously.
lol your wish eventually came true

@@rephl3xdamn I can imagine man would love to see him again , he was incredible when I saw him in 2017
This is the greatest composition made by mankind for eternity, this is the highest music can get.
:(
and were about to get a mastered version of it in its full length 10.31. :DD
Still come back to this. We finally got it in Syro. But I still come back to this because it’s home
🙏🏻👊🏻
Those synths, that beat... afx is one of a kind, there is NO ONE who comes close to hin.
SYRO 2014 BELIEVE

the cutting edge of electronic music
im so happy right now
favourite song of all time, better be on syro!!!

the audio quality of this is AMAZING.
thank you thank you thank you thank you
AWESOMEEE
vocal samples at 1min 40sec are stunning.
The pittar patter of french speakers in the background is actually lovely!
I like this
is it just me.. or is the this possibly the most incredible aphex tracks ever created?
it's amazing, you can see how transifxed the people in the front are.
it feels like life
we should all pay this guy to go to all the aphex twin concerts and film this stuf.. its the only way..
It still baffles me think he somehow has only played this track live once. Like any of the post-Syro track lists I don't think I ever saw him play this again and yet to AFX fans we regard this as one of - if not - THE best piece of music he ever produced.
I've heard this so many times and still feel like it can't be beat
quite possibly the most beautiful thing i have ever seen or heard.
One of his best ever. The moment the video cuts out is agony.
Aphex Twin is our modern day Mozart. I really don't care how long he takes between releases, he crafts gold from the sinewaves, an achemist as it were.
the drumless section at 3:14 is the most brilliant shit in the world
Wow, look at the crowd. If that isn't undivided attention, I don't know what is. This stuff is outstanding. Here's hoping for a new Aphex album.
almost 20 years and still no one does it quite like Aphex.
its amazing how one track can put everyone into a trance

This is already one of my favorite songs ever... if he doesn't release this soon, I'm gonna freak out :D
I dont know, everytime I listen to some ambient, melody infused tune by Aphex Twin he manages to touch me emotionally. He's so good at it.
richard literally has a magical bottomless pit full of the best melodies you never even knew you wanted to hear
my heart races everytime i listen to this.
im speechless what a masterpiece
yeah this is prob my fave Aphex track too. So damn good! I can only imagine if he ever releases a new album what it'll sound like!!!!

merci pour la qualité sonore et visuelle excellente de cette vidéo

OMFG!!! ITS SOUNDS LIKE ANALORD SERIES + THE TUSS STYLE... ONE OF THE MOST COMPLEX TRACKS OF AFX.
These are brand new songs
THANK GOD. YES.
I can't believe you recorded this sound at the gig...
pas mal la qualité sonore :) j'étais tout devant et j'ai aussi filmé le concert !
These are the sites, these are the sounds, let the music play on and vibes ring true.
He's just getting better and better.

This new stuff is pure bliss. Can't wait for it to get released! Thanks for the upload!

Thank you!!! I can't wait to hear some new aphex its been a minute!!!

Kind of reminds me of how I felt when I heard Orbitals Halcyon and On and On for the first time. Wow. Really hope this is released soon.
Vocal samples at 1min 40sec are stunning.
So fucking awesome!!1111 Thank u Dude. The quality of the vid is amazing!

I NEED this song on vinyl!!!!
Sounds like a return to form to me - great stuff.
I just can't get over this clip
that is not to say it doesn't do more, but has the parts of his signature that i really have been missing lately.
Spectacular live audio quality.
And there were some who thought he had lost his talent.
Would love another release by Richard! :-)
absolutely mindblowing
This is fantastic and upsetting at the same time......I just want to hear it in all its digitally compressed glory is that so much to ask??
cheers mate absolutely stunning
the sound of distorted claps is awsome
wow, that last 25 seconds is fantastic.
Masterpiece
Like opening a refreshing can of Blue Calx at 4.08
He is a genius. I hope we get a new album soon....
utterly amazing
Beautiful! Acid!
Can't wait for some new Aphex Twin!!!!

Amazing! as expected!

MAGNUM OVIS
A CULMINATION OF EVERYTHING HE'S DONE.
Yeah please man !
this is so beautiful *sigh* :-)...

@PDzero thanks for doing that :)
in the minute 3.00 sounds a little more influence of stockhausen and cage stuff, impressive
