I'm deeply appreciative & thankful to this Shelter's Animal Control Officers (ACO) who made the correct assessment & decision by refusing to take into account of Felix's former family's horrible lies. Felix's former family is despicable b/c of their lies they told the ACO just to ensure that they're successful in getting rid of Felix and they didn't even care that their terrible vicious lies could potentially be Felix's end of life. For Felix being only 5 months old, I love his bravery, calmness, friendliness & sweetness. After watching Felix's well-behaved mannerism, I have this strong inkling feeling as well as have faith that Felix will soon be adopted by his forever family, who'll love, spoil & cherish him, as he deserves it. I love Felix! I wish all the very best to beautiful sweet, Felix! ❤🐶🐾🐕❤
Thank you, Rocky, for all your effort and hard work to save the many dogs and cats that got adopted. Each and every one is God's beautiful creation. I'm sure He is pleased with all you do!
How on earth can anyone say a 5mth old puppy is "vicious" ? What an absolute load of BS!! Felix doesn't have a vicious bone in his body, he's just a scared little baby who got let down by the people he relied on to take care of him. I really do wish I could take him and bring him back to the UK 🇬🇧. 😢😢😢
I’m not a dog expert, but he’s so cute!! He is not a vicious dog. He wasn’t taken good care of and he’s really sad. I think he’s going to be a great pet for someone❣️
Very bad. He is very fearful and has not been socialized properly. He is a diamond in the rough! With the proper training he can regain his confidence and trust in humans. Bless him! ♥️♥️🐕🐕🐕🙏🙏🕊️🕊️♥️♥️
That's what I saw, if he was any of what they said it was due to fear. Hope he gets the best hooman that knows how to give him the respect and love he so deserves.
Even if you don't reach the goal of emptying the shelter, you still found SO MANY animals good loving homes. That's not nothing. And while goals can be important, living your values is what is most important. No one doubts for a minute that you are living your values. You got this Rocky. You are not an imposter. You have every right to be doing exactly what you're doing. And we've got you too..
We are so happy for the dogs that are adopted. Our Frankie, whom we adopted last Wednesday is putting on weight. He is a quiet hound with large pup feet. Peace to all who love animals.
When he looked up into your face with that look of. “I want to trust you, but….!” I burst into tears! I love the work you do, especially when you retake a broken animal and bring them back To happiness! ✝️God Bless you and all of those who help perform these miracles!
The "song of his people" great line! The heterochromia is very common in huskies too, the ears, tail and masking are also indicators. Not 100%, but 50-75% husky with a good chunk of German Shepherd.
I have a full husky and a husky/shepard. They are both the biggest drama kings you will ever hear when they are getting groomed. My vet won't let me take them there anymore because they scare the other dog people with the "they are killing me" noise.
That sweetie is not aggressive, he is scared. So many people do not understand. He has the most beautiful eyes truly amazing. Felix has such a big heart.
When Rocky had to put a hand up on the gate, and the wee lad cowered back, watching the hand, my thought was "oh, they were hitting him". I may be wrong, but he was afraid, poor lad. It's awful; Sheps and huskies are so smart and so loyal, and so need a pack to lead them. I hope someone terrific takes him.
@@michellestr8998 a lot of people adopt high energy dogs because they r pretty and don’t know how to train them, then get angry with them and yell and hit. That’s what makes a scared and nervous dog.
Hi Rocky. In 2002 I adopted a dog off the street in rural Ethiopia. He was in bad shape with a fractured pelvis and leg. He was severely malnourished and tick/flea infested. I brought him back to North America with me (Canada). Our first weeks together were challenging as he wasn't accustomed to being inside, but he happily slept on the bed beside me. With love and care he turned from a scraggly dog into a beautiful pup, whose face you can see by my name. I had him for 13 wonderful years. I encourage anyone to rescue a dog. The love you receive in return will totally enrich your life.
Rocky - Thank you for being so honest. You tell us how this experience makes you feel and I feel exactly the same with you. You're not afraid to show us your fears, concerns, your sadness, You are an amazing human being nd I am SO glad that there are people like you and Kelly out there being champions for these dogs. There is NOTHING better than a DOG!!!!!
I wonder if his owners disciplined him in a way that made him fearful and he growled or acted out of fear and so they labeled him as vicious. Glad he’ll be in a loving home soon. 🥰
I thought of that same thing that you just wrote about that the owners with mean to him and he just grew a little just fearful or you know not afraid of them
@@Nael-i6k you don’t have to live in that state. As long as the dog has the required immuno therapy, vaccines that the state pro claims and you have paid for the adoption I don’t see there being any problem with it. We live in Canada and we have rescued dogs from the USA. Just make sure you have your visa and all of your identification and it’s probably best to drive down to get the dog. Don’t want to put them on a airplane because they can freeze or they can get dehydrated and die very easily.. there is a new airline that only transports dogs with their owners. They get served on silver dishes, crystal and they are treated like royalty. You should do research on this! Good Luck!
That was my thought too. He probably had enough of being treated a certain way and tried to defend himself the only way he knew how. Poor guy, he's so beautiful! His puppy dog eyes tell me everything I need to know about his temperament.
The owners just made excuses. He is so precious, I wonder how they treated him. Pls someone give him a loving family ❤god bless you baby. Thank you sir for working with all dogs
Over the years (I'm 75 now) all of my dogs/cats have been rescues or they made their way to my yard or even front door. Recently; to your point as I was taking out the trash, I saw movement in the dumpster. Some jerk (to put it nicely) had thrown two kittens in the dumpster. I was able to reach one & get her out but the other one got out a hole in the bottom. I tried to keep her alive with powdered kitten liquid but she was too weak & died 2 days later.
Me and my wife have a golden retriever and a silver lab and we both always say that the only people dogs can rely on is their owners they count on us to feed them love them support them play with them give them treats when I come home from off the road I’m a truck driver they see my Peterbilt Pull up in the driveway they go absolutely crazy before I can get out of my truck their already jumping in my truck and I just love every minute of their happiness I rotate them so they go on trips with me and lol don’t tell the wife I said this but they are so much better company then she is lol jk but like I said the only people that your animals rely upon to so them love comfort and give them love is you without us they have no one so damn it if you are going to get a dog or a cat it doesn’t matter what you decide to get you have better to take on that responsibility because when you get the animal that you want and your sorry azz decides that you don’t want him or her anymore and you replace them to a new home or a shelter you are just destroying their hearts and their confidence to live so if you are that lowlife piece of 💩 that only thinks of yourself please don’t go and get a dog cat bird snake fish man whatever it is that has a heart please don’t get it if you don’t love yourself
Years ago we got a dog from the shelter (Newfoundland mix). He was turned in as vicious. We found out that it was the son's dog. He went into the military and asked his parents take care of him. Due to his size, the parents were afraid of him. King was the sweetest dog. He was the best friend of our other dog. Our kids could lay against him. We never had any issues with him.
So sad. Happy ending, but so sad that those people let down King AND their son so horribly. I can only imagine what the son said. Being overwhelmed, or afraid of a big dog is one thing, but, like Rocky said, labeling him as "vicious" could have gotten him the hot-shot. He was lucky to find you.❤
He is not vicious... he is just a baby.... babies are never vicious they just need to be directed appropriately. Love you Felix baby.... You are an awesome baby boy.
You can see his eyes when they say "the dog" like he knows they're talking about him and he's been talked about by the family like a problem. I would adopt him if I wasn't both working and in school and never home. He's adorable!
I'd love to see him when he's full grown, he's going to be twice as gorgeous. I'd love to see the pictures of him. He's so big for 5 months he's going to be huge when he's full grown for sure. I truly hope he gets a family that will show him all the love and care he very much deserves.
My Pittie, Brady Gronkowski, is a happy and friendly dog unless Dad isn't being friendly. If he sense that I am not being welcoming to someone trespassing in my yard then he can get vicious, but that is a good time fot him to be vicious.
Most dogs just seem to love you hanging out with them...talking... just being there. I think it helps distract them from what's going on around them. They often fall asleep which is pretty cool.
Felix may have nipped or something just trying to play or show his puppy energy. Now he's afraid to be himself because it got him in "trouble" & he lost his family. He's a sweetheart who just needs some time, love & patience. What a handsome young man he is!
My current rescue dog, when surrendered to his foster, had this label put on him by his previous owner. He was a puppy that she kept all day in a crate in a shed, making the congenital deformity of his front legs worse. When I talked to his foster lady who took him in, she said he was a sweetie, and she took him over to her neighbors to test him with kids: he passed with flying colors. We have had him for a little more than 12 years now, and he's the most calm and sweet Scottie I've owned (out of four). I'm so glad his first owner did not turn him into the shelter or to animal control with this story about him being aggressive (she even said she thought he should be euthanized)--that might have been the end for him. Here's wishing Felix the most loving, doting family--he deserves it.
I adopted a 5 year old pit bull that was marked for bite and was going to be put down. I adopted him on the spot. What i found out was he was abused by the family that had him and he was just scared to death. Took a minute but 5 years later he was the biggest cuddle buddy loved my grand daughter to death and became the most gentle guy in the world. I had him for another 6 years and recently lost him to cancer. Dogs are not born vicious ppl make them vicious. I will probably save my next guy/gal eventually but my heart is so broken right now. I also like the older dogs bc puppies go first and these dogs just languish. Adopt don't buy.❤ ❤❤
Poor little Felix! It was the owners who were vicious with false reports and not caring for a five month old puppy!🤨 Felix is a beautiful boy who deserves a good home.❤️
That's my guess, too. His body language was entirely fear, not aggression. Any aggression happened because the people that owned him wouldn't respect his boundaries.
Rocky please make sure you're taking care of YOU. This has been a huge undertaking and I hope that if you can't get every single dog adopted in the short period of time you've given yourself, you have NOT failed. Give yourself the credit you absolutely deserve. You need to be rested in order to tackle this project. What you have accomplished so far is awe inspiring and we love you and your "team." 💜
Wow... Felix is clearly totally exhausted. RUNNING on FUMES as it were.... Nerves are raw!! But with Rocky it's safe to finally sleep... So tired that food isn't important.
I cannot say or properly express the depth of Love I have felt for my 'guys'. My first was Bandit and he taught me about Love and Forgiveness; then Buddy who taught me about caring for others; and finally Bruno who is teaching me about Love and Laughter, Dediction and Trust...... your 'Flip" video brought teas to MY eyes over my first two. To anyone who has never had a Dog realize that that is a dislexic spelling.... it really is "God":)
Why are people such a$$holes? If you don't want to take care of a dog, don't get one! Its very simple. He is beautiful, and he's certainly not viscious. Thank you Rocky for always putting great videos out, they always bring so much joy! Sending love from Ohio...💜💜💜💜
Facts!! I was ready to be homeless before I would just give up my dogs (and two parrots). These beautiful souls are not just disposable “things”….they are FAMILY!!
What a sweet boy. Shame on the ex-owners for defaming his character. The puppy room is an excellent idea that I didn't know about. Go Team Rocky, go Felix. Greetings from Germany.
Watched your heart-rending testimonial about your beloved flip and sure enough my tears flowed. Your devotion to this important work is noted my good man.
Felix was a joyous happy puppy. Until a human betrayed him and took away his confidence. He doesn’t trust humans because they hurt him. With the right person, this little guy will blossom into the amazing dog he was meant to be.
Going to hazard that he attacked his owners or their children because they'd cornered him or were antagonizing him in some way. He's a good pup, he just needs someone to be patient with him and let him have his space.
He reminds me of dogs who've been traumatized. There often was violence, either to him or in front of him. Possibly beaten for house accidents, makes them want to just hide cuz they don't understand why!
Aw! When he licked your finger! That was how I became 'Granny' to my rescue dog. 'Mummy' had to reliquish him and we sat on a bench talking (about my dog and her dog) and he licked me. She said he had never done that before, so I had to have him. After so many years, I still have him and we are growing old together. Walks on the common every day. Shorter and slower but oh, so lovely.
Tears rolling down, sorry you lost your dog-family member. Longer ago I lost mine (13+-old mixed Berner Sennenhund-mum/Golden Retriever-paps) and I am sad and tears running down my face when I am thinking of him and our adventures; took him from a family - when I first saw him in their garden as a nearly new born, visiting twice a week till he was 12 weeks old to take him with me; we visited for years his mum and some brothers/sisters who were adopted near bye) . Always having a bigger dog, I just felt in love with Felix - and I feel so sorry to live in Europe/Austria, but its too far away. Hope Felix will find a lovely family, where he is a beloved family member till his last day. I am sure Flip is proud of you, and your remarkable "work" (its joy)❣ Hugs from Sabine/Austria🇦🇹

I have a groomer next door to my business. They saved a basset hound from a bad situation. That dog (Max) lived under their dining table for a year. He came out to go potty and that was it. He was a wonderful dog. He recently passed away after 18 years. I miss him terribly. Give a dog the time and space it needs. Don’t take it personal.
I think he was shy and their kids probably stampeded him and it scared him into “acting vicious” in their minds. You have a great heart, Rocky. That clip of you talking bout your angel, Flip, made me cry too! Many blessings!❤

Seeing Felix in there with the other puppies is just so...satisfying. He definitely needs to play with his bros and sisters. You can see how he yearns for socialization.
He just wants affection. As soon as he got a hug from Mel you could just see him melt right into her. What a sweetie. He just needs patience and kindness and he will blossom. Won't take long, he already makes good eye contact. With reassurance and consistency he will make a wonderful companion.
There was no question from Felix's crooning during his grooming that this big puppy has a lot of Husky. It's great that Felix's gentleness is being developed as a puppy right now because he will get bigger. Thank you, Rocky for helping this baby.
Dogs are a reflection of their owners - what you put out is returned to you ten fold. That is the gift they give us and why what you do for these mistreated and often sad pups is so important - I felt your incredible love and so did Felix and Flip. Thank you.

@@rslone6474 my husky shepherd mix was such an energetic pup when she was young. I think someone who is not aware how high energy these dogs can be might think it’s too much for them to handle.
Same applies to a lot of breeds. Some people are just clueless sometimes! Anyone who wants to be a dog owner should do a lot of research before doing so.
Huskies or Shepsky’s are very intelligent dogs but require time and patience. I have a Shepsky and you have to keep them stimulated and they are very fast learners. Some people get a dog and forget puppies need to be trained!

This dog has extremely high potential with proper training. I am glad for the dog that it is rid of its former owners and is safe with you. We already have a German Shepherd who has helped many people as a therapy dog. His name is Atawhai = the one with a good heart 💙
Beautiful name 💙💙💙
Aww so kind ❤ God bless you, family & Atawhai 😊
That is such an unusual name but I love the names meaning. It's so great ❤️❤️
PISSES ME OFF! Like you said, saying it's a vicious dog is usually a death sentence. What trash people!
That family should be banned from animals. It’s infuriating I agree with you. Makes me sick how cruel they are.
Pobre creo que fué maltratado!!
Absolutely 💯% true.
I’ll never understand how so many people willingly abuse these babies… Hope karma catches everyone of em
Depends on how many owners he had,,, the abuser might not have been the one that turned them in, but the one before.
What you do for all others is in the remembrance of Flip...
HE WOULD BE SO PROUD!
Felix is vicious...VICIOUSLY CUTE!
Mel has such a beautiful, gentle, maternal way about her. Just what these pups need for what might be for many of them, their first bath experience. 💕
Indeed! She's great! Any shelter would be honoured to have her.
Maybe there should be a Love Mel tee. I’m such a fan!
@@karenlukas1222I would grab one of those! ❤
@@karenlukas1222Some kind of recognition for the beautiful, skilled Mel...a GoFundMe perhaps? If she had a school for groomers it would be fantastic!🌞
Ohhhhh. Picture of Rocky sitting down with Mel doing his hair
A 100+ animals rescued is a win in anyone's book and you've still got ample time to get your goal achieved
It us the person/people who cause this, teaching them and there children to be kind
Easy. They lied. I think he was abused.
Unfortunately I've seen owners that don't have a clue how to raise a dog. I've seen pets turn nuts because of bad grooming.
❤❤❤❤❤
it is so hard to realize people are so cruel
Felix is adorrrrable...I pray he has a new home with grateful hoomans.
I’m not a dog expert, but he’s so cute!! He is not a vicious dog. He wasn’t taken good care of and he’s really sad. I think he’s going to be a great pet for someone❣️
So happy Feix was moved to the puppy room and has others to play with. What a difference in his energy.
What a beautiful, sweet dog!
Felix is absolutely GORGEOUS❤❤❤
Even if you don't reach the goal of emptying the shelter, you still found SO MANY animals good loving homes. That's not nothing. And while goals can be important, living your values is what is most important. No one doubts for a minute that you are living your values.
You got this Rocky. You are not an imposter. You have every right to be doing exactly what you're doing. And we've got you too..
Wonderfully said. And good for all of us to remember. ❤
We are so happy for the dogs that are adopted. Our Frankie, whom we adopted last Wednesday is putting on weight. He is a quiet hound with large pup feet. Peace to all who love animals.

That dog was absolutely part husky... when Mel was drying him, he sang the song of his people!!!
😊
The "song of his people" great line!
The heterochromia is very common in huskies too, the ears, tail and masking are also indicators. Not 100%, but 50-75% husky with a good chunk of German Shepherd.
He looks like a Shepsky. I have one and he looks so much like my big boy. Very intelligent dogs with huge personalities that love to talk back! 😊
@@Arguewithyamamatrue, we had a German shepherd whom we called “Sassy” because she loved to talk back ! We had her 13 years! Best dog ever!
Scared can mean aggressive. Who knows what happened. I dont believe he was ever aggressive..
@@michellestr8998 a lot of people adopt high energy dogs because they r pretty and don’t know how to train them, then get angry with them and yell and hit. That’s what makes a scared and nervous dog.
@@MSham-b5h I can see that.
@@michellestr8998 No, any aggressive behavior from him likely was born out of fear. He was antagonized and lashed out.
Felix is so beautiful! He has soft, gentle eyes.
Aww thank you so much for adopting him. I'm from Somalia and there are many strays there I went to help in anyone way God wills
In general I think they're more well fed in my homeland
PS I can't see your profile pic (it says error)

What a wonderful story! Thank you for saving his life. May your precious memories of him never fade!! ❤️
Those kisses after being called by his new name and told he's a good boy... ❤️🩹🐾
I thought of that same thing that you just wrote about that the owners with mean to him and he just grew a little just fearful or you know not afraid of them
He is a very beautiful dog and if I live there I would go try to get him to but I don't live in that state
@@Nael-i6k you don’t have to live in that state. Good Luck!
This poor boy probably told a badly behaved human that he wasn't going to be abused. I'm happy he'll get a chance to be treated with loving kindness
My thought exactly.
That was my thought too. He probably had enough of being treated a certain way and tried to defend himself the only way he knew how. Poor guy, he's so beautiful! His puppy dog eyes tell me everything I need to know about his temperament.
@@melsie6718 Cesar Millan would agree. On the people, not the dog.
Did he get adopted?
What is l live in another state?
This very stunning dog deserves a much much better owner!!!!! I think the family made it all up. That wonderful dog is not vicious!!!!!❤
I like how Felix relaxed and closed his eyes while you were there. He might be asleep or finally able to sleep.
Shepherds and huskies are smiling dogs. When you’re introduced, be sure to smile often. They also like humming and low singing.
Labradors and bull terriers also are HAPPY SMILING dogs... Infectious fun
I rescued my Macki who turned into my service dog with no training she just knew. I miss her so much.
The owners just made excuses. He is so precious, I wonder how they treated him. Pls someone give him a loving family ❤god bless you baby. Thank you sir for working with all dogs
Poor guy. With each passing day, my respect for humans dissipates more and more.
I agree. If humans were the only animals in the world, I would not want to live in it.
BIG TIME!!!!~~
Over the years (I'm 75 now) all of my dogs/cats have been rescues or they
made their way to my yard or even front door. Recently; to your point as I was
taking out the trash, I saw movement in the dumpster. Some jerk (to put it
nicely) had thrown two kittens in the dumpster. I was able to reach one & get
her out but the other one got out a hole in the bottom. I tried to keep her alive
with powdered kitten liquid but she was too weak & died 2 days later.
But humans are in there trying to save them...If you condemn ALL humans, you may stop some from going to help.
Me and my wife have a golden retriever and a silver lab and we both always say that the only people dogs can rely on is their owners they count on us to feed them love them support them play with them give them treats when I come home from off the road I’m a truck driver they see my Peterbilt
Pull up in the driveway they go absolutely crazy before I can get out of my truck their already jumping in my truck and I just love every minute of their happiness I rotate them so they go on trips with me and lol don’t tell the wife I said this but they are so much better company then she is lol jk but like I said the only people that your animals rely upon to so them love comfort and give them love is you without us they have no one so damn it if you are going to get a dog or a cat it doesn’t matter what you decide to get you have better to take on that responsibility because when you get the animal that you want and your sorry azz decides that you don’t want him or her anymore and you replace them to a new home or a shelter you are just destroying their hearts and their confidence to live so if you are that lowlife piece of 💩 that only thinks of yourself please don’t go and get a dog cat bird snake fish man whatever it is that has a heart please don’t get it if you don’t love yourself
I’ve never met a viscous newfie. Shame on his parents for not getting a trainer and working through their lack of knowledge.
So sad. Happy ending, but so sad that those people let down King AND their son so horribly. I can only imagine what the son said.
Being overwhelmed, or afraid of a big dog is one thing, but, like Rocky said, labeling him as "vicious" could have gotten him the hot-shot. He was lucky to find you.❤
Thanks so much for saving him ❤️❤️
This precious boy had me in tears
It's so sad to see any animals in the shutdown state many find themselves in cuz they are so scared and confused about why they were abandoned.
He is not vicious... he is just a baby.... babies are never vicious they just need to be directed appropriately. Love you Felix baby.... You are an awesome baby boy.
I don't know about never, but this pupper definitely isn't vicious.
You can see his eyes when they say "the dog" like he knows they're talking about him and he's been talked about by the family like a problem. I would adopt him if I wasn't both working and in school and never home. He's adorable!
Beautiful dog! Felix is just a puppy. I want to see this dog in a few weeks. I cried for this beautiful boy.
FYI. Received my T-SHIRT today.😀
I'd love to see him when he's full grown, he's going to be twice as gorgeous. I'd love to see the pictures of him. He's so big for 5 months he's going to be huge when he's full grown for sure. I truly hope he gets a family that will show him all the love and care he very much deserves.
The little licks on Rockys finger during the paw touch. What a sweet boy! I wish I could do this!! My emotions run too high though.
Little Yoda/Mocha was adopted! 0:49 💕 Great job on all the pet adoptions. 🥰😻
these people just wanted to get rid of the dog and lied abot it. This dog is beautiful. He deserves the best.
This baby doesn't have a vicious bone in his body. If anything, he was heartbroken, and felt abandoned and unloved. 🥺
My Pittie, Brady Gronkowski, is a happy and friendly dog unless Dad isn't being friendly. If he sense that I am not being welcoming to someone trespassing in my yard then he can get vicious, but that is a good time fot him to be vicious.
@@chen3836 I am a convert
Thank you so much Rocky Kanaka
Most dogs just seem to love you hanging out with them...talking... just being there. I think it helps distract them from what's going on around them. They often fall asleep which is pretty cool.
The family made it up. He is a beautiful dog. I love his eyes! 👀
Absolutely!! 💯

He's beautiful. Would be a lovely companion out hiking in nature.
I'm so glad everyone's survived after interacting with this guy... I mean he is so vicious he just might lick your fingers off! ❤❤❤

He's beautiful. Someone needs to rescue him from the shelter soon. I'd love to have a dog like him.
Felix was a joyous happy puppy. Until a human betrayed him and took away his confidence. He doesn’t trust humans because they hurt him. With the right person, this little guy will blossom into the amazing dog he was meant to be.
This fits to every living being.
Going to hazard that he attacked his owners or their children because they'd cornered him or were antagonizing him in some way. He's a good pup, he just needs someone to be patient with him and let him have his space.
I bet the owners scared the crap out of this poor guy🙏🐶
He reminds me of dogs who've been traumatized. There often was violence, either to him or in front of him. Possibly beaten for house accidents, makes them want to just hide cuz they don't understand why!
Aw! When he licked your finger! That was how I became 'Granny' to my rescue dog. 'Mummy' had to reliquish him and we sat on a bench talking (about my dog and her dog) and he licked me. She said he had never done that before, so I had to have him. After so many years, I still have him and we are growing old together. Walks on the common every day. Shorter and slower but oh, so lovely.
he's just a lil puppers! 🥺 Seems to be a sheppard/husky mix, may stay smaller depending on the husky side...
