I think Bottas is Definetley gonna keep his sauber seat if he chooses to , The only person realistically in place to take a sauber seat is Pourchaire and maybe hulkenberg , and it will have to be Zhou who leaves first as even tho he’s a lot younger , hasn’t been performing to Bottas’ level in my opinion as Bottas had a lot of bad luck in 2023 such as Brazil , Vegas etc. Zhou won’t make the Audi cut but Bottas definitely could if he’s given the car to prove himself . As a sauber fan I have no clue what to expect for 2024 performance
I haven't seen him impressed for a while now, but could be the car. I just think there are more talents waiting on the side lines and teams prefer younger upcoming drivers. I think Bottas should look at WEC at this point or do cycling full time and enjoy his life. If I was him lingering around in the back of the grid is not worthwhile and he already made enough money to be set for life, he has better chance of winning somewhere else.
I think that in the modern cost cap era a lot of teams are wary of putting younger less experienced drivers in. It's not necessarily a given that if you win F2 there's a seat waiting for you like there used to be. Mainly because I think the quality of the grid is much better than it was say 7 years ago. I still think there's a place on the grid for Valterri, I'd love to see him back at Williams and team up with Albon.
Don't forget Sauber still have Theo Pourchaire as their academy driver. He'll likely take one of the Audi seats if either Bottas or Zhou don't perform, maybe even mid-season. Sauber are a team desperately in need of a new driver lineup and Pourchaire could help galvanise a team stuck in mediocrity for a long time.
I think Theo probably gets a seat in 2025 and then has that season to prove his worth. Whether Theo can be the answer to Saubers problems I'm not entirely sure.

@@takingthepitsf1231 He won't be the whole solution but he will make that team more exciting and relevant, which they haven't been for quite a while.
