I feel like they need a massive refresh internally with a new team principal. Guenther is a fantastic meme but I don’t get the impression he’s a good TP. Maybe they could keep him around as a marketing clown. I believe that there is potential, but they need a change in attitude and a change in how they work. Buying parts from Dalara clearly isn’t working. Gene needs to put some money in to design cars properly in-house, or they need to look at going the Toro-Rosso route with Ferrari and sharing as many parts as possible. Haas Alfa Romeo has a nice ring to it. But I think a even just a change in TP would see benefits. I suppose I should say that I do consider myself a Haas fan, mainly because I love underdogs.
The most frustating thing is that the 23 car reminds me of the 19 car and they have still not figures out How to fix it, and when they speak about it, they seem defeated. The 18 and 22 car was peak Haas
Well while other teams were looking to the RB 19 for development and upgrades, haas for some reason chose to go with Aston Martin and alpine. Which is fair enough but, everyone should've been looking to mimic redbull. Another thing is the crashes. The point is that haas drivers crash too much and that'll sink em either way.
Despite being a backmarker for most of its existence (with only occasional forays to the midfield at their peak), Minardi was at least a likable underdog team with a real passion for the sport. Frankly, the Gene & Günther clown show that only exists to sell Haas CNC machines doesn't deserve to be compared to Minardi.
Of all the products advertised in F1 Haas' equipment has been one of my best investments. I have no idea how many $million machines he sells but they're worth it. It's a shame that the F-1 is floundering around at the back of the field. Despite their Indycar success l don't think Dallara has been able to grasp the current chassis formula and it might be time to bring some new blood into their engineering staff.
Maybe the poor form of Haas makes the other owners afraid that if Andretti gets a team in F1, that Andretti will just be another Haas type of operation. Minimal staff and funding, just puttering around the back of the field. But soaking up a share of that prize $$ etc. Sauber has not done well in recent years either, but Audi is coming in and things should improve for them. Haas seems to be treading water at best right now.
I don't think with the amount of effort Andretti is putting in to get into F1 that they will be just another Haas, in terms of funding etc. performance is another thing entirely. I'd like an 11th team in F1
@@takingthepitsf1231 I agree, I also think Andretti would make a much more funded and serious effort to move up the grid. And the argument for an 11th team is that it brings another major manufacturer into F1, and a major racing company/family. No guarantees that the current engine Constructors will keep going in F1 forever. Same for the teams. Though with the higher valuations of teams now, the chances of a team folding is low. The sport is more popular than ever, so a perfect time to add another team. Especially a well funded and serious bid approved y the FIA.
@@kaitlynbabine1329 It's a bad idea having a team there for no reason whatsoever just a placeholder that adds nothing whatsoever to F1 yet you have someone like Andretti trying to get in but NOPE!! It's very odd
@takingthepitsf1231 its been more than a year. If the only really reason they do not want to let Andretti in is for splitting the pie then having a system in place to replace a low performing team for a new one should be a thing.
So many talented young drivers languishing in reserve roles and they decide to pick up KMag. They need to pick up a young guy, who would probably rather be in a shitty Haas than driving reserve behind Lance Stroll. I know there are contracts in place, but there has to be someone available that would make the change over to Haas, even if the team is a crap show. And as entertaining as Steiner is, they need to change it up. Look at what Vowles has accomplished at williams in just 1 year. Steiner is too erratic and seems to have a multiple personality disorder. They need the stoicism of a James Vowles if they want some consistency on their team. Stop doing crap for money and actually focus on the cars. And stop being a door mat for Ferrari.
I think K Mag was to bring stability. I think Gunther has come out and said they'd be willing to take on a rookie again at the end of next year. Which I think is a sign that Hulk will be gone.
There business model give them basically zero % chance of fielding a competitive car. They are using the prior year's Ferrari design and outsourcing the assembly to Dallara.
Gene Haas obviously has deep pockets when you look at all the motorsports in his business but F1 has to be bleeding money sponsors don't want to contribute. Look at the branding if in doubt. Time to sell and Andretti is the obvious buyer.
Isn't it crazy HAAS is in F1 yet Andretti has been slapped down time and time again trying to get into F1? It has to have something to do with money idk
How the hell did HAAS even get into F1?! We have Andretti being kept from F1 yet HAAS is in?! As someone from the U.S. I DO NOT consider them an "American" team it's complete BS.
Haas joined around 2015, when way fewer groups were trying to join Formula 1. Haas actually had some strong race results early on, but it was quickly apparent they didn't have the staff and facilities to properly upgrade during the season. Is Gene Haas going to eventually sell the team, once the team value rises enough? Clearly Haas needs more/better engineering and design staff, and better infrastructure to start climbing the grid.

The problem is Gunther. He is useless should have been sacked 4 seasons ago. Why he’s there in technical position makes zero sense that’s why there a 11 rate team.
@@AbiARDH.Official Great idea. Makes no sense the amount of money dumped by Haas, he’s had good drivers except grojan, that cost haas money and technical performance.

Will be interesting to see how the 2024 season goes for them
Haas is just turning into the new minardi at this point, I just don’t see any growth potential
Having a main sponsor willing to stick could help them in the long term. But the short term is hurting them more

Why their isn’t a rule that if you are consistently at the bottom you are at risk of getting replaced by another team is beyond me
Because a f1 hasn’t had a full field of cars in years so that’s a suicidal idea

There is not point to HAAS other then to sell it for profit eventually.
I think the amount of money it brings to Haas in sales is why Gene has kept the team for longer than expected.
I've only just found this site - way behind the curve, eh - anyway, just love the name!
If they remain in F1 and they should, Andretti should be allowed in, as well.

HAAS had upgrades in 2023? Not sure that a new set of tyres can be considered an upgrade.
They had upgrades, they just didn't do anything
