Love this. Probably one of the best things about being a farmer is you can bring the kids to work and its great fun and they can get involved and learn. Thanks for the work you do and the efforts of your family to keep Aussies fed.
@@nickislade5533 i was so little Dad would put the truck into first gear and I would stand on the seat and steer while he fed sheep off the back. When we shifted paddocks i would drive the ute down the road following Dad on the tractor. Our neighbour rang my mum to say she’d seen our ute going by with no one driving. Lol I could barely see through the steering wheel over the dash.
What a fantastic education for your kids, operating (or trying to) these machines on the farm. City slickers can only dream of this, that's if they even know how a farm works. Well done.
I like your future John problem, your girls absolutely are future combine operators, if they choose to listen and learn, they both got the talent, that shows. Good job girls.
Get a big solar panel for the roof of that fire truck, you’ll spend $200 and not worry about it starting any more. Money well spent. We park everything in a bar so we do the same with 120v trickle chargers

26 odd years ago i was helping on my ex's family farm for seeding and harvest - wow their was basicly no high tech anything...but my farther-inlaw looked after his family , so they never missed out.
I see Dexter thru your back glass!! Did I miss the video showing who is who of your 2 new girls? And when they were cleaning up in the morning @ 5:18, , the girls boyfriend was a GIANT!!
I have never seen harvest start so early in the year. Headers going round and round all the way to Northam the other day. Very hot here in the NE Central Wheatbelt, had 3 days x 40C already and more to come. Hope harvest goes well for you.
Be careful in that sun my brother, our ancestors didn't evolve for that stuff. Too many rural aussies have had their lives cut short. We all want you to be around to enjoy what you do.
Teach em young mate, you’ll be able to retire in a few years 🍺 keep up the good work mate, I’m doing movember myself but I’ll throw in $250 I’d love a hat 🧢 😁cheers
Stopping at thr top of thr hill? See Hill Country Farmer for real hills. His drone shoots from the Docking Video willl give you vertigo. Great seeing yours daughters learning how it all happpens.
So when the the weather conditions get to bad we put a ban on which means no one is allowed to be out in the paddocks. It’s to reduce the chance of a fire starting. We go of temp, humidity and wind. We put that in the calculator and when it reaches a certain number we have to put a ban on
Here in America, we have grain silos that we store the crops in. How come I don't see any of these in Australia? Is it too hot to have them or do they not store the crops well? I'm just curious why we don't see any.
The farmers here usually deliver their crops to local bulk handling bins established by a farmers Co-Operative Bulk Handling (CBH ) These are massive bins located on rail or road infrastructure to enable delivery to nearest port facilities. This has been established of at least 70 years. When the grain is delivered its properties are measured to establish quality, moisture etc. it is worth having a study of the CBH IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA as I have been out of the industry for a long time and the technology has advanced so much. Hope this helps explain a bit.
Way to go bro. Them girls will be pro's next season. How much will they make a season? Nah all good bro. Doing them girls a huge favour by teaching them early so driving a car will be a breeze just alittle faster unfortunately. The car I mean. Nice one.
Nice....is it a requirement to wear the hi vis shirts? Over here on East coast Qld on farms i work on we still wear our jeans and pretty much whatever shirt we want...as in no high vis
Mate, I gotta say to you that you've been coming up on my YT feed for about a week - some algorithm is working for you. I follow Corn Star Farms and Millennial Farmer, both in the Central US, Mid-West states. Otherwise, I'm just a four wheel driver who lives and works on the road - courtesy of Elon Musk. Subscribed and Bell rung. I'll see if Off Track is interested in promoting your channel, who promote small YTs. Kind regards, Stu

UA-cam thinks your playing Farm Simulator 25. That's what I searched. lol.
Can you explain the "harvest ban" please?

If you double your Movember goal , how about using Blue Sunscreen all over your face Papa Smurf?

Eastern states have more on farm storage in silos.

It's a requirement for our farm, not a "law". Just a safety thing and covering all bases
Hi Vis is tax dedctible clothing. Its right that you get a tax deduction for the clothing you are wearing out making a profit for your boss.
Another thing, these kids are really taking this seriously, quite mature for their ages.
👍
