That is fantastic! Ingenuity at its finest! I really appreciate when people put such fine effort into creativity rather than just buying new parts.
I could literally have a second kitchen outfitted as a workshop. Nice work.
Thank you! Half the basement and a double garage is filled with parts for my Cougar :D
wow, that looks amazing... fantastic job. I still have all the original dash and face pad in my 67, but this gives me great ideas for a replacement if I need to do that and have something custom/unique to my Cougar.
Thank you! In my newest video you can see I changed the cover with something else than black ;) But black is a more subtle choice for sure.
@@MrPhilip203 Yeah, i have a Nordic Blue exterior with black interior and black vinyl top, so i've stayed with the black and really love how the black looks on the piece you made. Really great.
very nice work you did a hell of a job & saved your self a good chunk of $$ fixing yourself
dude you did a great job
Thank you! ;)
Hello, I'm from Russia, you're a great designer and very creative person, thank you for making such videos :)
Super travail ! 👍
Great video and great work! Any details on how you did the gauges and bezel? What color did you paint the bezel?
Sieht echt klasse aus ! Respekt
Looks awesome! I want to do a similar dash. I would like to polish the aluminum.
Thanks! Thats nice.
Nicely done that looks killer!
Thank you :)
Hey bro! In the middle of a restoration on a 1968 and I cannot find a decent dash face pad. Do you make & sell these? Thanks!
Man! I sure would like to buy one of these..lol Im not the best at stuff like this...
Awesome
Been thinking of things to do to mine to make it a little nicer. I'd like to rechrome my gauges, but im wondering if a chrome vinyl wrap similar to how you did the black would be possible...lots of curves on the gauge cluster, but people wrap cars with intricate bumpers all the time so I think it might be a decent way to get chrome back on the gauges.
Nice idea! If you do it please share it with us! Rechroming like WCCC does it doesn't last very long from what I heard.
@@MrPhilip203 Really? That's the only other option to fix these up so that's kind of a bummer that it doesn't last that long. If it could be wrapped then it would be a pretty cost-effective solution. Once I get back to where my car is that's one of the first things I'm going to try.
@@asteffenson88 would be great if it turns out good. Some "rechromed" units start to fade into yellow after only one year.
Will you be making any more abstract speedpaints? Great vid by the way 👍
I hope so. I know everyone subscribed because of them and I still like them ;) I made some new ones, but without recording it. You can check them out on my Behance site.
Great job. Where did you buy the aluminum piece and the black foil??
I bought the aluminum in a german online shop and the foil in a local hardware store.
Nice work but why didn’t you upgrade it to an xr7 dash with more gauges?
Thank you! I make a custom gauge pod for the middle where the AC opening would be so that's not a problem. I like that you have more gauges on the xr7, but I don't like the look of them. The base gauges are so beautiful.
nice
Would you be interested in selling one? I have a 1967 cougar.
How thick was the aluminum plate
Oh, sorry for the late answer.
I used 3 mm so the original trim will fit tight ;)
Hey, great work. Did you buy the template or make it yourself?
Thank you! I made it myself with paper first.
Warum bist du inaktiv
COOL BEANS
wow kik ass I have a 68 mer cougar xr7.
