  • This is just a three minute video of a few Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos that visit us every year in our backyard here in Sheffield, Tasmania. They feed on the Banksia trees dry seed pods that were once flowers. As you can see, not everything I do is about my trout fishing.. Thanks for watching..
    cheers Adrian (meppstas)

Do you feed them any treats?
Or they have enough in their natural habitat? 🌳

They have enough to feed on for the whole time while they're here, I have two large native Banksia trees that are next to one another that are full of seed pods. They don't visit us every day either, they just drop by two or three times a week during the Summer months. I also have native bottle brushes & Waratah trees/shrubs in the yard as well, they flower at different times of the year and keep the honey eaters in the garden for a long time too.👍👍

Great video mate. I've started seeing them a bit in rural Victoria and they always remind me of seeing them flying around Great Lake as a kid.

Thanks Sean, glad you enjoyed it mate, good to see that they're still around on the mainland as well, I think they're on endangered species list too..cheers Adrian..
