Kevin and Ally have missed an important point in the new Dr Who series. It is the addition of the Disney Corporation who are now involved in the production. A couple of years ago a Disney executive producer discussed how they (DISNEY) insert the "not-at-all-secret gay agenda" into childrens programming. This said by Latoya Raveneau who said she was "adding queerness" wherever she can. Another Disney Executive Karey Burke has vowed to make at least half of the characters in the companies productions LGBTQIA and racial minorities by the years end, (end of 2022). Source is a New York Post article by Karol Marowicz published March 2022.) If this "Indoctrination" of children and young people into the Trans Ideological cult is the aim of Disney then I am not surprised that the new Dr Who franchise with Davies writing scripts has gone down the same route. Talking of Disney, a post by author and researcher Chris Rufo, published March 2022 reported on research done by CNN in 2014 who published a "a bombshell six-month investigation that discovered at least 35 Disney employees had been arrested for sex crimes against children, attempting to meet minors for sex, and possession of child pornography over the previous 8 yrs.". As Rufo said, "instead of promoting gender ideology in classrooms.....it would be better to identify and remove predators from within their own ranks". Have Disney done that?. Dr who should be "Cancelled by all right thinking parents who want to protect their children from the Trans AND Queer Ideology being pushed by Dr Who.
True. This is why it is doomed, sadly. Disney are currently destroying their own brand quite successfully after embracing the trans ideology and D.I.E. diversity, inclusion and equity all of which mean the opposite. Mediocrity rules now, and it shows in all areas of Disney including the parks, films etc.
I’ve been working my way through the classic era of DW on iPlayer, I’m now half way through the Jon Pertwee era, I couldn’t imagine him crying because some rich kids didn’t like him. He was a legend!
Perfect comment. Very good point. I’m gay and Christian. I have a number of friends who became suicidal living the life that had been living, and found life in Christ.
I'm still watching (since 1973), however it is cringe tv now. It has halved its viewers since Christmas day (an episode I really enjoyed as it happens giving me high hopes), Ncuti is crying too much, the stories never explain the outcome and don't make sense. We see teasing points that are then just completely forgotten about or never addressed as though half of the story is on the cutting room floor. I want to be entertained, but the constant DEI messaging outweighs the stories. Then we see the sexualisation and trans integration, it isn't to my taste at all. I've only watched this season’s episodes ONCE, I also did this with most of Jodie Whitakers run too, however prior to that it was only pantomime dross like Paradise Towers in the 80s that stopped me repeat watching! So yeah, I'm not sure I can watch much more of this shite, great effects and that’s about it - the polar opposite in fact of the Doctor Who I loved!
I'm American. I used to have a handful of friends on social media who were obsessed with Doctor Who, I'm talking they'd make at least a meme every day or every other day that was Doctor Who related. All that ceased to a grinding halt after like 2-3 episodes of Shittaker and Chinballs.
@@DoctorWhoManiaProductions23 The viewing numbers reveal all. Consistently losing viewers since the first episode of Whitaker's run which had around 10 million viewers. Now it is hovering just above 4 million, a 60% drop - that is impressive. A loss of million viewers, that is quite impressive.
So 1 - evil pro lifers. 2 Obey our pronouns or else. 3 Anti capitalism. 4 Dangerous right wing politicians. 5 Space racists. What woke causes are there for him to proselytise about in the three episodes left? Meanwhile the last story lost 500,000 viewers, so it's below what it was getting the last time it was cancelled. The lead actor is hardly in the show, because he was simultaneously filming his other role in Sex Education, and he has already announced that after two years he wants to go back to theatre. So effectively he's resigned from the show before he's even appeared in it. Disney only agreed to bankroll the show for two years so the could get the rights to screen Bluey. So RTD can do whatever he likes, because he knows whatever it is, the show will be cancelled by next year.
Ah, that's why. I was wondering why my grandchildren complain that they're no longer allowed to watch Dr Who. On the basis of this report, I'm afraid I have to back the decision of their parents.
It is completely unsuitable for children now, they've sexualised the Doctor and Davies is pushing trans idealogy beyond what schools do up to the age of 9. Shocking that this is the national broadcaster tbh.
The BBC pushes diversity and other messages in as many of its products as possible Just try watching Simon Reeve and see what I mean. This week he was in California and could not wait to start banging on about climate change (man made of course) and slave labour in the fruit and vegetable farming sector. It was truly cringe worthy.
I used to watch Doctor Who because I am a sci-fi fan and I have a nostalgia for the show as I watched it as a child. The Chibnall era was awful - if you tried to write a woke parody of the show, you couldn't beat Chibnall's effort; you could play woke bingo: Black composer? Tick! Black companion? Tick! Brown companion? Tick! Non-white Master? Tick! Female Doctor? Tick! Female AND black former incarnation of the Doctor? Double tick! Female political writers with no sci-fi experience? Tick! Gay relationship between a companion and the Doctor? (Almost a tick). Mary Seacole? Tick! Ada Lovelace? Tick? Rosa Parks? Tick! Global warming bad? Tick! The ratings dropped like a piano falling out of a window. The BBC would have known that the Chibnall's era failed because of the politics and they brought back Russell T Davies who is a much better writer than Chibnall, but instead of writing fun sci-fi, he doubled down on Chibnall. The Reithian mission of the BBC used to be to be to "inform, educate and entertain". Now it is to stuff its output with wokery. Why they want to do this is a mystery, particularly as Doctor Who must once have been a valuable property in terms of overseas sales and merchandising. And of course we are forced to pay for the BBC's bullshit through the licence fee. (As the BBC has given up on what it was founded for, it should be a subscription service). There are people on here that claim that Doctor Who has always been political, yes, but not relentlessly so, and also not at the expense of storytelling, and it wasn't the 'woke' bullshit of today. Chibnall marked the end of Doctor Who as entertainment.
It is truly shameful what they have done to Dr Who, rewriting his history and infantalising him. Urgh. As a watcher since the 60's NO THANKS! But, sadly I think that is what the writers want. They want a NEW audience not the boring, loyal fans. It is fascinating to see that the "new" fans haven't materialised...Dr Who is terminally ill, there is no hope for him.
Chris Chinballs destroyed the Canon and Russel Traitor Davies doubled down on it. Fans assumed RTD would rescue us with character driven stories that followed scifi rules. There were always lessons and lectures but they were carefully weaved into the story rather than fisted down our throats. The story always came first. In this season every episode someone else daves the day, not the Doctor. Equally, every episode features an undertone of children being abandoned of some description. Ncuti who has made his sexuaity his personality was great in SexEd. And inhear gr8 in Barbie, however as hes playing himself again now it just doesn't fit. He has zero gravitas. Mocktor Who is not my Doctor
LOOL cancel your tv licence to punish netflix---yaaay, you are still stuck in the 70s, and shame on you for thinking everyone is right there with you, in your backwardness...
Just done it a month or so ago. Pig sick of these woke idiots at the BBC at every level of programming. And RTD is entirely washed up as a writer. Nothing but an activist hack now.
My Doctor is dead! He died when they changed his sex and gave the part to the wrong actress. That is when I stopped watching, to preserve the happy memories.
When the BBC cancel doctor who i guarantee they will say something along the lines of people have out grown doctor who. Like none of the woke stuff had anythkng to do with it.
Dr Who, absolute trash churned out by the woke snowflake BBC. As a kid I really enjoyed and looked forward to it. But sadly the BBC has plunged to the bottom of the pile, and is now garbage TV not even worth watching.
They keep on trying to gaslight us into thinking the show was always like this for all 60 years of its history. As someone binging the Classic series right now, I can attest first hand you never really feel preached to. Sure, there's an episode or two about general environmental issues, and one or two about social issues that nearly anyone born after the 50s won't find any issue with anyway, but it's never, NEVER been as bad as it's gotten since at least 2017!

Gatwa clearly has zero gravitas with his repeated use of "Babes" & "Honey", & fancying young men. Remember,m The Doctor is supposed to be asexual to human beings. His chemistry with Millie Gibson seems forced, & his "acting" is laughable. Poor DW cosplay at best. But, keep trotting out The Green Death as your only defence of this DW reboot "Season 1" crapfest. You might say that this is what you get when you have TV producers being subsidised and guaranteed monies via a tax on the viewers - who they despise in the main. It does not matter a jot to them if the shows they produce, complete with the "message" are absolute rubbish that noone watches, they still get paid. Time to abolish the TV tax and let the BBC stand on its own two feet, they might have to think about putting on stuff audiences want to watch

I've watched every single episode of Doctor Who for its entire 61 year history, and it's never even vaguely been this level of unrelentingly political to the point of borderline indoctrination. Up until 2017, the sorts of political and social messaging it did tended to be more mainstream too. The show has radically changed. That's just an obvious fact, and of course, this same thing has been happening to many other shows and in the film industry.

I don't think the show is necessarily more political than it used to be - every era of the show has tackled capitalism, the environment, injustice, fascism etc. It's just that there is little subtlety any more and the political messaging isn't expressed through a well crafted story.

I have all Dr Who series from 2005 to 2017 on DVD. I stopped bothering after Peter Capaldi's run. I have pretty much all the Top Gear specials on DVD too. Stopped buying those after Clarkson was sacked and May and Hammond walked away. From what I've seen and heard I'm not missing anything, especially from what I've heard and read about Dr Who with it's message pushing agenda replacing good writing and acting. I certainly wouldn't want to watch a Dr Who having a meltdown and crying all the time for no good reason.

The very second story ever in 1963 features these things called the Daleks who are not only directly based on the Nazis, but are entirely based around murdering anything that isn't exactly the same as them (get it?) In the 70s there were stories about the environment and how that's being handled, about taxation, in the 80s there was a story about a corrupt lying government with a tyrant head directly based on Thatcher, there was a story about how us vs them mentality in a ww2 setting, there was a companion who was on the show for 3 years who was an anti authority punk type who was driven by the murder of her friend by a bunch of racists. Once again, all of these stories were told with analogies, allegories, metaphors and other parallels. You even said it yourself, 'based on'. They were never central to the story but used as a backdrop to a more focused story such as murder mystery or some megalomaniac with a dastardly plan. The viewers saw both sides of the story and the show allowed them to make up their own minds rather than being lectured to from the outset. Also, you wrong about the Daleks being 'directly based' on the Nazis as according to Terry Nation he got his inspiration for their first outing, (bearing in mind not knowing the success they would be for subsequent returns), based the Daleks on the Morlocks from HG Wells' The Time Machine, with of course the Thals being based on the Eloi from that novel. The 'Nazi' themes came much later.

Disney are currently destroying their own brand quite successfully after embracing the trans ideology and D.I.E. diversity, inclusion and equity all of which mean the opposite. Mediocrity rules now, and it shows in all areas of Disney including the parks, films etc.

The young audience is already brainwashed. It’s those of us who received a critical thinking education who can see this rubbish for what it is.
I’ve been working my way through the classic era of DW on iPlayer, I’m now half way through the Jon Pertwee era, I couldn’t imagine him crying because some rich kids didn’t like him. He was a legend!
The BBC is totally ignored in our house.
So this new gay, excitable and hysterical Dr Who is of no consequence.
Would you still dislike dr who if he wasn't gay yet still excitable?
Waris Hussein that’s all I’m saying
If it's such a great lifestyle, why would you need propaganda to push it? 🤑
Perfect comment. Very good point.
I’m gay and Christian. I have a number of friends who became suicidal living the life that had been living, and found life in Christ.
Totally terrible TV... I don't know anyone who watches Dr Who Cares now..
That doesn’t mean people aren’t watching
@@DoctorWhoManiaProductions23
The viewing numbers reveal all.
Consistently losing viewers since the first episode of Whitaker's run which had around 10 million viewers. Now it is hovering just above 4 million, a 60% drop - that is impressive.
A loss of million viewers, that is quite impressive.
@@primusstovis3704 this era has been far better than Whittakers, early days yet for ncuti so I’m not worried whatsoever
Doctor Who is rubbish now.
That's why you use their logo is it??
@@philjones45 That logo is from 1974, but I wouldn't expect you to know that.
13 million with Tennant is always muted as the high point...But it was 16 million with Tom Baker

Still be a fan; of real Doctor Who! My earliest memory is 1977, that was real Who.

RTD needed a platform. He deliberately used Doctor Who - a British institution with a young audience - for that platform.
My Doctor is dead! He died when they changed his sex and gave the part to the wrong actress. That is when I stopped watching, to preserve the happy memories.

Doctor Who died when Tom Baker left.
There's a good reason why the 1970's is referred to as the "golden age", with Baker's first 3 years as the apex.

You do know there was only one Cybermen story in the 70s?
The Green Death (1973) is just as political.
@@FreeTheDonbas- But, The Green Death was well written, well acted with Pertwee having the gravitas acting ability for the viewers to believe this was the same character as portrayed by Hartnell then Troughton. Pertwee had clear on-screen chemistry with Katy Manning as Jo Grant, & what a sad ending, emotionally done.
Perhaps more of "The modern diverse family audience" might enjoy proper DW in Green Death when it was entertaining & not stuffed with minority Alphabet People who tell true Whovian's to NOT WATCH when we criticise the writing & casting, & then question why Gatwa stars in the two lowest rated DW's ever. Maybe there's a correlation?
Gatwa literally touched grass in "73 Yards" after telling his dwindling audience that if they couldn't admire his "chocolateness" (His words), to go away & "touch grass", his ratings crater. Imagine that?
You might say that this is what you get when you have TV producers being subsidised and guaranteed monies via a tax on the viewers - who they despise in the main. It does not matter a jot to them if the shows they produce, complete with the "message" are absolute rubbish that noone watches, they still get paid.
Time to abolish the TV tax and let the BBC stand on its own two feet, they might have to think about putting on stuff audiences want to watch

I loved Dr Who before 2017. It was a show my family and I would watch together and really enjoyed it. It was a great family show that didn't lecture everyone. Great stories and lessons is an oddity in entertainment now. And that is shameful.
But you're a mom, a woman, according to the DEI production team, she was put there to represent you as a woman.

Doctor Who has always been political to be fair.
I've watched every single episode of Doctor Who for its entire 61 year history, and it's never even vaguely been this level of unrelentingly political to the point of borderline indoctrination. Up until 2017, the sorts of political and social messaging it did tended to be more mainstream too. The show has radically changed. No it hasn't always been political. It may have had the occasional political theme as a backdrop but even then they cleverly used analogies, alegories, metaphors and other parallels to as canvas for a much bigger and creative story with threats from aliens, monsters, space villains, brain computers, murder mysteries, technology, spaceships and ray guns. It's far too on the nose now.

The very second story ever in 1963 features these things called the Daleks who are not only directly based on the Nazis, but are entirely based around murdering anything that isn't exactly the same as them (get it?)
In the 70s there were stories about the environment and how that's being handled, about taxation, in the 80s there was a story about a corrupt lying government with a tyrant head directly based on Thatcher, there was a story about how us vs them mentality in a ww2 setting, there was a companion who was on the show for 3 years who was an anti authority punk type who was driven by the murder of her friend by a bunch of racists.
But sure, Doctor Who of all things "was never political".
@@dommoore6180 Yes, I remember the black soldiers rounding up those people in 'Turn Left' to go into 'labour camps'. I never said 'never', please do not misquote me.
