I really enjoyed hearing Tyler speak about his parents. Revelations today about his father's time as a Prisoner of War brought me to this video. A remarkable family.
I knew your Mum really well. She came and worked for me in my dinner theatre in Sydney doing Plaza Suite. And your lovely sister was my PA until she fell ill and sent back to London. I was so sad when she passed - much too young. And of course I remember you and that we played in Holland Park when Peter and Janet visited my parents in Troy Court Kensington. I clearly remember we all went to Tags Island in the Thames for lunch one day.
Hello Kerry Thank you for your comment - I will pass this on to Tyler. Am I correct in thinking you are the son of Jimmy Jewel? If so, could you email me please through my website at - mail@bigredbook.info
Nice to see that Tyler has the same affability and likeability as his parents. Peter and Janet surely must have been one of the most popular couples in showbiz, and I couldn't imagine anybody not liking them. Janet was a brilliant impersonator, and Peter really was the unsung hero of the Carry Ons. True national treasures, and what a lovely tribute from Tyler - who really does look like his dad!
So glad I came across this as I thought Peter Butterworth was one of the very best actors in the Carry On films, but I didn't know that he and Janet were married. Well, I was at Webber Douglas ... drama school `80-82, one or two years behind Tyler, and only met or saw him occasionally, but I was in awe of Tyler's presence and his clear talent, had no idea at the time of his parents though, certainly not Janet. But goodness me, he clearly had the acting and talent genes of both his parents when noticing him around, seeing him perform at the school and then in the only film I saw him in - Four Weddings and a Funeral, playing the vicar. And then later, with his video tours of London (etc?). Nice to see him again here, and his memories and stories of his wonderful parents. Thank you.
Never knew Peter was married to Janet Brown! She was a brilliant impressionist and comedian! And doesn’t Tyler have a wonderful mix of his dad and mum’s looks! And as charming too!
Absolute spit of his dad Peter ❤️👌god bless em,loved Peter and Janet🙏❤️
