I just realized that Turians and Krogans are basically what happens when you split the “Soldier” and “Warrior” qualities of a Warhammer Space Marine and make them into their own separate Xenos Species (Turians the soldiers and Krogan the Warriors of course). Also, unrelated side note, Krogan + Vorcha would LOVE to try and colonize Catachan.
@@Canuccoleslaw It’s funny, because according to the lore, Pre-Atomic Age Tuchanka WAS more or less the Mass Effect equivalent of Catachan. So it’d basically be a return to form for them. Although they’re ONLY going to survive in the long term if they’re going in without The Genophage handicapping them. Individual Krogan may be built like Space Marines to the last, with a rivaling level of strength/speed/durability/longevity/etc…, but their survival as a species would depend on their ability to out-breed anything in the Galaxy besides Orks and Tyranids like way back when.
Never ask a Turian what the Palaven faction did during the Unification War, an Asari what their commandos are inspired from, and a Salarian Dalatress what the Genophage was originally for.
Honestly I've been slacking on Asari lore. I always viewed them as the basic bitch mary-sue's of the galaxy (expect that portrayal in future videos), so I never bothered reading into their history that thoroughly
@@Canuccoleslaw This is more headcanon, but it's basically what if the Ardat-Yakshi was specially created through Prothean genetic manipulation to create the ultimate biotic, creating a class of super warriors directly connected to Athame. And when the Asari found other sapient species, worked to purge them, because alien sex.
congratulations you ruined my favorite citadel race here's hoping when Garrus said: "when it comes down to it I am not really a good Turian" he meant all that as well
idk glossing over his outlook and philosophy leads me to believe he'd be okay with extrajudicial killings, so long as its 'for the greater good' (whatever that might mean)
Now I’m wondering about those humans on the colony the Turians occupied during the first-contact war…
Yeah, suddenly all that makes more sense ._.
top tier mass effect video

Catachan if they wanted a challenge, but I picture them being more at home on Necromunda
