Hey. Copper today,is from 3.60 to 4.50 a lb in Ont Canada. 😊not too bad. Gives you a list of which type of copper,to that price. As we all know, food and price of items, fluctuate each day,or month. Not sure in the USA.
Good run, I'm surprised you didn't get bare bright price for any of that.. Bare bright is about 30 cents more than #1. I couldn't tell exactly what you had, most of it did look like small stranded wire but 16 gauge and thicker is bare bright. definitely worth separating... And it's a good thing you took that in when you did cause copper has dropped over a dollar since then!
The wire was not very thick at all. And honestly I go to different yards and they all have a different price/clarification on what they label their copper as. I’m glad I sold when I did though lol!
Don t stop anywhere for a coffee on your way to the scrapyard. Someone will grab your pile while you re inside !!😢 nice haul!! Can I barrow $853.50 ?? 😅
You could have repurposed the large industrial plumbing part by putting legs & wheels on 4 corners, for a work bench table to mount a lathe, grinders, or knife grinder/sander or welding assembly bench. The round holes in the sides give access to the "shelf". The holes in the "shelf" could have buckets for scraps etc or put a flat sheet of aluminum for a shelf surface. I did something similar & used it for years, then when I downsized I sold it. The buyer couldn't get the $800 out of his pocket quick enough. Plate aluminum is EXTREMELY expensive if you buy it, not worth much if selling as scrap. Before you accept scrap prices, try to repurpose stuff for a much greater return. It takes imagination & gives more satisfaction.
I believe melt the copper and two bars Heaven certified put in the vault. Get the value of copper up for one ton $2 million Is a longshot it’s worth it
Just got a job cleaning a car repair shop. Recently started collecting stuff like radiator fans because I can see there's some copper in there. I'm in Maryland. Anybody knows how much I could get for each lb of that type of copper?
Was it worth your time to gather and then strip the wire? How many hours did it take to make $870? I’m curious, certainly not criticizing. If stripping it was something that you enjoyed doing, then your hobby paid off. If you considered it something that kept you from enjoying your life then I’d be curious to know your per hour rate. I did enjoy your video and I have subscribed because of it. You are an interesting guy.
I have always enjoyed the scrapping process! I also really enjoy the process of trying to make a great UA-cam video. So it’s a win win really! Thanks for the sub man!
lol I hope it doest get too much higher! that means everything else will keep going up as well lol! ..... and I've also sold almost all my copper 😂 Thanks for checking our the video!
@@CountryBoyChronicle I have collected copper for many years and never sold. I finally got around to weighing it and its over 600 lbs. Not much for a lifetime collection but I am about to be 65 years old. People keep saying hold on because the "go green" energy plans in the U.S. will make copper go higher. What do you think?
@@tmo4330 I wish I knew the answer. What I did was sell all my copper and scrap months ago and I invested the money into stocks and crypto. It freed up a lot of space in my scraping area.
If you don't hold it, you don't own it. So many people fooled by the speculation around crypto, then it tanked, and continues to tank. I'm glad I sold it all before Biden destroyed our economy.

I find wire stripping very therapeutic.
Same here Steven!

shred not bare bright
my yard pays top price and still lets me mix in my stranded wires and still calls it bare bright I consider myself lucky lol
So what's with stainless? I see wires that aren't copper & silver in color. They worth anything?

Thanks Stephanie! I wish we still had prices like in this video, they have dropped a decent amount
If you got some scrap built up, sell it… prices are great!

Maybe scrapping is more rewarding for him than doing what you like to do with your junk....either are great things to do with junk
Nice to put some green in the pocket.
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT GRANDPA KEVIN! Gonna take that and buy more stuff to scrap out 👍🏼 thanks for checking out the video!

If we are buying the scrap wire, how to negotiate the price as we have to put labor effort to do the stripping of the wire to get the copper
Great videos.scrap clean copper is around 8euro in Ireland.👍💵💵
Sell before prices drop!
Great video
Thanks Big Country! I appreciate that
How much you think my plumber got from my water heater copper pipes solids one built 30 years ago better quality
You left out what you ate for breakfast this morning. REDUNDANT! REDUNDANT! REDUNDANT!
Well we’ll I got shafted by not knowing what types I had. Oh well what’s new.

How much is 100lbs of solid copper worth?
Right now, between 200 and 275 I think.... I've not scrapped any copper recently.

What state are you in? My copper prices went from 4$ down to 3$ in a little over a months time! Your lucky to be getting 3.50+
Also aluminum has tanked. Extruded used to be 80 cents down to 40 cents. Cast was 60 down to 3.5 and sheet is same

Scrapping isn't about an hourly wage for most
Time to send the Nightrider out to scrap some copper instead of Gaaasooleen
But beware of Max
Could you please let me know which stripping machine you use?
Get a strip master. Drill powered. You will be blown away
Yes sir! That’s what I use!
Stripmeister 🤘🏼
nice pay day ,i was reading the other day that copper might hit 15000 by winter so hard to know if its worth keeping till winter to see

@@CountryBoyChronicle you are getting over $3 bucks a pound. No local yard gives that much...unless you go to a refiner.
