Hey thanks for watching the video!
Great video Jan! The tours are amazing. I appreciate the owners giving the tour and their time for doing so - but you gave an amazing tour with great commentary on this particular dairy. I also appreciate how you only make positive comments about all the things you're experiencing. You're a class lad Jan! Well done! Great sandwich at the cheese shop too.
Love seeing these tourer’s. It’s nice to see how other people run their dairies. The technology is awesome, i really like to see more
@AUDREY
Fantastic reporting! Your providing a great service to educating the worldwide public on the dairy industry. Great Job! Do more of these. Like go to Holland check it out as well as the Dutch ladies.😊
Do you know of any channels that have such programming with at least subtitles in English? I'm 4th Generation Frisian (and a smidgen of Groningen) and would LOVE to see and understand more of what my fellow super-sized blond farmers do, or even the Dutch ones.
Jan, great tour's for these last few vids & can't believe you made it so far up the central valley! Hope you enjoyed your travels. 🐄🌞🐮🚜
Another great tour! Thank you Jan.
I think the cows were really entertained by the rotary movement. They looked so lively and curious as they went around! I've always thought cheese was a kind of luxury item. It looked so good in that sandwich.
It's interesting on which foods are more available/affordable, and the difference in taste of the same product, depending on regional and specific location(s) - dairy/cheeses/ice cream, fruits, veggies, seafood/shellfish, species and cuts/types of meats and sausages, coffees/nuts. alcohol/beer/spirits/wine, etc - even in just Canada/NA/USA.
That is an impressive milking design. Thank you for sharing another way of milking cows. Jersey cows have had a reputation of having a high milk fat content in their milk. We realize that Holstein cows have move volume. Keep sharing on UA-cam. 😊
Hello from Germany, I have seen one of those rotary milking facilities about 10-12 years ago, near Cologne. Cows loved it 🥰 They could do 40 cows and the operating parlour was inside the circle. A full circle and the milking was done. Congrats on your teaching skills, love watching your channel!
Very much enjoy seeing how other dairys do things.
Hello from South Africa.
Thanks for a very educational video and it was really fun to watch. Thanks so much Jan.
I know exactly where you were. Didn’t realize you were in my area. Vierra’s have a sweet set up. They also have a sweet custom silage harvesting set up too called Chopper Guys. All top of the line equipment.
Very cool seeing the videos of these incredible dairy farms. Thanks for showing them.
Glad you had a good time thank u sharing
Very cool shed, we have a 80 bale rotary for 1050 cows. Our teat sprayer is located on the plastic leg splitter, and all automated
Jersey cows are amazing! Their milk fat percentages are soo good.
Teat spray robot was cool, one of those cows looked like she needed her back right quarter checked.
Much as I really love the information and innovation shown in these videos, I really like that you balance knowledge of each cow and industry back home. It seems more personal.
That merry go round is the coolest equipment I’ve ever seen and that robot arm is really creepy but very handy. Thanks for this, I’m into horses but cow farming is pretty interesting.
Well done Jan on the rotary parlour tour, very clean set-up, the Jersey cows looked happy and very content on the turntable, the robot spraying iodine disinfectant looked a bit like overkill, the milking space could accommodate an individual spray unit to spray the cow after milking, otherwise a very fine operation.
The Dairy tours and information provided have been excellent. Well done. 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜
i workerd for 3.5 years with DeLaval TSR. A very nice solution when it works... There are three security switchs at the cage and also when TSR has a problem you have a emergeny stop. So you have to check all switches and mostly restart the robot-computer three or four times. And this is often at 4 a.m.
And nobody us the security wire, because when you start the rotary after a emergeny stop maybe you shot down the TSR.
The PR3100HD is a nice rotary with high performance. We had a 60-stall, but clockwise. And some different details: Harmony plus as clusters, only one receiver and no terminals in the subways but a large screen for test milking samples.
Good comment. I am all for efficiency and new technology but I am sure getting the bugs worked out and keeping it working takes some doing.
Hello Jan, thanks for the video. What impresses me much more than the modern cowshed is you! You come into a strange barn and you talk for 10 minutes down to the smallest detail as if you had been at home there every day for 20 years. How do you manage that. You are a phenomenon!!! Great recognition.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Sweet tour!
Thanks!
Some great looking cows! Brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
Another awesome setup. Thanks for bringing us along.
Great job on this series you put together. Thank you
You do excellent work. So interesting and informative. Thanks!
That's awesome my friend, and you're so articulate and engaging too!
Your videos are always awesome. Not only the content, but the quality as well.
These ladies look like they are on an amusement park ride!😄
Amazing video Jan, it's very interesting how the farms work with different technology. Thanks,
Fascinating. I think your cows are happier
This was cool to watch and hope to see more like this post. Thanks for sharing and have a nice safe day!!! PS: Lunch looked and sounded great.
Really interesting!! Thanks, Jan.
This very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Man that set up is so kool thanks again for the video
Fantastic educational video. Love it thanks
You forgot to mention one of the great aspects of a Jersey cow! Theyre calmer, friendlier and their milk actually has a higher fat content, up to 5%. This makes it great for cooking and processing! They are slightly smaller cows than the usual friesian and will give a few liters less a day, but the milk is so worth it!
Awesome video! That "pre-dip" robot is a joke compared to the "post-dip" robot. It didn't seem to get all of them..
Gee you & other UTubers like #10th generation dairyman are so articulate. It is a real credit how you explain yourselves
That's amazing thanks Jan
Wow, that's some dairy, ultra efficient. It looked new. An all Jersey herd, which is nice to see, they don't produce as many pounds per day as Holstein's, but they produce more milkfat, which is desirable for some dairy products.
We have a local dairy that has all Jerseys, that sells their products locally, of course it's much smaller than that one. 🐂👍🇺🇸
More creme more cheese and butter. Excellent milk to feed baby calves

It's great milk to feed just about any kind of baby mammal that needs a little extra boost.
I once had a neighbor bring me 3 tiny little wild rabbits that a dog had gotten into their nest and killed their mother, and a couple more babies, because they didn't know what to do, and someone else had told they would die without their mother, and they new that I had fooled with just about every kind of animal growing up on a farm.
My late wife didn't know what to do, but she was more than willing to do anything I told her, because I was gone during the day working, and they needed near constant attention.
I went to our local Jersey dairy and got a couple of quarts of raw milk, mixed a little bit of sugar, and wheat germ oil with it, and started feeding them with an eye dropper, every hour at first, and once they got started, they eat my concoction like crazy, and thrived, to everyone's dismay, except mine. As they grew I stopped the sugar, and added old fashioned Quaker Oats that I had put in the blender to make them smaller, and so they would go through a baby bottle nipple, which I had enlargened the hole in. We kept those babies until they were about 100 days old, and we took them to a nearby state park, and released them near the golf course, and according to some of the park employees, they grew up, and was always seen together, and they said that's how they knew it was them, and there you have a long winded rabbit story, that you didn't sign up for. 🐇🐰🐇
Jerseys were the cow they liked at the small dairy I used to visit here in the Santa Clara Valley. It's now been sold and moved due to the high cost of land, with no more dairy's in this area.
Amazing , looks like a football stadium on a smaller scale , how the world is changing milking that many cows , stay safe ! Great video !
Another awesome piece of work from SaskDutch Kid (You're not a kid anymore though :P)
Keep it up Yun... You are one of the great humans in dairy industry I've seen through UA-cam
Love from Sri Lanka
R2-Teat2. Pretty cool. Thx4 sharing such a variety of topics. Time4 your world tour! Blessings.
I like these tours! I can't imagine what my grandparents would of said about these innovations. I believe that the TSR should be sporting a couple of googly eyes.
@AUDREY
So Jan, from a working man's perspective, which style of milking parlor is easier on the people doing the milking? And Jan, thanks for supporting the United States by displaying our flag on your hat! I want a hat with the Ukrainian flag on it!
Excellent video Jan. Very interesting.
Thanks for a great video
Goid job explaining automated dairy. Very interesting. Good job. Does many dairies in Canada use Jersey cows?
That turntable was moving a lot faster than I thought it would!
Excellent video Jan! Your video skills continue to grow and I like the travel vlog stuff.
Those Jersey (black nose) cows have huge udders!! Jerseys are reputed to produce more fat content, however, a lot of cheese in the supermarkets here in UK is now lower fat. They have finally made it taste good too now. But I suppose any excess fat can be processed into butter.
Pumping the milk straight into a tanker looks good, economies of scale.
....was busy watching that cow and her tongue up there over your head... (4:37) 😆
Thanks for the video. Love that hat!
So Awesome!!! I love that milk!!!
Jan you are the perfect Spokesperson for the Dairy Industry! 🐄🥛🧀🍦
Those girls seemed to like looking down and seeing you Jan 🐮 ❤️ 😂
Really enjoyable vid. That cheese sandwich looked delicious!
Got to love those jersey tongues
Great video Jan.
How interesting to see Jerseys! Once had ice cream made from Jersey milk in Guernsey 🇬🇬 and it was delicious.
That was great nice farm
Awesome show!!! I was wondering why they didn't have a crap tray the whole way during the milking process
Awesome video!
I love cow merry-go-rounds
Unskimmed jersey milk gotta love it.
Wow it was totally awesome everything is automated soon don't need human hands...great but sad at the same time...thank you Jan as always!!!!! :))
Awesome thanks for the video Jan. Jerseys, huh, the milk is still white and they are a little smaller Cow than Holstein from what I can see, thanks for the video. Aloha🤙🏼🤙🏼
This must cost millions but I guess it's the way of the future
Great operation for 3700 jerseys milking process
13:00 ik heb zeker genoten! Groetjes van uit Assen the Netherlands !!
I wish you could have shown more of that big farm i wanted to see the cows actually getting off and on the rotary it seems like there is alot of room for error in both of those aspects say with slower moving cows and what not I always thaught they could get squished if they didn't get off fast enough or something
I think the rotary parlor is fantastic. My husband is building or doing the milking part of a Delaval 128 milking parlor along with a lot of other workers plumbers and electricians and etc. by Twin Valley, Minnesota. I've watched all your videos from your trip so far, great reports. Did you get to see the Redwoods? 👍
nice video. Than you Jan.
That was pretty cool
Such a good video, especially the sandwiches
I have enjoyed all of your videos. Also, seeing your country from a fare Thank you
That was interesting.
Really enjoyed your video again. Doing a 👏
Thanks for sharing, that was an interesting place. Eet smaklijk! 👍👍
This is interesting but honestly I prefer your Dairy, I do agree with the blue plates that keep the cows legs separated and I think cleaner udders!
That wash of the exterior of the milking clusters seems like it must be a LOT of water usage. I wonder if the farm has some water filtration and re use of water.
ET sprayer at work,, 😆 hahaha,,we wondered about the poop,,and you showed the good pan,,are you moving to California one day?
It's spades on tank vs truck. You're either paying for the tank or you're paying for the trucks. If your going through as much as they are it's worth loading straight into the truck save a step. If its like you where it's a tank a day or two it's not worth the truck head ache.
In for more cool how great ,i was lost without that word .
GOOD MORNING
Very interesting viewing the rotary system. I wish you could have shown the cows entering the system and leaving the system.
Very interesting. At what point does the cow get checked for mastitis or other problems?
It’s the chocolate milk cows!!! 😋
AMAZING! WOW!
This makes me think of fast food. This is not for me. But I do like the no milk tank cooling system.
Thats probably a clover dairy. They still sell their milk in glass jars. Its the best
Very cool.
Nice... As always!! ❤🐄🐄
That pre dip wasmt very accurate
Try nx.time dipping the grill cheese sandwich in a bit of mustard....
Another cool dairy. When are going to release videos of your evenings in Cali?
Jerseys😄🏴
Very interesting
