The Basic insurance covers a lot but still the private dentist etc. are really affordable
Especially health is very cheap and very high quality service.
Be carefull, I heard some horror stories about turkish doctors. And for dentist I would fly home to visit family once a year and go to my own dentist.

A very useful video. I was thinking of renting a villa in Turkey for 3-4 months during the British winter. I have been put, as many of villa's I have seen on line are VERY overlooked and offer no privacy.
Yes. The houses are built super close to each other and no privacy to speak of..
Gorgeous places for so little. I am use to California prices so this is so affordable. Makes me want to move there for a year.

There are so many british people in Fethiye which increases the market rates. I suggest you to explore other heavenly places in Turkey which are half if not less.
Yeah, i agree with you. Unfortunately the prices are getting higher day by day up to that reason. But of course we like our British guests😊

Over 7,000 British citizens permanently live in Fethiye property, while approximately 600,000 British tourists visit the town every summer. the prices on fish market and the rentals are way over the average due to wealthy turkish people as well as foreign people. People take advantage on that. It is also advisable to check other heavenly places which are not discovered yet. Many thanks for your videos.
You are right prices in southwest and west of Turkey are more expensive than other parts of country cause are touristic areas

A snowbird needs a place for rent in Southern parts of Turkey
when Bulgaria becomes too cold and barren in the winter.
But Turkey's summer was too much while Black sea coast in Bulgaria was lot cooler.

I had no idea what a beautiful country Turkey is. I do have a question about residency and wondered if I could ask it privately via messenger on Facebook?
I am 52 years old. Have to work another 15 years. But many turkish collegues in the Netherlands were I work and life. Started learning turkish yesterday. Hope to spend the too hot turkish summers in Sweden and the winters in Turkey when i am 67 year old.

Great video, will be waiting for the video about buying property in Turkey. Kindly suggest which place are great for investment.
Prices have changed dramatically in a year since this video, but still very cheap for foreigners holding dollars. I've been here 8 years and will be looking to rent soon, then after will purchase something permanent, hopefully. I'm in the Aydın area. Here you will see many places that say you can rent a place only until May, at which time the tourist from other countries come and the rent jumps to between 2,000 lira to 20,000 lira per week (150 to 1,500 dollars per week). So you will want to look at long term rentals. EDIT: Pools anywhere here are not always maintained, so beware. If a place has a pool, feel lucky if you can actually use it. Turkish friend of mine made reservations at a 5 star hotel in Alanya which boasted several neat things, only a couple of those things were actually usable, not including the huge pool they used to sell her the hotel room. EDIT #2: Heating and cooling costs have increased since this video by between 60-75 percent.

But go to east turkey, for example, Mersin - lovely beach's and you can rent a nice apartment for 100 engl. pound a month and it is a lot cheaper to go out and eat and so on- the more east the cheaper you will find it to be.
