Great video! Any issues with debris or dust shooting back up? Also wondering if this affects MPG? I want to do a love viper cut like this but wondering if there will be issues without getting the additional protection.
No issues at all. Also, you will not see any difference in mpg. If you're worried about protection, C4 makes a skid plate for the washer fluid tank. We have them available on our website.
The C4 one? Yes, you can buy it by itself. Here is the link yotaxpedition.com/products/4runner-windshield-washer-tank-skid-5th-gen-2010?_pos=14&_sid=29e087319&_ss=r
I'm not a fan of the 5th gen looks because of that Darth Vader grill (I have a 4th gen). Now that you've made your Toyota more off road worthy, your mall crawl pass has been revoked.
@@yotaxpedition funny thing, I just bought this 4Runner 3 months ago. Yes, I had choices but opted for this one because of the V8 and 4wd. I'm an old fart and the Darth Vader look is really overdone.
@@Americafirst-i8q you're absolutely correct. Prices are ridiculous for high mileage examples. The 2003 V8 4wd 4th gen I bought last November just turned over 202,000 miles.
I usually think the viper cut looks terrible, but since you did the lower cut instead of the high cut, it actually looks pretty good.
We are going to be cutting higher when we install the C4 bumper with viper cut extensions.
Best 4Runner channel out there!
Thanks! Means a lot!
Looks good. Less extreme than you regularly see. Good job dude. (I went steep on mine but I love all viper angles)
Thanks! Less extreme but still plenty of clearance.
Great video on the viper cut. I have it on the list to do to my 22 runner.
Wasn't too bad of a job. It sucks to cut it up but it definitely looks good.
I want to do this but I’m sketched out with debris shooting up in there. 😅
Looks awesome! nice job!!
Thanks!
Do you have the measurements you can share for that viper cut?
Whats the dimensions on that cut

Whats the name of the smaller saw-like tool that you used to cut the remaining bumper? I'm going to need this for that angle cut. Thanks
Air saw, you can grab a cheap one from harbor freight. Works great!
There’s no rubbing ,if you turn the volume up..😂
This is true lol
Nice!
Thanks!
I have the same problem
what's offset on the wheels? also what kind of upper control arms?
Stock upper control arms and the wheels are 17X8.5 0 offset
How did you end up securing the liner on the driver side?
I didn't do anything with the driver's side. It hasn't given me any issues. It seemed sturdy enough to let it go.
How much lift do you have on the vehicle?
Roughly 2.5" up front and 1.25" in the rear
Is there a template to make that cut easier?
Not currently but we thought about making a template for people.
@@yotaxpeditiondid you ever pursue doing a viper cut template?
Hi what wheels are those??
These are Fifteen52 Range HD wheels
@@yotaxpedition do you have any wheel spacers on?!
They are 17x8.5 et0
@@yotaxpedition nice! What's the oem rock slider part number that are on that 4runner?
Is there a lift on this 4runner?
Yes we currently have an ICON stage 1 lift kit on it.

Lol, sounds like something a 4th gen owner would say...jk ❤

The problem is you couldn't afford a 5th gen

No thanks not butching up my 4runner
Then why'd you watch the video? lol. I get it but if you want to run bigger tires then this is a step you have to take.
Sorry I don’t like cut away my toe to fit new shoes.
Think of it as fat that's in the way lol
