I live in a suburban county in Colorado that back in the 1990s was definitely leaning Republican. Now, it's strongly Democratic. Trump didn't even get 40% of the vote in the county. I live in a suburban county in Colorado that back in the 1990s was definitely leaning Republican. Now, it's strongly Democratic. Trump didn't even get 40% of the vote in the county. Personally, I don't think he should be a serious political candidate, but that ship has sailed, twice.
Anyway, I wish a political scientist or sociologist would study my county and figure out why the politics have shifted so much and apply that knowledge across the US.

Just like you'll never sell a physical product without people knowing it exists and seeing it positively, politicians need to market themselves and their ideas effectively. The Democrats fail at this so miserably, their policy ideas have 70-90% support across the board; but once you put the (D) behind a person's name, that support plummets below 50%. That 20-40% loss in popularity is because of bad Democratic brand marketing
Just keep saying "Change", even if Dems are in charge of everything. Americans are dumb enough to buy it.
great sentiments, Congressman Jeffries, but the reality is that many people vote against their own interests even when Democrats are working for them. They just don't bother to investigate who votes for this, or that, who votes against this or that, and how that relates to them.
Colbert pushed him on specifics multiple times and Jefferies only responded by slightly qualifying his previous general responses. In other words, Jefferies gave general accepted visions of “how it ought to be” and provided no indication of how that would be done or how they have done it in the past. For example- You wouldn’t name one example of what worked to achieve progress on the vision you had just laid out?
