you are so right, the weight of a watch is important and one of the things about titanium is that it is light and it does feel less quality and why I always seem to prefer steel to precious metals as the heavier weight just feels better to me. I do have titanium watches and I do like them but I always wish they were in steel.
More people need to know of your channel. Thanks for the informative review. Awesome photography/videography. I first watched your Steeldive Tuna video (It's a great watch IMO) and this is my second video. Looking forward to more!
Thank you so much! I recommend you watch the Maratac DC-50 video (if you haven't seen it already) That's a fantastic value watch Thanks for the words of encouragement. I will be making a few more vids for sure! Cheers! 🍺
Great review! I own a Vanuatu in SS and I love it. Matt is absolutely what makes Helm special. Having a watch that is individually pressure tested by the owner, and having the ability to communicate directly with him is awesome. That’s what separates these watches from San Martins and other “Chinese specials.” Yes, the waiting list sucks, but for me it’s worth it. I’m getting close to the top of the waiting list for this one and I can’t wait! Helm isn’t for everyone, but it’s definitely for me.
That's awesome, Dood! Thanks for leaving the comment And yeah, I agree with you that the level of service is much higher quality with Helm than with other Chinese brands like steel dive/San Martin I hope you get your Khuraburi soon and that you love it Please report back once you get in on wrist 😃 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Agreed. Just received my Vanuatu in titanium and the watch exceeds expectations. I used to own a Miyako but I just didn't bond with and sold it for what I paid, so there isn't even a risk just put your name on the list and forget about it.
Thanks for the comment I've been working on the music to make it less repetitive I would appreciate it if you could check out one of the newer videos and let me know if the music changes seem like an improvement to you Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. It helps me improve the channel 🍺
Had the same issue with the end links on a different Helm. I contacted Matt and he promptly sent out some different springbars with a slightly smaller outside diameter. This corrected the issue 100% and allowed the soringbar pins to fully seat, securing the watch.
Thanks for the info I might reach out and ask them for some support I would like to wear this guy on the white strap once in a while :) Thanks for the comment 🍺
It's just a matter of time Everyone is starting to offer sub 900 true GMT watches using Miyota movements So don't be surprised if HELM gets in that GMT game With that said HELM does not introduce new things very often But I hope they do, lol
I think "true" or more accurately travel GMT watches are overrated and overpriced. I travel and use both travel and caller GMTs as well as world time watches. I have a harder time setting the date on travel GMTs but not on caller GMTs. Whatever time you gain by having a jumping hour hand is lost with the delay in setting the date.@@LosNTime
That's fair you know what works for you.... to be honest i like the travel GMT because it is more fancier complication, and movement and complications are my favorite things about watches... how ever some folks value case design and dial over movement and complications and would probably pay more for a watch that has a simpler complication if the case and dial is really nice. i'm not like that :D but that's ok we don't all have to be the same thank you for sharing your point of view, and sorry i'm just getting around to replying :D cheers!
No complaints with my stainless steel Vanuatu except for one slightly stiff link. The watch appears to be made to a high standard given what you pay. The overall package with the personal note and ISO test certificate is unique with watches in this price band. That wait list is a pain though. It took me 2 years to get to the top for this one and I still have another 6 months to go for a Komodo.
Hey! Thanks for the comment! I love that your Vanuatu has been good to you! I do agree that Helm makes a decent watch for the price Stay tuned for my following review I’m going to be showing the Maratac DC-50 It’s a little more expensive than the Khuraburi (still under $500), but it’s an insane value proposition from an authentic American micro-brand 500 meters of water resistance Helium escape valve Grade 5 titanium (not grade two like Helm) A 4hz Miyota 9015 are just some of the features Hope to hear from you on the next video Also, let me know if you ever get tvr Komodo The white dial, in my mind, is the best-looking helm by far 🍺
For USD400 its a great watch to own. Yes I agreed on the steel strap as yuo open it there a scratch marked on the case and that is something that Matt and HELM designers should take a look at it. The end links does not bother me as it only creates airy passage way that you dont sweat on your wrist. Overall my humble opinion on the HELM watches it a great watch to own. I have 2 Khuraburi and waiting for my 3rd Titanium version.
Hey! I'm glad you like the watch! I like the Khuraburi Ti a lot. It is a great watch! If you want to check out another fantastic Titanium diver that's similarly priced. Checkout my review of the maratac dc 50 It's my favorite sub 500 diver at the moment. It's an insane spec monster Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it 🍺
Good review Carlos, but about HELM , it's a ridiculous brand for me..waiting in a waiting list for months or maybe more than 1 year to get a simple watch similar to many others divers..for me HELM simply sucks.... cheers mate..
I can't say I disagree with you. It's pretty unbelievable the mental gymnastic people play to justify the purchase process 😆 Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙏🏼
@@arsoul1 man I sure hope not, lol I got mine a lot sooner than that Believe it or not, the black dial is not as popular. One time, they had so many they couldn't move they jumped about 500 places in line to try and move them 😆 Everyone was passing on them because most people were waiting for the White dial

@@MrBacchus18 that's awesome both that you love your Vanuatu and that you were able to sell your Miyako at msrp

Great review, but please drop that annoying repeating "music" in the background. It is extremely distracting and annoying.

Just bought one and for 380 dollars its a great little watch. Its an alternative to a prospex and a strap monsters. Thanks foe your content
Very nice!!!
Did you get it from Helm?
If so what was your wait time??
I hope you love yours by the way 🍔🍺
