Hi Connie, with new pencils, you should always give a quick sharpen before you swatch them or use them for the first time, because they have a coating on them that is to help prevent breakage during shipping. But I don’t think sharpening them will help with the scratchiness. The colors are pretty though… thank you for sharing.💞
Claire, I really wanted to love these pencils, but I must say I was so disappointed. The colours are beautiful and the pencils is very pretty, that is true hehehe. Maybe I am still trying to tell myself I will like them more if I just colour with them. But will give them a go in a book.

These pencils with the container are really pretty, it would look like a pretty decoration on your shelf.
I have these, that my husband bought me last Christmas. I found them scratchy too. Lovely colours

@connielovespencils to be honest I hardly use them as it takes a lot to get any colour out of them, even though they're pretty 🙂
