You guys should see it in person car looks so good that its actually scary when it approaches you from the opposite direction you feel like you are about to be eaten. Never judge new designs from internet pictures trust me. We can be happy that we as fanbase have something like M department they are very ballsy guys in terms of exterior design and performance.

Cloth roof? isn't that a downgrade from the last model with metal roof? I mean... yeah, is heavier but no one serious about performance would take the cabrio anyway and I bet retirees who would may rather have the metal roof
E93 M3 was and is still the best looking convertible IMO. The rigidity with the roof down, the inability to tell it's a convertible up until it "transforms", how you could lower all windows down with the pillar-less and look great... just amazing
The car is amazing no doubt but whoever made this video is an incredible artist i loved it the sequences were unbelievable. Big thumbs UP for the team i was fascinated!

Till they put the horizontal slate. The size is alright for me (if done right) but horizontal is just not BMW I used to know. But yeah I just need to see it irl
I'm sure they had to do the soft top to save weight on an already heavy car, not to mention the xdrive system on top of it. Bummer though, since the hardtops of the E92 and F82 were gorgeous imo.

A manual gearbox is not available in the BMW M4 Competition Convertible. If you want a manual M4, your only choice is the non-competition M4 Coupe (provided you don’t live in the British Isles where the manual isn’t available).
You would be absolutely crazy not to take the carbon-fiber seat option although I would agree with you that stupid piece in between the front bolster looks annoying

The new M cars have become too much like their Audi counterparts, removing the driver as a variable, making the interiors similar and requiring less skill to drive. It makes the cars feel like forza in a simulator rather than a visceral experience.
Sheer driving pleasure is the original slogan used in Germany and internationally since the 60s. They didn't change it, they just used the original or International slogan here. Ultimate driving machine is used only in US

@@tomtellem just did but here’s the deal. You take a 2014 535i and that car feels more Alive than the new m cars. You can feel with these new M cars the black magic that they throw into it to make it a monster performance machine. It feels very nice to drive and sit in and it doesn’t require much skill to drive fast. But that’s the problem. You look at the SMG era and yes, those cars are a nightmare to maintain but when they drive, look how much people enjoy them! Yes even the SMG cars. They’re quirky and by that fact they have a character you need to learn. The car feels “upset” and throws you a mean feedback when it is and it rewards you when you pull out of a corner with proper driving technique and THATS what makes these cars so addicting. But now you just turn the wheel and it’s okay to mess up, the car will still hook like it’s on rails and make you feel like you’re the best driver ever. If you’re into that then cool but that flavor of learning what makes your car happy and learning how to properly drive in the corners is like a mental addiction that isn’t the same when you don’t have it. And The worst thing is how they’re drying to make every interior the same to each other.
Would take this in a heartbeat if it's a hardtop. For long winters like Canada or anywhere in the world that's not Florida or LA, we kinda NEED the hardtop. Soft top looks awful, and with time it leaves dent and discolouration, not to mention the salt that we use to melt snow. BMW used to have those hardtops where Mecerdes didn't and that's why I've purchased the Z4, 435, 335 all cabrio because of that.
When are you going to get some inventory increases? I can’t sell my 2018 M2 because my dealer said so few M2s and M3s are being delivered there is a Massive wait list. I keep getting mailers to update to 2021 from BMW, but videos like this just feel empty without the ability to actually get one.

Aesthetically I would have preferred the hard top regardless of weight. Hardtop makes the car looked 100x better and less tacky

Metal roof lucks super clunky on the old one. This is definitely the way to go in my opinion.
