Strawberry Almond Sour Cocktail with Strawberry Almond Syrup | Bar Talk & Cocktails

Last time we made some Strawberry Almond Syrup. Sounds like a strange combo but trust me it isn't. The syrup is fantastic. However, what cocktail does one make with it? I've spent the last week experimenting and I think i've aced a recipe after try #6. I'm not saying versions 1 through 5 weren't any good. They were, but each time I would simplify the recipe more and voila! I present version 6 - simply called a Strawberry Almond Sour. I hope you enjoy! Cheers!

STRAWBERRY ALMOND SOUR

IN A SHAKER FILLED WITH ICE COMBINE:
1.5oz (45ml) - LONDON DRY GIN
1/4oz (7.5ml) - PINEAPPLE RUM
(Admiral's Old J Pineapple Rum)
3/4oz (22.5ml) - LEMON JUICE (Fresh Pressed)
3/4oz (22.5ml) - STRAWBERRY ALMOND SYRUP
GIVE IT A GOOD SHAKE. (ABOUT 10-15 SECONDS)
STRAIN INTO A CHILLED COUPE OR OVER ONE LARGE CUBE OF ICE IN A ROCK GLASS.
GARNISH WITH A STRAWBERRY.
