  • Wondering if investing in Tesla's Powerwall 3 home battery system is worthwhile? In this video, we'll analyze the key factors to consider and the potential benefits of adding a Powerwall to your home energy setup. There has never been a better time to reduce your dependence on the energy grid.
The Powerwall 3 has a total energy capacity of 13.5 kWh and a continuous power output of 11.5 kW. Now, one single unit can potentially back up your entire home when an outage occurs. Plus, you can store more energy for increased bill savings. Units begin powering the home as soon as an outage is detected, while similar home batteries experience a delay of 2-5 seconds, which means you'll never get caught in the dark again.
It can be bundled with solar panels to store excess energy produced during the day for use at night or during a power outage. The lithium-ion battery is designed for indoor or outdoor installation.
We'll cover how combining a Powerwall with solar panels can further increase your energy resilience and cost savings. Whether purchasing outright or exploring financing, this video provides valuable insights to determine if the Powerwall 3 is a smart investment.

I'm in Australia, have solar, a Tesla powerwall 2, and technically, I'm still a ways behind financially, BUT... I'm the only one in my street with power when there is a blackout. I'm the only one not paying peak power rates between 3pm and 11pm, and, I can export power during those peak hours, maximising my ROI. And, best of all, I don't have to draw power from the grid during those hours, thereby reducing pollution. I still do use TINY amounts of grid power on the odd occasion though, because I live in a small house with a small roof. So, is the Powerwall worth it? You betcha.

We have the older generation power walls in two houses. They rock.

Hopefully this thing will become the de-facto industry standard and henceforth the other guys will offer clones with basically the same spec. When these other guys do that, hopefully prices will drop, like we so badly need.

Can I ask, what happens if you already have an inverter? Can you disable the powerwall 3's built in inverter?

The Tesla Powerwall 3 is capable of AC Coupled integration, so even if you already have an inverter for your solar system, you will still be able to add a Powerwall 3 to create a battery + solar backup system!

It shouldn't cost more than USD2500. Otherwise Elon is raking in 1000% profit!

I have a Powerwall 2 but would never buy another Tesla product. When Musk moved to Texas he dropped the facade and revealed he’s just another as--- plutocrat. And since he suddenly fired the supercharging staff for his flagship vehicles with no notice, I don’t see him as anymore reliable as a battery vendor. He’d have no qualms about bricking the Powerwalls on a whim.
