I found this exact machine in a thrift store for $4 but since it was so cheap I just passed over it and didn't buy it. Then I went home and looked up that machine on the internet and was shocked to see the value. I was sick to my stomach that I didn't buy it. The thrift store opened the next morning at 10:00 am and I was standing at the door hoping the bread machine was still there. YES! It was. I took it home and it works great. Been using mine for 2 years now and since we live in Texas we depend on it too. Thanks for your video.
$4.00 ?? you over paid and they saw you coming a mile away , it's worth tops 2 dollars !!!! , of course i am just joking and my oh my that was just a steal and you should have called the police on yourself !! , i bought a brand new Zojirushi Supreme from the Facebook last week for $125.00 and i couldn't believe it , happy breading
I got this machine 4 years ago, followed their instructions and always baked out a loaf that was too dense. By following your technique, for the first time, my bread loaf was perfect. My husband gave it a thumbs up, too. I really needed it to work as I am in Houston and the groceries are out of bread so this is a lifeline for my family. Should have known it would be good from a righteous baker. Thank you.
I just bought my zojirughi machine yesterday and saw this video. I made the white bread with your simple recipe. YUMMY… even my 10-12 yr old boys love it. Machine works all by itself once you pour in ingredients which takes approx 2 minutes. Wow what a life changer!
Strange question, but where did you get that spoon you are using in the flour. I think my grandmother had something similar. I would love to find one -it's so nice and sturdy and easy to hold!
I’m sorry it’s taken so long for a response. Your comment was hidden. The front of the handle reads: ADCO MFG I google searched, as well as EBay, and could not find one.
Thank you for this instructional video. I am a visual learner, this helps. However, I was too excited and I started the process before realizing I didnt have dry milk. I took out 2 Tb of water and added 2T milk at the base of the pan. This could end in disaster or it might not matter. We shall see. Either way. I am excited!
I have a newer model that my husband bought for A LOT MORE MONEY, Love the machine my problem is the bread usually rises too high touches the glass lid and then sinks in the middle. Our favorite bread is a cracked wheat made with Zoom cereal and yogurt.
You can. I would mix the dough, for 20 minutes. Chill dough overnight, in the fridge. Roll dough, cinnamon raisins etc. roll up. Then bake in the oven.
I've had 2 nasty bricks the first 2 times I tried my Zojirushi bread machine. It looks like your measurements are different than what they have in the manual so I'm gonna try this out!
These measurements are printed on the side of the bread machine. Make sure to aerate the flour, measuring correctly. I add 1 tablespoon yeast. I’ve never had a bad loaf. Let me know your results, please.
@@TheRighteousKitchen The model I have doesn't have the ingredients on the device. When I saw the ball in the kneading mode it looked pretty perfect following your method. The zojirushi book white bread recipe had more flour and a lot less water, and the other ingredients didn't match up with this either. Glad I found this!
I double checked and see what was wrong here. My modem actually has the ingredients on the side. Never noticed that. They say 320g of water but they also give you this measuring cup. Using 1.5 cups of water seems to have fixed my issue. I just checked and it rose perfect and is baking. It finally doesn't look like some rock hard brick. 320g on the cup they give you doesn't work right.
You have to aerate dry ingredients, for a good measure. If you are comfortable using a scale, us it. Always choose the method you are comfortable with.
Just aquired one. Looks nearly new. Have it set on “ quick” “dark” It’s been spinning for 10 min now but NOT heating up. Seems to me it’s broken and doesn’t heat anymore. Can someone confirm? Should it instantly heat up?? Thank you
I have a question. You said you used just plain White flour and not bread flour. Did you add vital wheat gluten or anything to it. What brand did you use if you don't mind me asking. I have a newer model Zojirushi that I have a love hate relationship with. I have had cheaper bread machines I have had no problem with as far as getting a good rise but this machine is constantly giving me bad loafs. I have tried everything. I just made a loaf and it did not rise well and was to firm. I did check all my products and they were fresh so I don't think that is the issue. I think I am measuring my flour wrong. I am going to try your method and go make another loaf and see what happens. I really like you used regular flour because bread flour cost more. We will see what happens.
I bought off brand all purpose flour at Costco. I buy what’s on sale. Measure the flour correctly. Make sure the yeast is good. Keep the yeast away from the salt. It has to be bad yeast, not giving a rise.
I got mine from a thrift store for $7, yeah. I’ve a question, can you make a 1 1/2 lb loaf in this machine and if so what adjustments would you make? Thanks
To solve: break ingredients into fourths. (Divide each ingredient by 4) Now we want to make 3/4 the recipe. (Multiply each ingredient by 3) ex: 3 cups flour divided by 4 equals .75, now we multiply .75 X 3 = 2.25, or 2 1/4 cups
Zojirushi Basic White Bread (Machine) Ingredients: 1 1/8 Cups water 3 1/4 Cups + 1 1/2 Tablespoons bread flour 2 3/4 Tablespoons sugar 3/8 Teaspoon salt 1 1/2 Tablespoons powdered milk 1 1/2 Teaspoons active dry yeast 1 1/2 Tablespoons butter Directions: Attach dough hooks to bread pan. Place all ingredients, into the bread pan; in order given. Select crust type. Select regular cycle or quick cycle. This will make a 1 1/2 pound loaf.

You lucked out! Good score!
What a find! I paid like $200 for mine, with every penny though! Glad you got such a great deal. Such a good feeling 😊

It came at the right time, didn't it?! I have family in Texas. I hope for warm, sunny days.... and quick! Glad you are up and baking.

Congratulations, on your Zojirushi bread machine!
Well goodness…love the 4 corners ….I get distracted too…thanks
You’re welcome.
I’m making this tonight in my zojirushi, I’ll let you know how it goes - thanks for sharing!!
Awesome! 🥰🥰🥰
I just bought that machine used for $150 and it was a good deal!
You’re going to love it!

It’s a vintage aluminum ice cream spade.
What does it say on the handle?@@TheRighteousKitchen

I think you made a good substitution. Also, dry creamer is a good replacement, if you have it.
Thank you for the video. What kind of yeast do you use?
Active dry yeast. I buy the large blocks at Costco or Sam’s Club. I store dry yeast in the freezer.
now what zodirushi needs to do is make a top to bread pan to create a pullman loaf.
I have a newer model that my husband bought for A LOT MORE MONEY, Love the machine my problem is the bread usually rises too high touches the glass lid and then sinks in the middle. Our favorite bread is a cracked wheat made with Zoom cereal and yogurt.
Cut back on the yeast. I love cracked wheat, but can’t eat it..
Can you use the white bread recipe to make cinnamon raisin bread in the bread machine

Sounds like you are back in action!
You’re welcome to follow me on Facebook. Check my blog for more bread recipes.
that looks awesome. I was researching this particular bread machine and love the results. Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome.
For all the brickers, Zojirushi uses 8oz 240ml, not 250ml. Never seen this mentioned aside from the manual.
I used cup measurement; as written on the side of the machine.
Im going to start using scales to measure my flour and sugar and water and milk. Much more accurate.

I don’t add vital wheat gluten.
@@TheRighteousKitchen Thank you.
If you turn the things that hold the blades on underneath the bread will slide out.
I am going to try that! Thank you!
Could you just make just dough caused I lost the manual of my same machine of yours
You can just make dough. I run it for 20 minutes.
Which model is this? I have a zojirushi bread maker bb-cc v20. Thank you.
BB - CC X20
Will this bread machine fit on a small counter space
It’s a large horizontal bread machine. I keep mine on the counter, but if space were an issue, I would choose a vertical loaf machine.
I got mine from a thrift store for $7, yeah. I’ve a question, can you make a 1 1/2 lb loaf in this machine and if so what adjustments would you make? Thanks

Zojirushi Basic White Bread (Machine)
Ingredients:
1 1/8 Cups water
3 1/4 Cups + 1 1/2 Tablespoons bread flour
2 3/4 Tablespoons sugar
3/8 Teaspoon salt
1 1/2 Tablespoons powdered milk
1 1/2 Teaspoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 Tablespoons butter

Attach dough hooks to bread pan. Place all ingredients, into the bread pan; in order given. Select crust type. Select regular cycle or quick cycle. This will make a 1 1/2 pound loaf.

@@TheRighteousKitchen thank you so much!
place on cooling rack so it cool evenly.
Yes. You're supposed to wait, before slicing. Theres' something about warm, freshed baked, bread though.
