Im gay and was at a straight club. I was there with my HUSBAND. I wanted a drink, walked over to the bar and ordered one.
While I was waiting, I scrolled through my phone.
All of a sudden I hear screaming and yelling, i looked up and a woman pointed at me.
Then, I realized what she was shouting about. She was on a deranged rant, about how I „touched her inappropriately“ and that I yelled disgusting things in her ear.
She was clearly drunk and looked totally out of her mind.
Tearful eyes, red face, yelling, and shouting in a crazy manner.
People came over, a bouncer came over (or security, idk), all were looking at me, getting aggressive.
I let her talk, she went on about the horrific things I supposedly did to her. I let her go on and then said ,,Give me one moment!“. I got out my phone, and called my husband over, my MALE HUSBAND, again, I’m gay, always was.
We showed everyone pictures of our multiple year-long relationship, showed our rings, kissed, and so on.
Luckily it was CLEAR to everyone, that I did not do anything and that the lady was lying. She was escorted away.
This can happen to anyone, it can happen to YOU. I was so lucky that I am gay, but with others, it won’t be so easy. Nobody will believe you. This happened in public, not in an office with the door shut, in an elevator without cameras, or a parking garage at night.
There will always be doubt, some people can just decide, for no reason at all, to destroy your life forever. There won’t be a reason.
Sadly, these people also ruin the chances of real SA victims being believed. It’s a sad world.

Thank you, luckily it was fine right away, but let’s say you are a public figure and have never done anything wrong. How many people out of 1,000 random individuals do you think are bad people, ambitious people who would do anything for money, or attention? Let’s say it’s just 10, ten out of a thousand. Now imagine you have millions of fans. That’s 10,000 bad people out of a single million (it could be way more than 10 people per thousand who are bad, too). Now imagine you have 4 million fans and many more who know about you. There is so much potential, for random people to just ruin your life for the sake of a joke. Logically there are also public figures that do all they are accused of and more, we should always look towards the less powerful first, but we seriously need to rethink how we handle this topic.

I think the most disgusting thing about situations like these, is how quickly - almost instantaneously - everyone turns against the accused, without bothering to wait for a second side to the story. With a snap of the fingers, everyone goes from passive to hostile, with absolutely zero hesitation and zero mercy.
And then once innocence is proven? Everything goes back to normal, like the accused did not have to air out their dirty laundry against their will to clear their name, and calm everyone's quick-tempered hostility.
And the worst thing is, these people don't learn from their actions, but instead continue to repeat their actions everytime a new accusation arises. Like a man that looks intently at his face in the mirror, and then forgets what he looks like as soon as he walks away.
Seriously makes me feel way worse for those falsely accused (like those you have covered in this video and beyond), who had to reveal secrets they didn't want to reveal, and face greater shame, they didn't want to face, to clear their name.

It isn’t a high chance that this may be the same dude that accused Tubbo, but the chances aren’t always 0.

  • @DigitalDipper
    @DigitalDipper 3 місяці тому +1097

Here's one that not many people know about because of how quickly it was disproven.
Back in March-April of this year, streamer Tubbo was in the midst of a subathon (stream for as long as the timer says, subs add time to the timer), he was 20-ish days in.
Around this time, a lot of other Minecraft creators were in the middle of being accused or proven of other not good things.
Then, one of Tubbos mods sent him a tweet and so he read it on stream. It was a tweet from a burner account with a screenshot of a written accusation against Tubbo, explaining how he SA'd her and drove her to his house while she was underaged back during 2021 after a party.
Tubbo was shocked and literally in the middle of a stream to thousands. He disproved it to the best of his abilities
The accuser said that he drove her to his house, taking advantage of her while she was drunk. Here's the thing, Tubbo doesn't have a license. He has a provisionary drivers license, which means he's not allowed to drive unless his mom is in the car with him, or someone else who's had a license for 25 years, so that's impossible. Also, he never went to any party's during 2021. Because it was COVID, it was lockdown, and he was 17 and in the middle of blowing UP online due to the DSMP.
Also, TUBBO IS GAY. He is not ANY WAY attracted to women or girls!!
He did the best he could to disprove it and move on, and then a couple days later the same account came forward and said "Is this when I come out and say that this whole thing was a major, fucked up social expirement to show how easy it is for something this dumb to go viral"
She said that she and her friends saw how easy allegations with "no evidence" were going viral and so decided to use Chat GPT to write it and "if the AI had learned more about Tubbo and said some factual stuff, for example, writing from the perspective of a male and using something other than a car, and if Tubbo wasn't live at the time that I posted this, everyone would be saying 'Fuck Tubbo'"
All this did was make it harder for people to trust actual victims. They said "Believe all victims, but remember, innocent till proven guilty."
They deactivated their account and this cost Tubbo multiple sponsorship deals for events he was trying to do, costing him at least £10k.
It was so infuriating at the time but because of how quickly Tubbo disproved it and the account admitted it, it was kind of forgotten about.
(Sorry for the ramble, it just still boils my blood every time i think about it. The account had a fair and valid point, but this was absolutely not the way to go about it)

Here's my crackpot theory: these burner accounts accusing successful Internet celebrities are industry plants, manufacturing drama so companies can end and later revise (for lower benefits) their partnership with these celebrities.
Notice how the sponsors leave after innocence is proven.
The PewDiePie case led to the first Ad-pocalypse, which made many brands revise how much money they wanted to pay UA-cam to advertise on the platform. The same thing happened with with the the "UA-cam wormhole", which was a fabricated drama made by a random guy no one heard of, and the journalists eere quickly to jump on, despite the blatant lies and misinformation being spread. Advertisers used that drama to pay less for ad space on the platform.

Bung sided with Orion when the drama heated up, but once Orion was outed as a liar, LordBung also wiped their socials, including their patreon... and then an infamous animation Orion "convinced" Bung to make also got leaked, which quickly became infamous in the SCP Community.

People like her manipulating others only gets people to cast doubt on actual victims, making them feel that talking about their trauma would just receive dismissal by everyone. This can add additional trauma to victims, feeling as if nobody would truly believe them. My sister was nearly victimized before, my cousins where there to thankfully protect her.

Terrible, but definitely, we all have a lesson to learn from that situation. People are quick to jump on the hate train for the accused, and justify this behavior by thinking "the victim is always right," because obviously if it was the other way around and it really did happen to the victim, being not believed is horrific. This way of thinking is NOT wrong, but what IS wrong is instead of comforting the victim and trying to discover the truth, people instantly attack the accused. The victim should get care but that doesn't mean the accused should be ruined when there isn't even solid evidence. It's possible to be on a victim's side without attacking the accused blindly. What the Internet should learn from these cases, is to be vigilant, thorough in research to form opinions, and to stand by the "innocent until proven guilty" rule.

I hate the way people are so quick to judge when an allegation comes out. Even if they've been watching this content creator for so long, and the allegation has no proof, they just start hating on the creator. Then, when the allegations are proven false, they start siding with that creator again, pretending asif they always were, and they never believed the allegations.
It just feels like those type of people can't even think or make a decision on their own. They just follow other people's decisions

Edit because people can't read: I like how someone said "yeah irrefutable evidence", _despite my entire argument centering around said evidence._ My point isn't "he's innocent" or that it denies the legitimacy of the evidence, rather, all this evidence and NO court. *Why?*
Reminds me of Mr. Beast. Sure he isn't doing the greatest at clearing his name, but one thing that throws me off is Dog mentioned "workplace abuse" and I'm like "so you're going to NOT sue?" In addition, a similar situation happened to Linus Tech, not as extreme, but like, they didn't sue because the allegations were false, and, of course, it was only an EX-employee, not even a current one. People lie on the internet, why do you think scams exist? Being an ex-employee means NOTHING if you don't exercise it! Make a legal case! You want an explanation? FORCE ONE THEN! You're not bringing anyone to justice without a legal battle!
As it stands, it seems Dog just wants attention and money, not justice. Promise you, once he stops getting attention and the claims are TRUE, he's suing. Dirty.
Edit 2- I just learned Dog actually made a follow up and bringing in ANOTHER ex-employee, with MORE evidence. Still no court! How can you be so blatantly oblivious? Just... do SOMETHING.
