- Watch as we go step by step through an entire 6 speaker install on a Roadglide owned by cue from Riding and Wrenching, we walk Cue through his own DIY install. He upgraded from the factory GT radio to the Soundstream HDHU14+ Radio. We also used Precision Power’s latest MAA4.400 800 watt plug n play amplifier to power the HD14.654 6.5”Front upper fairing speakers, HD14.654 Tourpack Speakers and MAS.694 Rear Lid mounted 6x9’s using the Precision power HD14.SBS Cut kit. This system sounded amazing once finished and looked great too. It was a pleasure spending the day with Cue and I’m sure you will enjoy this time with him as well. Please take the time to subscribe to Riding and Wrenching as well as Volunteer Audio!

I can tell the owner of the bike is no stranger when it comes to doing his own work. Great job!
Cue for sure knows his way around his bike
Just came across this company/channel. I was on the verge of taking my ‘16 Roadglide to the dealer to have them fix my audio issue. After watching this and knowing the simplicity of your products/harnesses you provide, I will be tackling this upgrade by myself with one of your packages soon. First rate content! Hate watching videos that skip through, causing pitfalls for amateurs like myself 👌🏻💯
Thank you for watching!
Great video as always. I’m very impressed with the detail and wealth of knowledge you share, it’s appreciated. Installing my Infinity set I ordered from you today, you guys have been great and I really the speed of everything especially communication & shipping I’m very impressed.
Awesome, thank you for the purchase and watching!
Love the ride Cue, following your channel
I learn a lot from that video and put my total t Trust in the way that you accomplished having him feel like he was really completing it all by himself he was really proud of himself and I know you are a Hands-On guy but you only instructed and stepped in when you only needed to step in I need to bring my bike to you so that you can help me pick out the right equipment to install in my 2010 CVO Street Glide thank you
Thank you so much for watching!
Great video and a beautiful bike!!!!
Thank you for watching!
Cue you have to do the lowers. All your sound when you ride comes from the front. Love Riding and Wrenching. Enjoyed the video. #Keep Gliding! #Memphis Glide!
Great Video!
Thank you for watching!
Great video! Next time use a garbage bag in the saddle bag & close the lid. The bag will catch all the shavings & makes for a fast cleanup.
Thank you for watching, we always empty the bag before starting and vacuum it after
Amazing quality and install.
Thank you!
@@volunteeraudio On a 2020 RG limited without bag speakers. Do I need remove the tank?
I assume I can use the stock wires on the passenger speakers?
I also want to add lower speakers near the radiator 's
I want to order the correct kit from you and install myself.
Local shop wanted 2 days labor to install a hodge podge arc/alpine system. No thanks.
GOOD SOUNDS !!!!
Thank you!
So cool!
Great video
Thank you!
I'll add a few comments with the questions I had and the issues I ran into as I just completed the same kit and amp but did Hertz speakers.....1. The amp you want the power to go towards the rear of the bike, not towards the front. 2. The power and harness, if you could show exactly where you are pushing it through, as mine goes around a corner since I couldnt get it to exactly fit where the factory harness is (there is a clip that the factory harness goes through that I couldnt get the new harnesses through so I may need to go back). 3. On the precision power speaker cutouts I REALLY wish I would have known to follow the OUTSIDE line vice the inside, as I fought and fought to get my grills flush (they still arent flush to where I would like at this point because the holes I cut are still a bit too tight if I had to guess). I always cut to the inside of any line so now I am somewhat stuck as I am not sure where I need to trim extra. 4. The screws for the grill kit area PAIN to get in!!! Try and be patient and do the front screws first and you will finally get them in. 5. With the Precision Power speaker kit it has a rubber gasket so DO NOT use silicone. (I used some anyhow because of the fitment issues I ran into and will eventually have to correct it.). 6. It would have been nice to know that I needed to make the hole bigger for the grommet!! LOLZ I wish mine would have gone as easily as J and Q's did, as I would simply walk away and cool off when I ran into issues and ended up taking a LOT longer since it was over 100 degrees in my garage (I mounted the amp wrong (following the instructions I used the plate for the streetglide and had to go back and remove it (once I called and was told to use the velcro and not the screws even though you guys had to mail me a screw kit LOLZ), I had to run the power a few times as I couldnt get enough slack due to the fuse holder not making it outside the wiring box (Its still very tight, I may go back and look at how its ran), I ran into issues with my holes for the speakers being too small and I think they still are (mine arent perfectly flush and I think will leak), due to that, getting the holes lined up was extremely difficult, the grommet hole was totally too small and I finally surrendered and made the hole bigger. Other than all those issues my install went fine.... LOLZ. I think the system sounds GREAT, I rented and returned the flash computer (I coudlnt get the carplay flash to work so I put my cheater whim plug back in), and the speaker terminals from Harley are super loose and the ones from your harness are SUPER tight...I bent one speaker pin but its all currently working fine :D TAKE ALL THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT....ITS NOT MEANT TO BE NEGATIVE....this was my fist time doing this and I am one of those guys who is a perfectionist. I am 100% satisfied!! I called into Volunteer Audio while doing the install and they were 100% on top of it!! THey next day shipped some parts for me, I used thier flash tool and they included a shipping label for return, the bike sounds FANTASTIC and there is NOWHERE else I would call to do this!!
Sorry you didn’t get to watch our step by step video first, we use these same cut kits in each install and have went over it in previous videos as well, I’ll post a cut kit only video soon to try and prevent others from having issues. If you still have the template simply put it back on the lid and use a marker to mark the area you did not cut out. That place you mention for the wiring to run through has a bolt the plastic clips too, sometimes you can pry out slightly to make room and sometimes we unbolt it for more room. Yes the drill bit included was for wiring precision power never shipped so we upsize the hole to 7/8” to fit out saddletramp harness
I have also requested about 6 inches of additional power and ground in future wiring kits from precision power
@@volunteeraudio Jay...I just want to ensure you realize I wasnt complaining...I LOVE the kit and just wanted to post on the things that I ran into being it was first time I ever did it. If I do another bike it will go 10 times faster I am sure and I wont hit any issues at all (well maybe only 1 or 2 LOLZ) I did watch the other install video's a few times (multiple video's and multiple times). I figure if we dont speak up as to what us first timers hit that arent covered you will never know. Installing the amp on the install plate was a big one, as every video says "just install it" when in actuality, there are a LOT of different ways..LOL (and then I found out not to use the heat sink at all..LOLZ). THe cut kit is completely self explanatory, but I still kept completely to the inside....especially being first time I ever cut one. I should have kept the templates, but I tossed then since it was garbage day... :D....another lesson learned, should have tossed them on a shelf... :D. Anyhow, its all good, I am just a perfectionist is all...and all these things are what I would have noted for next time. It still sounds FANTASTIC!! Also, I texted back and forth with Samantha a bunch of times once I ran into issues....she was GREAT!!! I was the one who sent a pic with tape measure, for placement of the amp being velcro'd :-P
@@volunteeraudio yeah...the power was tight for me...but I am wasting about 2-4 inches since I didnt route it the same as you. (I would bet most of us end up doing it how I did it LOL) there was PLENTY of space for the speaker harness...power was tight.
@@redrider0151 thank you for your comments and time, I’m very happy that you are happy with the system and grateful for your business!
Surprised you didn’t mention the sound deadening for the speaker pods. Soundskin’s product.
We did not have them at the time of this install, we added those at a later date
I'm interested in getting the same setup minus the radio. I have a 2021 road glide limited. need 6 speaker setup with lids cut kit.
Give us a call 1-844-30AUDIO to go over options
On other videos you say to reverse the wires for the bags because of the backbone wire being backwards in the connection
Sometimes they are reversed, Harley is not consistent in rear speakers wiring, we recommend using a speaker polarity tester after install is complete
On this install it had a stock tourpack and we wired the backbone harness to the amp so polarity was good, upon final polarity check the right front was wired backward from the factory and we corrected the issue
@@volunteeraudio thanks
How much is a complete installation for the hertz stage 4 with sound stream radio?
Call us at 1-844-30AUDIO to go over pricing and options
I feel confident in doing my own system now. The only question is how would I do the mid-bass in the saddle bags. How to cut the holes out. That’s my only issue. Any help please
Give us a call and we can go over these questions 1-844-30AUDIO
Awesome video Jay
Do you plan to review and install the PPower drop in subs
Once they start shipping we do
The GPS antenna is not used and assumes your phone is connected. Is there a backup plan if I lose of forget my phone, or am just out blasting for a couple of days and leave my electronics at home?
This radio uses apple CarPlay or android auto for navigation and uses the embedded gps chip in your smart phone for location, it continues to work even if you lose cell service but you will need your phone to be present, we also offer the Soundstream reserve v2 which has built in navigation as well
Sounds great! I’m interested in a 19 CVO streetglide 6 speaker replacement using the precision power amp and speakers keeping my head unit. Do you offer a plug n play kit for precision power yet?
We do, you can call 1-844-30AUDIO tomorrow and we can send you a custom invoice
Have you installed Eight Speakers on Ultra CVO or Limited or CVO Road Glide Limited..!!!
I could not find details on your website.
We do, there are many variables to lower speakers so we build these kits to your options, it is best to call us at 1-844-30AUDIO
Great video… what did you do with the GPS cable?
You do not use a gps antenna when using a Soundstream radio
Great video!
I have the baja lights on my road glide. Can I use foil tape or any other means to waterprrof the thumb control module since it's not waterproof?
Just mount it high and you won’t have water issues
@@volunteeraudio but will foil tape interfere with it? I don’t trust mounting it high. I don’t want to take a chance
@@RealRonTV I would use silicone over foil tape
@@volunteeraudio thank you
That sounds good…. No dsp.. 👀👀👀… what’s Q’s discount code ? Lol..
Yes these sound great with no DSP needed!
Is the amp powering all the speakers
Yes
@@volunteeraudio does it come prewired like that or do you use do that. And is the 6.5 wired in parrell then
I didn't get the grills for my front speakers. Only the round grill covers which I will not use. 😢
There was a bright pink piece of paper in your order. It says that the grills are on backorder and to call us if you need the grills at 1-844-30AUDIO
I'll give yall a call today. Need some questions answered anyway. Thanks
Hey, Can we do my Harley Triglide CVO?
Just finished one
@@volunteeraudio how’d it come out? Any video of it?
@@troyblume51 exactly like this one ua-cam.com/video/fNCDqvPuYNk/v-deo.html
Which precision power amp was used? How many watts was it? Isn't there a 4 channel 600 watt PP amp? What is the price? Hertz also just came out with a 900 watt 4 channel amp...Has Volunteer audio received it?
The amp used was the MAA4.400 from precision power

Yes we received the 2000 watt hertz amp yesterday, we will be launching a video on it soon
