- In this video, we doing our first step by step install on this beautiful 2022 Harley Davidson Tri Glide! We're going to walk you through the installation of our Volunteer Audio Hertz Stage 4 package that includes a set of SX165Neo 6.5" speakers in the upper fairing, a set of SV165Neo 6.5" speakers in the tour pak, and we top it off with the amazing Hertz Sp 4.900 2000w peak plug n play amplifier!

Excellent video regarding the Hertz Stage 4 Plug n Play Amp System. I watch several other videos regarding what audio system would best meet my listening needs when riding my 2023 H D Tri Glide throughout the city and on the interterstate. I live in Charlotte, NC. I also spoke with a few installers in my area and decided they did not fully know what system would best meet my audio upgrade needs and wanted to charged more for less quality sound and equipment. Again, I revised U-Tube to continue my research and then decided to give Volunteer Audio a call to discuss my concerns regarding upgrading my audio system. They provide excellent information for me to reflect over and make a decision if I wanted to go with the Hertz stage 4 plug n Play Amp system. I decided to schedule an appointment to have the system installed; I took the solo ride from Charlotte, NC to Oliver Springs, TN (a beautiful ride through the mountains). I met Jay and his lovely wife on a Friday, dropped the Trike off, Jay provided me with a ride to hotel that I was stayinging and pick me up the next day when my bike was ready to be pick up and head back to charlotte. Had good weather throughout the trip. Missed the expected thunderstorms, lol
Bottom Line:
Jay provided an excellent audio system to meet my audio riding needs for my 2023 HD Tri Glide for a fair price. Again watch the video regarding the skill level needed to properly install the system, (yes, some can do it themself, but I preferred Jay). I am enjoying my Hartz Stage 4 Plug n Play amp System. I highly recommend Volunteer Audio if it is within your budget. You will have made a wise choice. My opinion !!!

Just installed Hertz stage 4 plug and play amp system on my 2021 TriGlide and did radio flash. It took about 5 hours total. Used video as my guide and was very easy to follow and install,what a great system sounds great. Thanks Jay and the team at Volunteer Audio

Hey Jay, I just installed this same system in my 2019 H-D Trike this past Saturday. (03/25/2023) First of all your staff is by far, hands down the best. But I do have a bone to pick with you. On my ride to work this morning, I think I may have done some damage to my hearing. I can only hope this is temporary. It would have been nice if you would have warned me my system could be that LOUD and still have no distortion at 75mph (yes that’s the posted speed limit in AZ) WOW what a great set up. Thanks very much for an awesome system. And if anyone is wondering is this setup is that good, IMO it’s not good it’s FANTASTIC !!! BTW I'm not blaming you for the hearing damage, LMBO

Just finished installing the stage 4 system in my 2015 Triglide. Thank you for the install videos, great help. Love the new system, sounds great. A few more problem than Jay had, but was my first not hundredth lol. Well worth the effort & expense.Thank you Jay & Volunteer Audio!

Curious if one of your front speakers is out of phase, do you just cut cut the wire and switch them Sauter of course? Thanks.
Wish I could bring my 2018 road glide special there to get hertz upgrade with soundstream installed.. But I guess I'll have to do it myself in TX 😔 😂 I am 33 years old, and listen to new heavy metal and hardcore music lol I been leaning towards sx165 neos with hertz 600W and soundstream. Also just stage 2

Happy Labor Day! Waiting for my stage 4 for factory gt radio on 2015 Triglide, delivery today! One question no one has answered … can I get apple car play to work? My bike has whim installed, with wireless headphones. Also getting flash tool.
If you have the stock 2015 radio it is not capable of apple CarPlay
When you did the polarity check was system on, had you already flashed it . Where did you get the sound from

Great video Jay...will the mid bass be lost going 75 down the road since it is behind the rider? I wonder why he didn't opt to put lowers..🤔
No, this frequency range is still heard at highway speeds, sub bass is more often lost, it had stock tourpack speakers and if you listen to the walk away it is more than loud enough with 4 speakers, we will launch a video soon with a cvo triglide that we did lowers as well
@@volunteeraudio the walk away was amazing...I love my hertz speakers...I was thinking about changing my coax neos for the sv in the tourpac to give me more mid bass from the rear or do you think the change will be nominal and I should just keep the coax??
I lose my bass from my subs and I like bass going down the road...

Hi Jay, can you install the Hertz Sv -165’s in the front fairing and Hertz SX-165’s in the rear tour pak or vice versa… rather than installing 2 - pair SX-165 in the front fairing & rear tour pack. I have 2014 CVO limited….
Yes we more often than not use the sv165neo in the tourpack and lowers and use the sx165neo up top
I just ordered a Hertz stage 4 with SX165 fairing speakers and SX690 lid speakers for my 2023 Street glide special. I love the sound of the tri glide in this Video with the sv165 in the tour pack. Will the base in the SV690 sound as good as the Tri Glide with the rear SV165 ?
The sx690neo have good bass but also add some treble, the more treble you have the less bass you hear. Both are great speakers
@@volunteeraudioI just finished my install and with the SX690 its very very bright was hoping for more mid base. It is clear and loud no doubt about that. If the 6x9s were replaced with SV 165s would there be better mid base ? Would SV165 fit in the saddle bag lids and any other adjustment required ? Or could the 6x9s brightness be reduced
@@JBVStar1100 turn down the treble in your radio if you want to decrease brightness, you may have polarity backwards causing a lack of bass also, give us a call if you need help checking polarity at 1-844-30AUDIO
What if I listen to ALL types of music will this be a good setup for me I am also on a tri glide and can’t hear anything from my factory speakers whenever I’m cursing on the interstate
Yes this system will sound great with all genres of music, and louder than the wind or engine at 85+ mph
Did the stock radio have to be flashed? Looking to go to hertz amp from boom audio

At the beginning of the video you said something about flashing the radio. I did not see that step. I’m wanting to install this on my 2022 tri glide. Did you flash the stock unit?
Yes you must flash the radio when using the factory radio

When you talk about reversing the polarity on the speakers, are you cutting and switching connections?😊
We are swapping the positive and negative wires at the speakers
If the speaker won’t accept the terminals I repin the connector at the speaker pod to correct the issue
So you de-solder the actual wiring at the speaker & swap them?
@@59slimjim no I repin the connector outside of the pod and swap the wire locations
what do you use to flash the radio, for one the amp and the other for the car play?

I’ve been looking at your packages online. It shows the Hertz speakers being rated at 100RMS. Is there any concern getting the larger amps that are pushing over the 100RMS numbers? I want a great sounding system but I don’t want to be blowing speakers. There seems to be 3 choices in your packages but some are over the rated RMS.
The key is low distortion amplifiers, all of our amps are less than 1 percent distortion at rated power, we use the larger hertz amp and have no issue blowing speakers because we set the amps to not clip or distort
